Regal cruise with an interesting itinerary, because it made me realize I can live with some of the design changes.
To us the itinerary and the relative convenience of the flights (or Amtrak).
is more important than the ship.
We like the large Plaza (on Royal...have not sailed Regal as yet) just to sit and observe.

You can ask Stewart to leave the ice bucket out, if you need the room. We take it out and hide it on a shelf.

We ran through a variation of this when we saw a price drop of $350 USD on our October cruise. We got the drop but then saw that we had lost $150 each in onboard credits. We called Princess and were on the phone half the day but got the money back as "Customer Goodwill." Only thing we were stuck with is that my sister-in-law's 3rd passenger fare increased from $399 to $449.
Miracles do happen sometimes.

You can find the short cruises on the Princess booking page...
1) Plan a cruise
2) Destinations
3) Getaways (3-5 days). This is where you find them, not by clicking on Alaska or Caribbean or whatever. I hope you find something you like.

Pre-booked excursions do not have to be paid in advance. Our experience is that it is billed at the end of the cruise onboard ship. This way, you can cancel or change until the closing date/time for your excursion.

In general, if you have an Obstructed on Emerald deck by the bigger launches (usually towards the stern) you do not get a great view. The ones forward are over the smaller lifeboats & can have a decent view, especially if you are between lifeboats. Of course, these sell out fast.

I used to work in the grocery and wine business, and one of the vendors gave me a mirrored plaque of Swan Beer from Oz. I have not seen it in decades, and surely not on Princess.
My former store sells domestic Fosters blue, & green Bitters for about $2.29 an oil can.
The one I always got a laugh about is the Sapporo (first had it in Sapporo in 2009, yummy!) which is brewed in Toronto.
-
Last time we asked for Foster's we were told it was discontinued. Don't remember what ship or year.

We congratulate our friends in Toronto upon their destruction of the Boston Red Sox in today's game.
We in Manchester are the proud patrons of Toronto's AA team, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

After you get onboard you can go to the Future Cruise Consultant's office and book a future cruise. You have a choice of choosing one or booking an unspecified future cruise. The deposit is $100, and Princess gives you a Future Cruise Shipboard Credit which varies from $25 to $150, depending on cabin chosen and cruise length.
Once you do this you have two years to sail on that deposit.
If your cabin drops in price you can call Princess any number of times for a price reduction...we did this four times on our Vancouver to China one.

OP wants to jump ship in Halifax so as not to have to return from NYC. New Brunswick is a manageable distance from there.

This blockage also occurs in Mini-suites when the sofa turns into a bed. You have to do some twisting & maneuvering to get to the balcony.

My nine year old grandsons think it is mighty unfair that they still have blue cards. Kids stay blue until age 18.
Could Princess give them a gold card with blue stripes?

Wow...I don't see how you could not have heard it.
I am nearly deaf and even I can hear them.

The photographers who go ashore have an assignment based on the number of pictures they take. If it's 105 degrees out in the blazing sun, do them a favor and let them fill their quota so they don't have to stay out all day.

It wouldn't be so bad if they had some type of package deal
I got us a package deal on our first Princess cruise, Sept 21 2001, San Francisco to San Juan via Panama Canal. It was $50 or $55 for a welcome aboard bottle of Korbel and some fruit; a half-bottle with breakfast; and any size framed photo. The 8x10 photo is over on the right, on the bureau.
I never again saw these deals offered.

The birth certificate is a good idea. Would it be overkill to have the parents' also to show that you are the grandparents?

Do fill out a document with your & spouse's permission for (your son's full name as on passport) to travel with (names here.)
I thought of advising you to get it notarized & the USCBP website confirms this.

Do these officers keep a calendar with the girlfriends' names so as to remember who they are with that day?
Our junior waiter one time went to give a hug to his former boyfriend, a Purser officer, who was passing by with his new fiancée.

We just booked a cruise for October 2016, & only found out we were getting the casino rate when the Princess agent explained the pricing. It was a substantial savings and that's why we will be sailing from Barcelona to FLL.

We went thru KEF from Europe to BOS and didn't see our bags until BOS. Hope it's the same the other way.
-
There are some European ports (Athens comes to mind) where your returning bags are scanned in the terminal by port security and not at all onboard the ship.

We are glad to hear the good news. You have an excellent travel agent.
Grand Whittier departure - muster drill
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Almost all the crew have to go to Emergency Stations for muster drill; there is little to no service of any kind at muster time.
