  1. It’s nice to hear an honest review of them. That helps a lot, thanks.
  2. We are also looking at Premium Economy seats for a flight to Madrid in October 2023. If you go to seatmaps.com you can select the airline and airplane you are considering and it will give you all the info on that flight. It will show you the seat configuration (like 2-4-2 or 3-3-3 etc), the seat width, seat recline, and seat pitch (distance from seat in front of you). It’s helped me immensely in narrowing down my selection of flights I’m interested in.

  4. We did the same ship and itinerary a couple weeks ago. We did our specialty dining on the first day of the cruise and then on the last sea day. We didn’t want to make any reservations on port days because we were afraid we’d be too tired to enjoy it. But if you’re looking to book on a port day Cabo would be best since it’s a short stop and you leave mid afternoon.
  5. I just watched the video and wow I’m impressed. I never knew train rides could be so luxurious. Thanks for all of the info it helps a lot. We’ve definitely decided on flying to Madrid then taking a train to Barcelona. It looks like a lot of fun and a much better choice than flying.
  6. Our favorite place to go to on the Panorama was the Shake Spot. I think they were open till 10 pm but I’m not 100% sure on that. My favorite was the chocolate caramel shake. My husbands was the strawberry creamsicle. They are very very good and worth the $$$.
  7. What I meant was that I couldn’t book a nonstop from the US (which is usually out of MIA or JFK) to Barcelona in a Premium Economy seat which was my first choice. And yes I was going to individual websites to try and book those flights. On Kayak I saw some connecting flights that weren’t nonstop with Premium Economy that I’m considering. I did see the Comfort + on Delta but wasn’t sure it was worth all the extra money for a few inches of legroom. The seat isn’t any wider and it doesn’t recline anymore than normal seats either. I’m thinking the Premium Economy seats that are wider and recline up to 7-9 inches instead of the standard 3 would be worth the extra money. But I wasn’t aware of the 2-3-2 configuration on the Comfort+. That is definitely a selling point for me since it’s just the 2 of us and we wouldn’t have anybody else sitting with us. There’s so many choices it’s exhausting. Thanks for the info it helps a lot.
  8. On the Panorama last month the cabin steward wouldn’t allow us to stay even though we had a suite. He said the cabin still needed to be cleaned. But maybe that wasn’t normal since we don’t normally do suites. Im just going by my personal experience recently.
  9. The kids bottomless bubbles is $6.95 and adults is $9.95 per day. It doesn’t include Shirley Temples.
  10. You can access your cabin early but only to drop off your bags. They will still be cleaning cabins. Our cabin stewards have always asked us what time we preferred to have our room cleaned, morning or evening. Suite guests may get more choices I'm not sure. Be sure to link your accounts together so you’ll be together when making reservations.
  11. Everyone in the cabin with you can board at the same time.
  12. Is there a sight I can go to that compares all of the train options? I’m not sure where to start. We want one that has comfy seats with windows so we can see the views but nothing too exorbitantly expensive. Which one would you recommend?
  13. On the Mardi Gras a couple months ago the app wouldn’t let us reserve a table until after 7:45pm because we had assigned seating in the MDR. So we decided to personally go to Chibang to get in line for a table. There was a long line and we were told to use the app to get in line virtually. I told the woman our situation and she said it was only through the app during busy dinner time hours and we would have to come back later. So we went to Emeril’s which was first come first serve and had one of the best cruise ship meals ever. They’re not free but they’re super cheap. Huge appetizers and shareable desserts were only $4. Several dinners were only $5. It became our favorite Carnival restaurant by a large margin.
  14. Our cruise leaves Barcelona on 10/23/23 and arrives in Orlando on 11/6/23. We are not set on exact dates but we’re looking at arriving several days before the cruise to do a little sightseeing. I’ve been mostly looking at leaving on 10/19/23 which has me arriving on 10/20/23 which gives us 3 days to enjoy the sights before our cruise.
  15. I’ve been using skyscanner and kayak to compare multiple sites. We are now thinking about flying into Madrid and doing a little sightseeing then taking a train from there into Barcelona. It’s only about 2 1/2 to 3 hours via train and I hear the view is gorgeous.
  16. Okay now that makes a lot more sense thanks.
  17. There’s definitely a miscommunication somewhere. There’s no way the earliest boarding time is 1:30. Maybe she was thinking of latest boarding time. But those Carnival reps are notorious for giving out bad info and not knowing what they’re talking about. They need to give them more training.
  18. On the Mardi Gras the invitation said we could go to any bar or restaurant for a free cocktail of our choice and then there was a free glass of wine at the party. I actually liked it that way because I’m not crazy about the watered down drinks at the past guest party. And many of them aren’t something I’d normally order. So we sipped on the free glass of wine then were able to order a nice drink of our choice for dinner.
  19. We sailed out of Long Beach a couple of weeks ago on the Panorama. We are Platinum so we were able to check in at 16 days out instead of 14. We got the 10:00-10:30 arrival time slot which is the earliest. We arrived at 10:00 am and at 11:00 am sharp they started the boarding process. We were in Cucina Del Capitano by 11:15. The ship sets sail at 4:00 pm so there’s no way boarding wouldn’t start until 1:30 pm. If you’re doing the Panorama I think there was a miscommunication or misunderstanding of some sort because there’s no way they would board that late. In fact, all of my cruises have started boarding at 11:00 and the ship sets sail at 4:00. It’s Carnival’s standard operating procedure.
  20. I’ll definitely be checking out that website. There are several options to choose from so this will be a lot of help. Thanks for the info.
  21. So if we flew into Madrid could we take the train over to Barcelona? Is it a long train ride? Or expensive?
