I love the Buffalo, Quick Hit and Cats penny slots. I win some and I lose some but I just love it!!! I did really well on my cruise in February I had to be hand payed twice😀

Following I am doing this cruise in December the week before Christmas.

I enjoyed your review thanks for taking the time to write it. I was on the Vista in December for an 11 day Journey cruise and enjoyed it. You are so right about there being so much to do & see on this ship. I didn't get to do half of the things Inwanted to do so I now have a reason to sail her again😉

I have been on 3 Journey Cruises and love them. I think they are worth the money in fact I am booked for this same cruise in 2019. I like the fact that it Ieaves and returns to Baltimore therefore no airfare and hotel needed since I live about 30 minutes from the Port.

Enjoyed your review. I will be on the ship in December and can't wait to go to same of my favorite islands.

You will love doing a land trip to Aruba. I have stayed a week there three times and can't wait to go back!!!

Hey Karry! Yes, one of our goals is to cruise every ship. We'll be trying 4 new ships for us in the next two years. We plan on being back on the Pride again sometime in 2019. :D

I just booked the Pride for a Journey cruise 1/6 -1/20/19. Congratulations to you & Patti for having cruises booked for the next 2 years. I will be on the Pride in June, the Magic in September and the Fascination in December. Hope to get to cruise with you all again.

I really enjoyed your review. Great job!!! I have been doing a family and friends cruise every year since 2002. This year we are on the Magic going to the same places your cruise went on. I can't wait. Oh I forgot to say what a beautiful family you have.

You're not confused, it was a confusing situation. Carnival had offered the day pass to the Plaza Beach Resort as one of their excursions. I waited too long and that tour had sold out. Mind you, that this was months before the cruise. I went online to Shoreexcursioneer dot com, and they had the same shore excursion, but when I tried to book it, I couldn't because I was on a Carnival ship. There must have been a conflict of interest thing there. They knew because there was a drop down box that asked what ship you were on. If I had known better I would have lied. :D Anyway, next time if I can't book it in advance, I will just go there, as walk ups don't seem to be a problem.

Walk ups were not a problem. We took a cab to the resort and the cost was $2.50 per person (each way) and the cost to use the resort was $15.00 per person which included the entry fee, use of a chair or lounger, use of the beach and pool and 1 drink. It was well worth it. People from the ship who had paid for the Carnival excursion paid $40.00 per person and only got to spend 3 or 4 hrs. there.

Don't know if Ms. Fun Bunch will be posting again, but I would venture a guess that she was referring to the Plaza Beach Resort. I had tried to book an all inclusive day pass there, but I had waited too long and got shut out. :mad:

Jeff you are right the name of the beach resort was the Plaza Beach Resort. My group really loved it there, in fact we have been discussing going back there for a land vacation.

I forgot to tell you I did really well in the casino this cruise. I only play the slots but I won two hand pay jackpots and had several hits for $200 - $600 so this time I came home with money:D

It was great meeting you and Patti at the Bay Harbor Hotel. I really liked the hotel especially the restaurant. The food was really good and the staff was friendly.

My group of 8 loved this cruise in fact we think it was one of the best we have ever been on. We went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel, in Costa Rica didn't plan anything but hired a cab driver who took us on a great tour. He stopped at several places to let us taste fruit, chocolate, corn on the cob, he showed us the different flowers and plants and took us to an area to see the monkeys and sloths in the trees. We also went on a boat ride through the rain forest. The Panama Canal was amazing. In Aruba we went to Moomba Beach, Bonaire we went to a resort with a pool& beach with great snorkeling. In St. Maarten we went to a restaurant we fell in love with when we stayed there 2 years ago.

I was on the 11 day cruise before you and enjoyed the Vista but I tripped several times on the steel strip in that doorway. I can't wait for the rest of your review and your opinion on Norwegian.

Thanks for your review!!!!! I was on this cruise also and agree with all of your comments. There were 3 of us in a deluxe oceanview cabin and I was shocked at the lack of storage. I thought the food was really bland in the main dining room (Reflections) out of the 10 days we ate dinner only 2 nights were really good. We couldn't get reservations in the Steak House either but the casino gifted me the Cucina del Capitano for 5 of us and it was so delicious!!! I definitely have to sail the Vista again!!
