We took a private tour when were were in the region. The smaller the group, the more you will see and get out of the tour.
I am also a huge F1 fan. The main street of Monaco is the circuit so, it is easy to see the track. The rubber from the race does not wash off so you can see it. year round. The curve at turn 5, down the hill around the Hotel Hairpin and into the tunnel is, well, more spectacular than can be seen on TV 🙂
To be honest, there is not much to see in Monaco, the circuit, the harbour, the Casino (which costs about 15 euros if I remember) and the castle.
The drive from Cannes along the Med is very stunning, through Nice and on to Monaco.
On the way back get your guide to drive up the side of the mountain and stop in Eze. A fabulous view of the Med, a fantastic garden and lots and lots of perfumeries.
