I prefer fresh too, but I'll get them from a place close to the ship and eat right away. Hence wrapped in foil.

Weather will be PERFECT! The only problem is the first (maybe second) day will be cold heading South and the same coming home, i.e., last day or two might be cold coming home. But while your in port, it will be AWESOME! Also a little more choppier coming home.

Out of 20 cruises, we've won 1 and been upgraded once. That's about it, lol! I never believed in the fairy!

The balcony for our sailing was always at about 2500 for two and above. That's why we opted for the Promenade view, also being that we just got back from our May cruise. For us, the price we paid for the Royal Up bid was a steal!

We went back and forth on this. We lucked out, after a few calls, we convinced one of the Royal Reps to let us pay for one Deluxe package and one Coffee Card!

Long Beach hands down if the price is right! If it's a lot more, then stick to LAX. Long Beach airport is small and check in is quick, awesome place to fly out of! We use LGB when flying to Florida or NY. Terminal for Royal is San Pedro, close to both airports. Carnival is out of Long Beach Terminal.

Our cruise is 10/14, placed a bid on 9/1 and updated it on 9/16. On 9/26 it was accepted.

This is the letter that Royal Up sent me: Dear Cheap Bast***, Your cruise is on Oct 14, I noticed that you put in the LOWEST bid on Sept 1, how dare you! You then modified and added a few more bucks on Sept 16, still cheap! But because you've been loyal to me in the past, on Sept 26, I accepted your bid, even though you're a cheap bama! Royal UP Hope this helps!
