  1. We are doing Crown end of month through March 3. Would you mind letting us know what you think? Really interested if new beds are in the suites. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy.

I do not know if Crown suites have the new beds but I did read a few reviews about a month ago that said the beds were very, very nice. I will be sailing in a suite for btb cruises Feb. 18 and 23, I will try to remember to report back, although they could vary from suite to suite. I have never had a complaint about the mini or full suite bed so maybe they change them out more often? I sure hope they are in good shape!

    Happy Cruising!

  2. So the Crown has Club Class? I thought that was not until April 2018? Were you in a suite? Wondering if new beds. Got mixed answers, some say unsure and others no

Just giving my thoughts....I thought all the ships had club class now? Maybe not. Crown does. I believe I read somewhere that beds will all be updated at next drydock. I bet the full suites have wonderful beds already.

  3. No Jackets Required on Crown on our 12/21 departure last month.

Personally, while I feel it's a PITA to schlep the jackets to muster drill, it's a wrong-headed move to not require passengers to at least make the attempt to don their lifejackets prior to an actual emergency situation as part of the muster drill.

Boarding the Crown next month so hope you still can leave them in your cabin. That said, I intend to put them on in my cabin to make sure they are in working order.

  4. Not sure how all the comments ended. We use our Princess CC ALL the time. We have always received a credit to our card when redeming our points. You can use the credits applied to the card as a way to reduce a payment or apply to your purchases. It doesn't matter to us how they want to apply the credit it all gets used up anyway. A couple months a go they noticed they didn't give us double princess points for a cruise purchase. They found the mistake and corrected it immediately.

I can't say enough about their card, our credits have paid for 2 cruises in full in a year.

Same here. Never had an issue. We better count our blessings! If I had the problems the posters on this thread had, I would get rid of the card too!

  5. Which dining room is the Club Class section located on Sapphire Princess? We have just booked for September. We loved Club Class on Crown Princess this year. Done anytime you want. Quiet tables, get to know your waiters etc

I can't help you but you may be able to help me! I'm sailing Crown in Feb. Can you tell me which dining room is club class on Crown? :D

  6. mamaboss,

Something I just found out from my Princess cruise vacation planner. Since I'm sailing alone in a full suite, I'll get (3) credits!!

That puts me just (1) sailing away from Elite.

    Ciao

Lol! Yes that is also an excellent perk when traveling in a suite you get an extra credit.

  7. I am also curious about entering the terminal. Last year we went to the same place we always do for elite, suites and no one was in line. There were 2 very long lines and I ask someone in line if they knew where elite line was and they said right here!

Wow! My mom is in a wheelchair so we did end up in a shorter line but that was a first for us. I don't mind waiting in a line but prefer not to do it in heat, lol.

You will love the suite life. Do not miss breakfast in Sabatinis. Fantastic! (Or whatever venue on your ship if Sabatinis is gone) There is a PDF you can download and print with all the Perks of a suite if you haven't already seen it.

    Happy sailing!

  8. I love the Conquest, she’s my favorite ship by far. I’ve sailed three times on her, once on Freedom and once on Valor (Conquest sister ships) and I like the size vs amount of people. It just seems like a nice balance. Now that they have a Serenity area, I may never sail a different ship again, lol!

I am new to Carnival line. You mention Valor is a sister to Conquest. Do this class have any cabins with a refridgerator?

  9. The various listings of suite benefits on the Princess website do not always agree. (Aren't we all surprised at that?)

Full-Suite Benefits (PDF) llists "Complimentary specialty dining dinner on embarkation evening." with the note "Available on cruises 6 days or longer." However, it lists the "Complimentary mini-bar set-up on embarkation day" (which includes some bottled water) but does NOT list complimentary daily bottled water.

The Princess Suite Experience on the website lists "Complimentary Specialty Dining Dinner on embarkation day.". Note that this webpage does not list the restriction to cruises 6 days or longer. It also does not list the complimentary daily bottled water.

Under Carribbean Princess Cruise Ship, the listing under Accommodations - Suite after clicking on "Show Stateroom Features" includes "One complimentary mini-bar setup and free daily bottled water" with the note "On ships where Club Class Mini-Suites have rolled out." and "Complimentary dinner in a specialty restaurant on embarkation day." with the note "Applicable on cruises six days or longer." I have not checked the website under other ships to see if they say the same thing.

I recommend printing out more than one list from the website as needed to document all of the benefits you plan to use. It's a lot easier to get them to honor benefits if you have the printout.

I didn't get the complimentary bottled water on my last cruise in a suite. However I did not ask for it and I always had bottled water sitting on my counter. I had booked under Sip & Sail, so it was no trouble to pick up bottled water from a bar on my way back to the suite.

Thank you Navy. I took another look at pdf and I see the specialty dinner listed. Won't be able to take advantage because cruise is 5 days. I also saw a perk I never saw before, "private photo sitting with photographer". Do you know what that consists of?

  10. I have been in a suite 3 times in the last 5 years and never had any free water. On the Crown in Feb. I will ask for it and see what happens. I didn't see it listed on the pdf I printed out. I don't see embark evening specialty dining on pdf either. Is that still a perk?

  11. and again, I learned something new on CC - never been in a suite, yet, but now know to ask about the shower/tub combo, as that is one reason why we don't book a mini, but rather have a deluxe balc.

The penthouse suites on Riviera deck have lovely bathrooms. Very roomy separate shower. Shower and bath tub are separated from commode and sink.

Olney: I didn't even think to check utube! I did look. Excellent video. I hope the balcony furniture is different because in that video it only shows 2 chairs and metal table like a regular balcony cabin. :( Thank you again!

  12. Just took an upsell to L106 on the Crown and not finding too much info on this suite. Curious as to how balcony is set up and what it looks like. From what I gather from description it doesn't have a walk in shower like the other suites. Hope I'm wrong. I have only been in penthouse suites. TIA for any info I can get.

  13. Feb. 18 Crown Princess, upsell from mini mid-forward to lido forward full premium suite. 329.00 each and 2 free deluxe balcony breakfasts. Why the breakfast when you already have excellent breakfast in Sabatini I don't have a clue. Not sure about this location but I always wondered what it was like completely forward so guess I'll find out. This upsell is 30.00 more than we paid in the past I believe. My xmas present to myself, lol.
