    Good Saturday Everyone!

    Welcome to Fall, we are very tired of the very hot Summer we had (whining) but still have some 80's coming up. The trees are changing so it is getting pretty around town.

    They are saying rain today, which we really need but currently it is partly sunny and 70F, so we will see.

     

    @cruising sister, thank you for the update on Baby Murphy. Very sad results on her CT scan indeed. Prayers for the family, not much else I can say at this time. Comfort and peace be with any decisions they make. How is the planning for the GV going? I am a bit overwhelmed but bit by bit I think it will come together, we still have some time.

     

    We have a family friend who is an Ovarian cancer survivor, very blessed to still have her in our lives. She just found out she will become a Grandmother for the first time so we are all ecstatic! This Teal Talk day means alot to us. We have been on walks to supoport research etc.

     

    Today is the 35th anniversary of my DF death; he died young of liver Cancer. Went to the cemetary to 'see' him. 💔

     

    Hamburger hotdish absolutely reminds me of my childhood; goulash, tater tot hotdish and spider hotdish to name a few. Yum! I make them still, mostly in the Winter. My mom was a very cook good and taught all us kids how to cook so we do well with cooking. IMO it is a good thing to teach children that lifeskill.

     

    Safe travels and lots of fun to all who are currenting sailing and those who have upcoming cruises. The list of people traveling/cruising is impressive! Lucky ducks....😊

     

    Prayers for all of us and special prayers for those who could use a bit more; you are in our hearts.

    Celebrate your life everyone, we are the lucky ones.

    I know NCL doesn't, when I cruised Celebrity and RCL a few years ago they didn't.

    I also have taken a EU river cruise that didn't.

    I am thinking it is the Carnival products that have the limit.

    If you are buying the drinks, then you can buy as many as you want at a time.

    So does that mean if a person has the BP and meets the 15 drink criteria they can then buy drinks? With the BP including water, coffee and soda pop they all add up to the limit. 

    Does anyone have experience with this? 😊

    Remember many pages back I was sharing about a coworker and his/her resumes saying they are "taking a career break"?  Well here is a little update.  They are still working here until the end of October and they BOTH have already applied for unemployment benefits!

     

    This just seems so wrong to me on so many levels.  They have chosen a lifestyle of traveling and season work.  They can continue to work all winter anyplace they want but no let the government support them.  She is 33 and he is 36.  

     

    There have been some "issues" with both of them here and the manager told me today he just doesn't want to deal with her at this point as we are so close to the end of the contract.

     

    We are returning here next summer and one of the issues was if "they" were to return the situation would need to be resolved before we would agree to return.  The manager told me that they have not asked to come back and nor is he encouraging it.......he has seen the light.  I just wish he would speak to them about the errors.  

     

    She makes all kinds of mistakes in the office, not charging folks right.  He can't escort guests and get them into their sites and asks if they can be moved to another site, which is an upgrade, that we can't charge the guest for because he can't do his job properly, so the facility eats the upgrade $$$.

     

    Today the manager was talking to me about a situation and he told me he just doesn't want to deal with her anymore.  This couple is in for a RUDE awakening when they have to work a place that is not as easy going as they are here.  Not my probelm, I only have to deal with her 2 days a week and she doesn't even speak to me, she dashes out the door when I arrive for work!

    When I was doing contract work I could only collect umenployment if, at the end of the contract, they had nothing to offer me.

    When I was done, I applied for unemployment; the employer said I voluntarily quit which was not true, so I contested it with some information that they were going to call me with another postion option. They had nothing to offer me.I was paid the unemployment. If they quit the positions they cannot collect unemployment; I live in MN and am not sure if it varies from state to state.

    He doesn't have to offer her the same position from what I understand, just something. It may not be at the same level.

    Seem like scammers.....pathetic.

    Hope so, but maybe the opossum died because of the throw. Probably the circle of life type thing.

    It  can be pretty bad when you walk into a newly bought home and the previous owners crap is still there. It can be nasty stuff, happened to my sister.

    Good Saturday to everyone,

     

    @smitty34877, very sad news for you and your family. Prayers and peace be with DH, you and your family during this difficult time. 

    @marshhawk, Happy, happy anniversary! Great ideas for special anniversary gifts to each other. 

     

    No comments needed on the weather here because we are getting a nice Fall week here, now how long that will last IDK. OK, that's my only weather comment.

     

    I am terrible at Sudoko so don't even attempt it any more.

    Sometimes I think I am a weirdo but the wonderful part may be debated..lol.🙂

    Not a quinoa fan, I tried to like it but it just wasn't there for me.

    I do not remember ever having a teddy bear, we had dolls we cuddled when we were young. I also had a stuffed kitty which sat cutely on my daily made bed.

    I have been to all of the towns listed today, on a Med cruise. Beautiful and historic places. The wonderful pictures bring back good memories. Thanks to those who posted them.

    My thanks to all of the contributors here, big and small, informative, funny and just because things. All are welcomed.

    I wish safe and fun travels to all who are traveling; travel is why we are all here and what we have in common mostly.

    @rafinmd hope you will recover soon; take it easy on yourself to help healing.

    Prayers for all of us; special and blessed prayers especially for baby Murphy and Lou.🙏

     

    Celebrate all joys in your life they are well deserved.
