yes, usually 7-9, maybe later on sea days.
Open for lunch on sea days

At dinner in the Windjammer, they made wonderful crepes with you choice of filling every night.

The problem you MAY face is that they didn't finish the refurb on time. Most of the time that this happens, some facilities may not be open at the beginning of the cruise. More rarely, the first cruise is delayed or cancelled.
-
I believe that the Summit cruise is the last one before dry dock. I would avoid that because often, they start closing facilities in preparation for dry dock.

When is your cruise...?
Currently the ships time is the same as Miami
Often, the ship moves its clock to island time; it is up to the Captain. On all of my Celebrity cruises, they have done that, except when we were in Newfoundland for a day and their clocks were off by half an hour.
-
I don't know if the PVSA is waived for St. Thomas also. If it is not, you would not be allowed to board until the ship reached a foreign port.
This is a very large problem for Alaska cruises out of Seattle.

Royal doesn't usually have 2 ships in Miami at the same time. Their normal terminal is the western most one. All the terminal are in a row (one ship close behind the others). If they get the next terminal, it is easily walkable.

On the Allure (first half of a b2b), the screw that that connects the ear piece to the glasses broke in half. Since Capt. Johhny had said that if you need anything, call my number, my dw did. Within 15 minutes, the lady who is in charge of the shops came to our cabin with a screw driver set. But, we had one of those and that wouldn't dislodge the bottom half of the screw. She than said, I know someone who can fix this; check in the jewelry shop in an hour or so. She took the glasses, and sure enough, they were fixed.

We took our fourth b2b out of Fort Lauderdale last month on the Serenade (a total of 21 days). We met a 10:00 in the back of the theater, were walked off to a waiting room on the upper lev el. Someone came from Customs and Immigration, walked down the aisle, glancing at our passports and then someone from the ship gave us our new cards and we went right back on. The only wait was when we were seated in the theater; they didn't move us until everyone else was off. We had a very nice lunch that day in the MDR.
On our Allure b2b, they had a meeting where you could make reservations for shows and specialty restaurants at any time you wanted.
On the Independence, we met in a dining room and Customs came on board and cleared us.
There are other arrangements for those who want to visit the port, but they do not have to go through check-in.
We have always done the same cabin and different itineraries. Yes, the menus are the same and the production shows are the same. But usually, several of the other entertainers are different.

I would like to see them do Hawaii, round trip from San Diego. We did the 15-night cruise a few years ago and would like it better if it were 17-18 days with more time in Hawaii.

Terminal 18 is used every third Monday and Friday by the Serenade and the Celebrity Equinox.
They usually have a ship embark and debark from the same terminal in consideration of those who leave their cars at the port.

Also, if you are flying, that 30" will cost you extra.
-
Also, Port Everglades has a website
https://pevvesseltraffic.broward.org/webclient/public/publicmovements.aspx
that lists the docking location for all ships a week in advance.
-
I have always printed both, but have never been asked for the 2nd.

See RCCL brochure at

There is a special needs phone number near the end.

I would be worried about weather in upstate NY in March. Snow is not unusual even in April. I would be sure to be in New York City the day before the cruise.
-
All indoor areas have A/C, including restaurants, the Promenade, and hallways. However, some of the restaurants also have outdoor seating.

For the opposite point of view, see the thread Indy Sept 13-20 which is now near the top of the page.

Thanks. I won't try it.

We will be arriving in Seattle on the Maasdam on a Monday (with no other ships in port).
-
A report from the Freedom said they went Western instead of planned Eastern, but had a wonderful time and perfect weather.
As long as you're flexible, go for it.

We paid $180 pp. to add Explore4 to our 14-day Alaska cruise next summer. I expect to break even.

You need to pack everything but your hanging clothes. The room stewards will then move your stuff to the new cabins. It is a good idea to talk to both your first and second steward in advance.
Most of the time, you will meet in a lounge on turnaround day and be escorted through immigrations and, after what is usually a short wait, be escorted back on before the new passengers. However, on our Indy cruise a few years ago, there were so many of us b2b's that immigration met us in the dining room.
You may have the same dining table and not the same wait staff (they get moved around).
