I have been on a NCL ship on Super Sunday and the game was shown. They may not show NFL games normally but they may just make an exception. Probably will be in a specific venue like a bar. I would not expect to see it in your cabin.

Was on Epic for Super Bowl. Waited to long to find “a spot” . Ended up watching it in our cabin!

Just off the Regal in the Baltic, YES WE HAD PICKLEBALL. The equipment isn't the best, but neither are 90% of the players. The set up a second net, makeshift-type at best, so they could have two games going on at a time, and maybe 8-10 waiting to get on. If you think you need you own paddle bring it, but I wouldn't demand it. They have paddles and balls.

    How about shuffle board?

Apple iMessage only needs “wifi” in able to work not an internet connection.  Being logged onto the ships “intranet” is sufficient.  It will only work apple to apple, not apple to android or other.

Can u tell me what settings my iPad & phone should be on? Not very good with them....

The Princess cards are a new offer in the AARP Rewards for Good program.  The price for the gift cards is at a 10% discount ... but the actual price is a combination of dollars and AARP Rewards for Good points that one earns by taking quizzes on that site.  For instance, 5000 earned points plus $450 yields a $500 Princess giftcard.

A couple of years ago, I took enough quizzes to buy enough Carnival cards, at a 10% discount, to entirely pay for a 14-night Carnival cruise for 2 people in a full suite.

So, with Princess cards now offered, this thread reminded me to check how many points I still had available to spend.   I was pleasantly shocked to see that I had over 30,000 points ... enough to get $3000 in Princess gift cards for $2700!

The deal is legit ... as long as you are willing to spend time on quizzes to spend less money for the cards.

Thank you, OP, for this thread.

Just checked my points, hoping to do a few quizzes and add to the points I have and then order Princess Gift cards. As of July 15 one can no longer earn more points, however you can still redeem points until September. At that time they will have a new program. So if you want to use your points now is the time!

What would happen if you used gc’s to pay for your cruise & had to cancel your cruise? I would assume before final payment it would be refunded with a GC ? If after final payment & u had to file an insurance claim I assume they would send a check?

No more barrel chairs in standard balcony cabins and below, fleet-wide. Deal-breaker for us. We're trying HAL for our TA next April.

We upgraded to a balcony deluxe because of the chair. More $$ of course.

We booked a cruise in October using the 3 for free promo using our FTC deposit of $200. Last week we switched to the sip & sail promo. Just received our new info and it's not showing $200!  Does this seem right???

I am waiting for our TA to call....

    All is good! TA error!

We have cruised in those cabins and there is a warning that windy conditions may exist while underway, but your doors remain unlocked.  It does get very windy out there, but the solid front of the ship diverts the wind upwards, so you can actually have a nice nap on the lounger.  You may also have to keep your curtain closed at night and no lights on the balcony.   These are my second favorite cabins, after the aft cabins.

About the aft cabins...r they covered at all ? Soot?

On our upcoming cruise on the Regal we will be aft Premium Deluxe Balcony on the Riviera deck and it is a large balcony and looking forward to it. We have been previously on the bump out section on the Regal Deluxe Balcony on the Dolphin Deck . My opinion would be to try to select a Mini in the bump outs but I don't think I would want to be located on the Marina Deck under the SeaView or SeaWalk platforms.

Is there any cover on the aft premium deluxe balconys?

Mini suites have tub and showers.  It's all one.

Mini suites are awesome.  And you can get larger balconies on the Royal Class, you just have to pick the ones that are larger based on the ship design.  There are a few on each side that extend out.  Not necessarily huge, but larger and more comfortable than the typical Royal class balcony.

That 2nd tv and living room adds to the overall feel of the room as well. Plus on the royal class, the tv's are on the wall, and the 2nd is by the window, so you can watch from the balcony while you get some sun.

Just seems like, imo, the benefits outweigh the cons.

Especially if you're Club Class, so you're mid ship, prime real estate, to avoid noise and vibrations.

Which minis have a larger balcony?

by "better" do you mean "better odds the policy will transfer if you do it that way ... i.e., transfer the same cruise deposit vs cancel and rebook?

@camper49, could you follow-up with what you learn ?

I will. TA is looking into it...
