  2. Jean - First off, I am very sorry for the loss for you and your kids. That must be terrible, and I offer you my condolescences very much.

2nd - welcome to cruise critic. You can find out loads of info on this board. As mentioned above, the waters can be rough. I do not know much about bahamas, and mostly just wanted to welcome you and hope you find the beach right for you and your kids. Have read about cable beach also. You might want to go to the right of the screen under search, and type in beach or something like that and see what you can find out.

  3. Kroger - I've stayed at Quality Inn and Suites several times. Most comfortable bed ever. They are nice, has nice indoor pool and hot tub, breakfast is your typical continental breakfast. Never had any issues or problems at all. That used to be my first choice, very reasonable and great stay, but over the past couple of years they have really gone up alot, so I hope you got a good price!!

  4. Depends on what you like to do. If you take a taxi, take a red license plate taxi, I even take a picture of the license plate, going to Drs Cave beach would be a nice beach day, inexpensive day, or sunset beach resort is also an inexpensive all inclusive day resort.

  5. I was just looking at transfer service from Falmouth to Montego Bay, that is where Drs Cave Beach is. For adults, it was 20.00 pp in a nice air conditioned bus type thing. Less for kids. Anyway, you might want to look at their website. Again, I have not used them, but saw on here where some people have.

Hope this helps, and by all means, ask away in any section of this site and 99% of the people are very kind and helpful. Don't let that 1% of the rudeness of others back you away :)

  9. HI all,

Is there a transport or shuttle to go from Falmouth port to Drs Cave with roundtrip service?

How much would a taxi (red plate) charge?

Would rather go with other ppl instead of just the 2 of us, any advice is appreciated. Oh, and how long would it take to get there say one way?

  11. Hi all!

I haven't been on RCCL since my very 1st cruise. Going next month on Serenade and Navigator in May. I keep reading about ppl making reservations for the shows. Is this highly suggested or is it likely we won't need reservations. I looked on their website but couldn't find anything about making reservations for the shows.

Please help, taking my daughter for her 1st time on RCCL and want to show her a great time.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate all the info and kind responses over the years!

    Kelly
