Just returned from ex of the seas. We were told at the casino by the man giving away prizes (he kind of looks like Clark Kent ) that next month they are getting 95 new machines that will no longer give quarters back. Finally paper tickets!!! Casino royale is always great fun. ;)
SO glad to hear that!!

They didn't in April....
Thanks. In my opinion the port and shopping book isn't worth buying unless it comes with two for one drinks.

We are sailing on Explorer 7/21/11. Last October when we sailed on Oasis you could buy the port and shopping guide and you could get a sticker on your sea pass card and with that sticker you could get the drink of the day, buy one get one free, no limit. Does anyone know if Explorer offers this?

Personally, I prefer decks six, seven or eight. They are closest to Central Park, the Promenade and the entertainment place.

Neither does Celebrity (Under Royal Caribbean).
$1,199 is the threshold amount for reporting of slot (and wagers paying over 300:1 odds) winnings in the US.... and Carnival.
One has to wonder WHY Carnival feels the need to supply this information when it is obviously not required of them. Is there some "backroom" deal between CCL and the IRS?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

Well said Tom.

It has been my experience that Carnival will give you a 1099G for a big win, can't remember how much. And you have to give them your SS# and other information before they pay you. Royal Caribbean does not issue one.

Oasis and Allure have the biggest casinos at sea that I have seem. Much bigger than any other ship.
