We will be doing a B2B on the Allure in Octobr/November. The Western stops at Labadee; the Eastern at Coco Cay, as of today. Both offer snorkeling boat excursions. Is either worthwhile for a beginner/ Which is better?
Thanks
-
We have moved up to one for the March 20 cruise for about $200 from a veranda. Please tell me what I am gaining.
Thank you
-
You always could, to one in the same category.
-
We were in Aqua and had a reserved table in the main dining room since our friends were not in Aqua.
On all the cruises I have been on, early dining was the hardest to get. It sounds like yu want that time; make sure it is reserved early.
-
I believe that the Edge is in port during that time
-
Why is she coming in to Miami right now?
-
I just checked a web site that shows all available cabins for the Aug 17 cruise. It shows large areas of the ship where all cabins for two are available, but he adjoining ones for 4 are not. I doubt that most of those are sold. Celebrity is likely holding them for larger groups.
If you are a member of Captains Club, I would call them for help. If not, email lLutoff-Perlo@celebritycruises.com. That is the President's office. Someone from there will call you and straighten this up within a week or so.
-
Yo0u can ask, the day before, for something that is not on the menu. I've had vegetarian (not vegan) baked onion soup on many Celebrity cruises.
-
We have been on the Allure 4 weeks. The only lines were for formal pictures and possibly getting into the dining room the first night.
We were on the Equinox on a 10 day cruise, sitting at the next table from a little girl of 5 or 6. She loved the kids club (even though there were not many kids) and fought to stay when her parents fetched her.
-
I've never seen the elevators stopped. However, there is crew urging you to use the stairs if you can.
Do get there early.

Thanks for the reassurance about our cruise. I always appreciate the input from seasoned HAL cruisers! :D
This is our present itinerary. Two of our port calls are probably going to change, and possibly more if Maria causes a lot of damage.

We would not be upset if we had a different itinerary. We love being on a cruise. This will only be our second on HAL and we are very happy to be on HAL again. I will give my TA a call tomorrow and see if he has heard anything from HAL.
We are on that cruise, too. Do join our rollcall (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=24818540. I am hoping they add Curacao and Bonaire. I suspect that they were optimistic about announcing a change this week, considering the path of Maria.

OK, I have already discovered that this HAL class does not have a mini-bar in the cabin. Not a big deal, but I think I may miss it. Always liked to store my late night snacks along with milk in the fridge.
Last time I was on the Amsterdam, we ordered a fridge for the cabin for a small fee. Check that out.
-
The chances of making the flight also assume that there are seats available on the early flight. These days, that is not guaranteed.
-
We always use bookparkngo.com
They are very good and take luggage out of your car when you leave, put it back when you return and drop you right by the porters. They also give you a bottle of water each going home.

We ate in Q-sine on the Silhouette last month. The server went over the menu and showed us which dishes were veg and which could be made veg. We had more than enough to choose from and gave up before we got to the last thing we had chosen -- we were full.
-
Not on the Silhouette last month (for 2 weeks), You do know that formal nights have been replaced by Gala nights that require only a collared shirt for men -- no jacket or tie required?
-
I got off the Silhouette today. There were a great variety of desserts at Cafe Baccio; they seemed better than earlier cruises. I found the fresh squeezed OJ in the Elite lounge fine.
-
I generally prefer Celebrity. But for Alaska, I chose HAL -- itinerary more important than ship for Alaska. We have done the 14-day HAL cruise twice, once on the Amsterdam and once on the Maasdam. We enjoyed them both very much.
-
In the past, you could ask at the front desk and they would deliver it to your cabin each morning. I'll see what happens in 3 weeks on the Silhouette.
-
I find "itinerary lookup" on cruisecal dot com is quite accurate. This part of the site is free; everything else requires a paid subscriptions.

My recollection was that my first Celebrity cruise in 2008 they had a varied vegetarian menu. Soon thereafter they stopped and it was just one or sometimes two items on the main menu designated as vegetarian.
I am very cited about this! When did the separate vegetarian menu return?
My list was from a late 2012 cruise.
-

I would see if yo can book a Southwest flight to Orlando (or evenTampa) on Saturday and book a refundable hotel anywhere between airport and port. Southwest allows you to use the money on another flight if you cancel for a year. They have a 9:30 am non-stop fromManchesterr to Orlando, but it very expensive and many onestops to each (still expensive.
