I have had a few parties in my cabin and balcony (used a cord to keep the door open) but for only 10 people.
For 2 birthday cruises we used the area above the lido deck to have a party. We just had some of the people hold tables for us. For both we had 30 people. From home we brought tablecloths, cups, plates, napkins, table decorations, plastic utensils, bags of chips, cheese curls, Fritos, cheese and crackers and candy. We ordered the cakes and sandwich trays, fruit trays from the ship ( they let you choose the day and time for delivery). We asked our room steward for a cart to carry the cake & trays (they are very heavy). The rest of the stuff we put in suitcases and rolled them to our spot. We each had brought a 12 pack of sodas on the ship and about 6 cabins ordered 2 bottles of liquor each. We even brought speakers to hook up to our phones so we could have music. Everyone had a wonderful time!!!!

I love the Journey Cruises and have been on 3. My next one is scheduled for 1/6/19 on the Pride.

Really enjoying your review!! The Pride is my favorite Carnival ship. I don't think it is too wordy😀

Hey M! Always glad to have you along for the ride! What week were you on the Dream? She was with us our second week at Mahogany Bay. Mr. Sancho's is our go to place in Cozumel. Always have a great time there!
I was on the Dream 10/22 - 29 for the $100,000.00 Slot Tournament. The tournament was fun but I didn't make it pass the second round. I won this cruise on the Pride in June.

Hi Jeff & Patti,
I am really enjoying your review and Patti's pictures. I am in awe of you all doing a B2B2B. I met you in February on the Pride Journey Cruise. My group was booked on the Magic for the week of 9/6 - 13 but had to cancel because of the hurricane.
I just did a cruise on the Dream and in Cozumel went to Mr. Sancho's for the first time. We had a ball.
Looking forward to the rest of your review!!!

There were 4 of us traveling to N.O. for a cruise. I had planned everything for our trip but forgot to get a shuttle service until 2 days before our departure. I used a travel website to find one and came upon the reviews for Kerry’s New Orleans Transportation Service and decided to call. I am so happy I did. Kerry was wonderful!!! He was so polite and helpful. We needed a shuttle from the airport to a hotel, the next morning we needed to be picked up at the hotel and taken to the Port of New Orleans and then the same thing when we returned from the cruise. He assured me he would personally pick us up at the airport and even though our flight was almost an hour late he was there waiting for us. He loaded our luggage and we were on our way. He wanted to know if we needed to go anywhere else or did we want to do any sightseeing because he would customize a special trip for us. Unfortunately since we were leaving the next day sightseeing was out but we will definitely keep his information for the next time. Mr. Kerry was prompt and so helpful for each leg of our trip!! Please if you need a great shuttle service use his company you will not be disappointed!!! He even texted to see if we got home safely!!

He will. That’s my biggest obstacle at this point. Any suggestions?

One of my friends just booked a Vegas trip as a surprise for her husband. She called his supervisor to ask for leave for him. She even packed for both of them and hid the suitcases.

I love, love, love your reviews and study and use them when I need help for what to do in a port. I hate to say this but I would delete the older ones.

No they don't but my cousin had a veggie burger from Guy's and said it was really delicious.

Beautiful picture!!!! Will be on it 10/22/17!!!!

You made the best of a very stressful situation. So glad your home had a little damage. My yearly family & friends cruise was scheduled to be on the Magic 9/9. We had to cancel because of the evacuation of the hotels & shuttle. My group is praying for all the people involved in the hurricanes🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.

Enjoying your review. The Pride is my favorite ship. I am sailing along with you (in my mind) since Hurricane Irma messed up my Magic cruise this week. My group had to cancel since our hotel and shuttle closed.

My last cruise, June 6, 2017 I did the same thing. I called the 1-800 number they connected me to the lost & found department. I completed a form on line and my IPad was mailed back to me (my expense) in two weeks. Hope yours will be sent back to you!!

It doesn't "bother" me, as I explained in an earlier post, in the sense that I am not afraid of attending by myself, or speaking to total strangers. My husband could happily go to the casino. It isn't a logistical "big deal;" perhaps that's why you are reading to much into my question. I have zero issue with not going to the party, or going if he is "feeling" the casino, taking a nap etc.
What I do take issue with is on a much broader societal level, concerning common manners. I am not traveling with my mom, best friend, cousin etc; I am traveling with my husband. He is my partner in life. Social convention is (or perhaps "was" as our society continually seems to devalue marriage) that is is "rude" to hold a party and attempt to invite only one party to a marriage. It is acceptable to invite a single person, alone, without adding "and guest;" I do not feel that the same is true for married persons. You can invite Miss Smith to your wedding, and not add "and guest," but you shouldn't invite Mrs. Smith and intentionally leave off Mr. Smith - it is rude. To quote Miss Manners - even in those circumstances where the spouse is repugnant:
"Common to all social occasions is the question of whether half a couple may be invited. Considering that we no longer know what makes a couple, this is a tricky problem.Marriage is a sure qualifier, which is why those gold-diggers and freeloaders who forced their way into the family get to accompany the blood relatives. So, now, is para-marriage. People who are living together in romantic partnership must also be treated as a social unit."
I believe John Heald and others on here inherently recognize that belief. If you do not, then we will simply have to disagree.
My goodness this is just too much!!! The invitation has nothing to do with being married or not or traveling with your spouse or not. It is about whether you are Platinium or diamond!!!!
-
The bottom line is since your husband is not Platinium he is not invited to the party. I know you want to bring him with you but you shouldn't.

I'm supposed to be sailing out of Port Canaveral on the 9th. I'll be bummed if we don't get to but I'm trying not to worry about it since I can't control the weather. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope for the best!
I am on this sailing praying also🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I didn't win for the survey but won the free cruise that is given away in the casino at 11:30 pm on the last night of the cruise. I will be on the Dream for the 10/22/17 cruise. I had to sign a tax form which will be mailed to me after I take the cruise.

I love the lobster rolls and can’t wait to buy a few on my October 23, 2021 cruise on the Magic. My last cruise was December 2019.
