I have a cruise booked directly with RCI that came with OBC. If I transfer the booking to a TA, will the OBC transfer with it or will I lose the OBC? Thanks.

Is it the DVT or the warfarin that is the issue? If it's the drug, perhaps your doctor can change it to one of the newer anticoagulants that don't require as much monitoring as warfarin.

I wouldn't trust anything that isn't individually wrapped, even if the recipe is nut-free. Too much potential for cross-contamination if someone uses the wrong serving utensils.

We'll be in port from 4-11 pm. I'm looking for something to do after the forts close. I found a walking tour that starts at 6pm but the reviews have been mixed - either very good or very bad. Not sure I want to risk what little lime we have.

I asked this on the San Juan board, but got no help. My husband, DD - 21, DS - 18, and I will be on IOS in June. We will try to see at least one of the forts on our own, but what should we do after that? Thanks.

Has anyone done a tour with this company lately? Specifically, the evening tour? The reviews are mostly positive, but the negative reviews are really negative and Debbie's replys are very defensive. Any imput is welcome. Thanks.

I had planned to walk around Old San Juan and see the forts on our own. I didn't notice that we don't dock until 4pm. If we are off the ship by 4:30, can we see one of the forts on our own without being rushed? The web site says that they close at 6pm. What would you do after that? We are a family of 4 - Mom and Dad, DD - 21 and DS - 18. We'll be on Independence of the Seas in June 2015. Thanks for the help.

I didn't get an answer before the tour, but the answer was none. The tower of one of the castles was pointed out to us from a distance, but we didn't tour the castles at all. :(

My husband and I sailed on the Stilletto with Action Charters in March. We had a great time. They got us to the turtles before most of the other boats got there. We had our own snorkles and masks, but they do provide them if needed, along with fins and snorkel vests. We opted for the shorter sailing that didn't include lunch. When the time came, they got as close to the shore as they could, about 10-20 feet from shore , and we walked off the ladder at the front of the catamaran. They had a driver waiting to take us back to the ship. Later in the cruise we had another excursion with some of the people who had stayed for lunch - they said we missed a good meal.
The only "glitch" we had was that we weren't on their passenger list. I had copies of my emails confirming our reservation and they got us on without a problem. We paid the balance in cash at the beginning of the sailing. I wouldn't hesitate to sail with them again. Don't worry about the CC number. I doubt you'll have any problems, but even if you do, you can contest it with your CC company.

You also need to check with the cruiseline. They may not have room to add another person.:(

Be sure you have enough time to do everything on Royston's tour. We were in port from 7:00 - 3:00. We met at 8:00, toured the island and got to the last stop at the beach and had lunch. One couple wanted to go back to port for a little shopping, so he took them back and then came back to the beach for the rest of the people on the tour. On the way back, we got stuck behind a semi trying to go down a steep grade with sharp turns. It really slowed us down. Royston ended up cutting through neighborhoods to get us back to the pier on time. We were back on the ship at 2:40 with a 2:45 deadline. Needless to say, the ride back was tense. In hind sight, we should have started earlier and/or skipped the beach.

I can't get my head around the fact that it is not permissible to discuss travel agents or tour companies on this site when you can discuss insurance companies. Seems like the same thing to me....commercial interests.
I think it's because the insurance companies don't (can't?) promote themselves. If travel agents could be named, some one could pretend to be a client and then write glowing reviews about their services to drum up business.

My husband and I are booked on Equinox in March for 10 nights. We currently have a veranda cabin on deck 7. For $100 pp, we can change to a concierge guarantee. This will be our first cruise with Celebrity. We'll have 5 days in port and it's a working vacation for me, so a lot of my time on sea days is spoken for. Are there many concierge cabins that are "less desirable"? Some of the perks that we'd gain are nice, especially since it's only $10 a day pp, but we'll have a great time with or without them. Is it worth the price and the risk of not choosing your location? Thanks for your opinions.

That's what I thought. The tour has 1 hour allotted for Marigot. If I need more, I'll just have to plan another cruise .
-
My tour ends in Philipsburg at 1:30 and the ship departs at 5:00. With only 2 ships in port, will I have enough time to get to Marigot and back and still have at least an hour to shop or should I look for something else for the afternoon?
-
but I am booked to go in April. I'll try to remember to post a review when I get back.
-
or do something else. I currently have a reservation on Action Charters for a three hour sail and snorkeling trip. For $20 more, I could add lunch and another 2 hours of sailing. Should I try to do that, or should I look into something else on shore? Tha three hour trip ends at 1:00 and we are in port until 6:00 so I assume we have to be back on the ship by 5:30. Thanks for the suggestions.

How do they compare to calamari?

Has anyone taken the General Tour lately? How much time did you spend at each of the stops? Was the admission to the castles included in the tour price? I've emailed the company but all I got back was a general email that didn't have the answers to my questions. Thanks for the help.
Parasailing at Coco Cay

Does the parasailing excursion at Coco Cay have to be prebooked or can you just walk up and have your account charged then and there?
