Thanks for the quick replies. With all of the flooding I was going to call and check on the hotel where I had a room reserved, and I found an email indicating I had cancelled. Not sure how that happened, but now I have to start looking again. Your input will be very helpful.

I need a hotel room for 2 people on 9/22/17. What part of Miami has been least affected by Irma?
-
What part of Miami should I look in for a hotel for 9/22/17? I thought I had a reservation but somehow I cancelled it accidentally ;p.

I think you probably need to take different quizzes. But that shouldn't be a problem, there are lots to choose from. If you don't pass the first try, it's easy to pass the second try because they gave you all of the answers the first time.

Not sure this helps, but I checked my documents for my cruise on Vista in September. The luggage tags clearly say FTTF but the only thing I can find on the individual boarding pass for each person is a bar code, nothing in writing. I'm guessing FTTF is coded in the bar code or connected to the booking number. If that's the case, I think you'd be fine arriving at different times since the boarding passes are individual. But that's purely a guess.:D

Thanks everyone. My daughter needs to have some light or she gets claustrophobic. I had forgotten about the bathroom arrangement. Decided on 2 4Ks.

I'm looking at an Alaska cruise with my husband and 2 adult children. How tight is an OV cabin? We normally would aim for two cabins, but we would have more money to spend on excursions if we could be in one. Thanks for the help.

I always take any over the counter medicines that I think I might need, including Tylenol, ibuprofen, sea-sickness medicine, nasal decongestant, allergy medicine, cough suppressant, Pepto-bismol and Imodium. Check labels before giving anything to kids - regular Pepto contains aspirin and shouldn't be given to kids under 16 and Imodium generally isn't recommended for kids.
I also take first aid stuff like Band Aids and antibiotic ointment and anti-itch cream. You never know when you might need it.

A lot of people climb Dunn's Falls here which is fun however, getting out of the place, due to the physically aggressive vendors, is a nightmare!
If you politely say no thank you and keep walking past the displays you will be fine

[Lastly, you do know that all antibiotics are not created equally, right? For example some work better on gram positive while other are better for gram negative bacteria.
And no antibiotic will treat a viral infection. If you must buy antibiotics just to"have on hand" please see a health care provider before taking any. Improper use of antibiotics is why there are "super bug" that are resistant to common antibiotics. Most infections in adults are viral and will get better with just treatment of the symptoms.
(Stepping off my soapbox. ;))

How was your tour? Would you recommend this company?
-
That's reassuring. Thanks!

How hard is it to find a seat in the sun on Vista on sea days? Away from the pool is fine, just looking to enjoy the sun.

Is there any way you can record it and watch it later? Just a thought - I'm not very tech savvy:o

Carnival offers a four hour excursion to Altos de Chavon and the Cave of Wonders for about $60. I am interested primarily in the caves and I'd rather go with a private company but I can't find anyone who goes there. Any suggestions? I am open to seeing other places too, but the caves are my number one choice. It will be just me and my husband.

Were they Maine lobster tails or something smaller?
-
How much privacy is there in an aft balcony? Trying to avoid some of the crowds on Vista but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost. Thanks.
-
No, we miss Coco Cay.:(

Was it Maine lobster or some other kind?

If you leave them together, your cabin steward will have to stand on them to make the beds in the upper bunks;)

You might want to check the average high and low temps and percent humidity for the ports of call that each cruise visits. I don't know that I'd want to be too far south if there is potential for extremely hot weather.

Which specialty restaurant on Vista is you r favorite and why?
-
Ok, thanks.

I have some gift cards that I want to apply to my balance. My cruise is booked with a TA. I can't find anywhere in my Carnival account to apply the cards. Am I missing something or do I have to go through my TA? I know major changes have to go through the TA, but I would think Carnival would take my money straight from me.:D

If you want something more private, you could arrange something at one of the specialty restaurants.
FWIW, the current cruise director on Vista is Schwartz. I'm sure he would be helpful.
