For our first cruise, my husband gave me a plastic toy boat with "cruising" written on the side. I was confused at first but caught on quickly. :p You could do something like that with the name of the ship written on the side.

Check with his orthopedist about using a scooter that he can kneel on. It would increase his speed, take weight off of the injured leg and eliminate the strain on his back from uneven leg lengths. It may not be appropriate for his injury, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I just did a search of this tread with Gigi as the key word. Lots of entries came up. I got nothing using Jewish or cemetery as the key word - not sure why. Anyway, I hope this works out for you and that you enjoy your cruise. I'll be there in Sept 2017 and I can't wait.

The posting that I saw was on Trip Advisor, not CC. It was from 2012 and the tour operator was named Gigi. There isn't a website but her email address is listed as gigischeper at Hotmail dot com. Hopefully she can help you.

Have you tried doing a forum search? I don't remember the details well, but I did come across a post from someone who arranged a tour privately. I believe it was from a few years ago, but it might still be relevant.

I haven't cruised the Mexican Riviera, but I did go to Cozumel and another Mexican port on the east side of the country in August and it was extremely hot and humid. The cruise was great otherwise.

I called and it was just to confirm the shipping address and make sure that I understood that it would need a signature because of the amount. I may not be home when it gets delivered, and the customer service rep. said that they should leave a note with info on how to get it. I work part time so using my work address won't work. Otherwise, that's a good idea.

My mom and I are toying with the idea of a "girls only" cruise. It would be five women, ages 40 to 75. Any suggestions for cabins? Do any ships have cabins for 5 adults? I am the only one who has cruised before, so where we go is less important than how we get there. I'd also like to sail for only 4-6 days since the others haven't cruised before. Which lines/ships would you recommend to avoid a "booze cruise"? I've cruised Carnival, RCI and NCL, but I am open to suggestions. Thanks so much for the help.

If everything is about the same, I'd go on the Nassau excursion this trip and plan another trip - either as a departure point for another cruise or as a land based vacation - to Port Canaveral.

If you are using nursery water for the purity, then the water on the ship should be fine - it is about as pure as it can be. If you are using it for the fluoride, then consider asking your health care provider for a prescription for liquid fluoride to use while you are on the cruise. Either way, you won't need to lug a gallon of water around while you wait for your cabin to be ready and you won't need to go back to your cabin every time your child needs something to drink.

If you really don't want to use anything else, see if you can get something in writing from the special needs department. I would hope that if it is preapproved, you wouldn't be hassled about it when it's time to board.

I am traveling with my family in two cabins, so we have two reservation numbers. We have MTD so I thought I should make a reservation for dinner on the first night to try to avoid as much ciaos as possible. I made the reservation for the first cabin without any problems. When I was making the reservation for the second cabin, I noticed I could add guests, so I added the first cabin. Both cruise planners are listing the reservations, the second lists the added guests. Since the two people in the first reservation are listed as guests on the second reservation, do they really have two reservations? Should I cancel the first reservation? On line isn't ideal, but I'm trying to find an alternative just in case I don't get to a store. The sites I've looked at have detailed directions for sizing; I wouldn't order from one that doesn't have a good return policy. For me, it was basically equal, and I kept control of which airline and flight, timing for transportation and hotel location. For me, the convenience of having someone else book everything wasn't worth the loss of control.

I always bring a few extra days worth just in case something happens. Have never needed them, but better safe than sorry.
