Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Many of the iconic restaurants, like HoJo, are gone. Vesuvius has caused a lot of destruction over the years, especially Pompeii. What's strange music to me might not be to others. Good quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and wine ($$$). I haven't been to Salvador de Bahia. I grew up using the Book of Common Prayer in the Episcopal Church, but didn't know the back story. We had thunderstorms last night. Now it's really humid, with more thunderstorms today. Finally having a day at home, I am going to try to unearth my dining room table from all the "stuff" that's piled on it. Also do laundry. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll ride the wind in a plane. I like daffodils. No one here today to hug. Interesting quote. I had something similar to the meal while in Germany; there are a lot of Middle-Eastern people and restaurants there. Maybe on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Qaqortoq. It's cloudy here today and 76F. Possible thunderstorms later. I'm just back from PT. I finally am getting some relief from all my bites, using a cortisone cream and calamine lotion. Big goings on here as there's an active shooter incident, involving someone who was being served with an eviction notice by sheriffs (a squatter). He's shot down 2 drones that the police sent up. Lots of shots fired (over 100), but fortunately no one hurt so far. Lots of swat teams on scene and hostage negotiators. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. 3 good days. I like the quote but would change that to coffee for me. I like the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Halibut Point. An important day in history. It's going to be less humid today, with a high of 81F. Yesterday BFF and I ate at a local restaurant, where about 10 days ago the owner was beaten in the parking lot after closing up. He was found the next morning by an employee going to open the kitchen. So awful, but thankfully he's been upgraded from critical to stable. Otherwise I'm still battling terrible itching from all the mosquito bites, especially on my legs. I will go to PT a bit later. Hoodie Hoo Day is a day that is celebrated every year on February 20th or August 22nd (southern hemisphere). It is a day designed to help people overcome the winter-time blues and to prepare them for the coming of Spring. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Although I love ice cream, I don't like spumoni (although I tried it when I was a kid, so maybe I should try it again). I guess I fall into Senior Citizen's day. I'll salute poets, although I'm not a big poetry fan. True quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Santa Catalina Island. I remember using adding machines in days gone by. It's more humid today, and going up to 90F later. BFF wants to go out to eat this afternoon; he's been cleaning his house for days, as he's having company from Germany this weekend (same person we stayed with there, and his friend) who will stay 3 weeks. Well, the mosquitos had a feast yesterday while I was working in the shrubs. I have 7 itchy bites on my legs (through my compression stockings!) and 5 on my arms (I put repellent on my arms). I was worried about sleeping through the night from the itchiness, but I did. I put some hydrocortisone cream on so we'll see if that helps. @Denise T Best of luck today! @0106 Thanks for the recipes. Good afternoon. I am finally done working outside. I started too late (10:30) and about an hour after I began, the sun started creeping into the area where I was working. I did as much as I could stand, then started coming in for breaks to drink and cool down. I just got finished after a long afternoon break. And apropos of mosquito day, I have a big red bite area right by where I wear my watch. I probably got that during yesterday's yardwork, even though I had put repellant on (I didn't take my watch off to spray and didn't want to get stuff on it, so that was likely an unprotected spot). The local county health department had a post today on social media saying that mosquitos kill more people than any other animal on the planet. Lovely. Good morning. Thanks for the FR/Daily @richwmn. Honey bees are important for our ecology, and I hope they're making a comeback. More people are bee keeping too; I brought back a jar of honey from my friend in Germany. I mainly listen to the radio in the car, but will put it on through Alexa while cleaning. Mosquitos like me too much; and I worry since ones carrying West Nile have been found around here. Deep quote. I like the meal, maybe on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Bonaire. An important day in history. It's 67F and sunny right now after a start at 58F, but going to be getting more humid, plus there's an air quality alert. Yesterday I managed to get all the front shrubs trimmed. I had felt better in the morning after taking Ibuprofen, so decided to go for it. But as I was working, I had to sit frequently due to my back hurting. I thought maybe I couldn't finish, but I did. I took an extra dose of NSAID and made it through. Today I may tackle the back shrubs, but it's much less work. I hope all in the path of storms or wildfires stay safe! @kazu I'm glad you and Ivan had a good visit yesterday. @StLouisCruisers Good news that you're feeling better today. I love potatoes, but they are ridiculously expensive right now. I won't buy loose baking potatoes at $3.49/lb. We should all strive to be humanitarians, even if in a small way. I don't think it will be too hot today. I'd like to do some yardwork, but my back is hurting me today, after having been better for the past 4 days. I visited St. Thomas on my first ever cruise, on Princess, which was to celebrate my 50th birthday. Thanks to all who posted photos. After thunderstorms last night, it's a lovely 72F day here, although windy. We're going down to 53 overnight! But then it will heat up again. I was up and out early today for a haircut. Then I had PT this afternoon, followed by a stop in the grocery store. Just settling down for a snack and to read the Daily. I'd thought about some yard work, but it's too late in the day. We're also battling the Spotted Lantern Flies here; we're supposed to kill any we see, as they damage crops, plants and trees. @Mr. Boston Happy Birthday! @kazu Your flowers are lovely. I got 8 hours of sleep last night! It was injection day yesterday, but due to having to go to PT I didn't want to take the Benadryl in the morning and be so sleepy in the afternoon. Then I forgot to take it in the afternoon and took it at 9PM. I couldn't stay awake past 10:30. I'd like to do some shrub trimming maybe. I'm sore from PT, but maybe the yard work would help. Sadly the death toll in the house explosion here is up to 6. The hospitalized man has died. He was the homeowner. He, along with 4 others, were in the basement where there was a gas water heater with issues. His wife was upstairs. It's unknown if something with the water heater was the cause of the explosion and subsequent fire. The gas company has been out there daily, digging in some neighboring yards and testing gas lines. @StLouisCruisers Enjoy St. Anthony. Lenda, I'm glad to hear that DH got a good report from the surgeon. If you have the UPS app, you can release packages that require a signature, and they will leave them. With my RA med, even though they say no signature, when I get the email notification of an impending delivery it often says signature required. So I just use the app to release it. I have the FedEx app too, but I haven't had anything that required a signature so I'm not sure if you can do the same thing. @grapau27 Lovely photos of you and Pauline.

I love rollercoasters and live near Kennywood Park, which has 2 wooden rollercoasters, the Thunderbolt which will be 100 years old next year, and the Jack Rabbit which is 103 years old. I haven't ridden any in a few years. Funny quote. I'll pass on the meal, pass on the drink, and yes for the wine. I haven't been to Akureyri. Today in history led to the gold rush. It's cloudy, humid and 72F here (78 for the high), with chances of rain. I felt I had to get the lawn mowed, so fortified with ibuprofen beforehand, out I went. The grass was long and I needed the extra battery. It sprinkled a few times, but nothing much. I was really sweating, and my hair was soaking wet. I'm now cooling off. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. I'll salute Acadian culture. Maybe I can relax later. Best friends are to be cherished. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I have been to Hubbard Glacier on my one and only trip to Alaska in 2009. An important day in history. The rain is gone for now and it's sunny out. There's a chance of spotty showers, but only 30%. I really need to get the lawn mowed. Maybe later today when the sun is down some. I'm just back from PT. I could hardly get around this morning. I got up early, but as soon as I tried to walk, my back was in pain. I got back in bed and tried to do some stretches. Finally I took 600mg of Ibuprofen and then let the hot shower run on my back for about 15 minutes. I think that helped, but I don't want to take medication a lot. My PT guy showed me another back stretch. And my shiatsu massage cushion with heat should arrive today. @grapau27 Lovely gardens. @Crazy For Cats Congrats on booking another cruise! @smitty34877 Wonderful news that Lou is improving and may get to go home soon.
