We were on her last cruise before her vacation- she was wonderful! On one of the last sea days there was a program in the Equinox theater with her and a couple other officers. It was interesting and funny! 

OP here. I did schedule on the first day once onboard. Class was fun- I made a vase. I picked it up the next day-

They wrap in paper and put in bag- I asked about a box but it was huge. I stuffed vase with socks- wrapped back in paper and then wrapped clothes around and put in middle of checked bag. I arrived in one piece. 

I don’t know if I’d do again but it was fun 

Have a long time until August 15, 2020 Apex cruise. Cruise starts in Barcelona and ends in Rome. 

What are the pros and cons of Choice Air? How do the fares compare? 

Yes, we know to fly in a couple days prior! I know fares aren’t available for a long time but I like to plan..,,

The 2020 schedule came out today. I have a couple holds. The one I am interested in is August 15 Apex sailing. I attacked the itinerary below (hopefully). My question is are all the ports ones where 10 hours (average port time) is enough to get touring done? 

I have an aft balcony on hold. 

I liked my personal cruise planner for our previous cruise. We purchased the cruise certificates onboard to book a 2020 Mediterranean cruise when schedule come so out. 

I emailed him today asking questions- knowing it’s a holiday week for many. I then looked back and realize I have several unanswered emails from our recent cruise. He is listed on certificate as consultant.

Can I ask for a different person?

What ships have the actual connecting door in the wall like hotels? We are planning a Mediterranean cruise in 2020. I’ve recently read that certain X ships have those types of cabins. Which ones are they? I want to avoid when booking. Also are they clearly marked ?

We were on this cruise also in Aqua Class. I will say the Pool bar staff was horrendous! Rude and unfriendly- went several times and never polite. I understand they are busy but the behavior we experienced horrible. Made comment to Assistant Bar Manager ( of entire ship)  day 3- nothing changed. At various bars handed wrong seapass cards - charged for drinks we didn’t order at Sunset bar (charge reversed). We had classic beverage package. By far Gastro Pub bartenders the best - best drinks and always happy! 

Shows- Rondell Sheridan was fantastic! Did one production show Topper- horrible. Magician was cheesy- previous Equinox cruise had great magician, Uptown was great on final night. Know entertainment views are subjective!

Captain Kate was great - went to her Q&A the final day and it was funny and informative! Did a free tour the second or third day on the behind the scenes kitchen (just saw listed in daily). Very interesting! 

I did blown glass class- agree you don’t do much hands on but it was fun! Pool hogs yes out daily! Did see a couple of times the pool attendants remove stuff but we go early and sit for a bit and leave. We had no issues mid afternoon finding chairs in Solarium.

Blu (Aqua Class restaurant) food was good. Ocean view was good also. Overall a wonderful cruise! 

I know my bank can charge a fee for using the ATM. Does anyone know how much the ATM fee on the ship charges ? 

I’m on Equinox on November 5. I got move up email 2 weeks ago. Submitted offer and haven’t heard anything except the received my offer. It states they let you know 2 days before at latest. I’m not holding my breath on a move up- fun trying though!

Sone excursions are cash payment - booked on our own. I was trying not to carry lots of cash while we travel to Miami.

Does Celebrity cash US travelers checks onboard?

I've seen the complaints about Celebrity customer service. I just spent 50 minutes on the phone with a fantastic CSR who was fixing issues on my account. He went above and beyond what I expected. I was especially surprised since I know Celebrity updated the server this weekend. He got everything fixed expect one issue when I click 'manage my reservation' I get the error THE INFORMATION ENTERED DOES NOT MATCH OUR RECORDS VERIFY INFORMATION ENTERED IS CORRECT AND TRY AGAIN.

He made changes and said to give it a couple days and then if I still get to call him back and he would do an IT ticket. Everything is ok on reservation except that error message. He was great so there are good CSR people at Celebrity- he was actually based in Kansas.

I’ll update when I hear anything. Cruise is November 5. We are very happy with our Aqua Class cabin. I’m not holding my breath on any move up but I can dream !

We got the email offer yesterday about Move up bid. I did place a bid.

How long does it normally take to hear- I know they can take up until departure day.

I would not count on it. I only half believe anyone on the phone telling me anything that would be relevant to being on the ship. I would expect they would hold spots for those who prepaid. But I would want to choose my time.

I finally called Celebrity

I was told a time would be assigned when I was onboard

I signed up online for this via the Celebrity website. I paid but there was no place for to sign up for a time. Has anyone done this- how were you assigned a time.

We are in port November 9. Right now it looks like 6 of us from our roll call are doing the Virgin Kayak tour. Jill the owner emailed a list of taxi recommendations for transportation to and from Salt River Marina. One on her list was $30pp so $60 per couple. I found CPC Taxi online and he quoted $20 pp round trip. I know Jill would give a person she knew well and was reliable. Does anybody know anything about CPC Taxi?

Any other recommendations? Is cost inline with what it should be.

I seriously would like some tips on how to be better prepared to get through quickly at security....:o

I can say my son who is 21 and I went to Disney last August and this August. Last year 45 minutes in line - family in front was clueless and we ended up with their McDonald's food in our tub.

This year maybe 20 minutes.

My advice listen to the TSA agents. Be prepared to take off shoes, remember to remove things from pockets,etc. Stupid me put ID in my pocket and after I went through scanner I was patted down and hands checked with some security thing. That was my own stupid fault

Thing is you could walk up to security and walk through! Just have fun!!!

MCO security lines are horrible! Think families with children who don't travel often. People who don't know how to go through security. Just a warning!

Any first hand experience? I read reviews on TripAdvisor.

MCO is full of families who have been to Disney also. These are tired families with kids and inexperienced travelers. This can cause frustrating experiences at security. Slow lines. Last year we ended up with some persons McDonald's in our TSA box where you put belongings to go through screening.

Allow plenty of time no matter what time of day

Cruising on the Equinox from November 5-16. When I look at shore excursions not through Celebrity I keep seeing to make sure of time change possibility (that ship time may be different than local time especially in November through March). I posted in my roll call but nobody really sure.

Has anyone cruised Celebrity in the Caribbean in November? Is ship time different than island time?

We are going to St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. Johns Antigua, Bridgetown Barbados, Castries St Lucia and Phillipsburg St Maarten.
