You can use the FCC to pay for the October 2024 cruise. Prices dropped on our two May/June 2023 Alaskan cruises (back to back) after the final payment. I requested FCCs for the price drops, and they were applied to our NCL accounts at the completion of the Alaskan cruises. Then I applied them all (4 FCCs) to our existing Nov 2023 Viva Transatlantic cruise before the final payment. FCC is Future Cruise Credit and you can use it to apply as payment to existing and future cruises. P.S. @RocketMan275 beat me to it, he is also correct.

The FCC will be applied to your NCL account on completion of your October 2023 cruise, and it will still be valid to be applied to your October 2024 cruise.

Access to the bridge viewing is on deck 11 forward port side - don’t go there during docking or leaving port as the blinds will be closed.

I don't know if you have looked under the bed, there is plenty of space to slide luggage in under bed to store. Also, it's easy for you to slide the bed over to wall. Enjoy the rest of the cruise on NCL Jewel!

If you want to, move the left end table and push the bed left against the wall, then you’ll have double end tables and more floor space at right.

Make sure the rainwear is at top of your packing list!!!

Jade. Better ship than Star. Star and sister ship Dawn are our least fave ships of the NCL fleet …. no forward Observation Lounge (aka Spinnaker). But … Star goes to Greenland on the way, Jade doesn’t. That is the deciding point.

Hey! Greg is a NCL newbie, so no Platinum dining vouchers, and he is on the Jewel, not on Encore or any other mega ships that has more dining venues than the Jewel class ships. Anyway, I would NOT want to cruise Alaska on any mega ships. Greg chose wisely to cruise Alaska on the Jewel (next fave ship is the Spirit).

Nope, not really unless you’re a large party. The MDR is large enough for you to walk in.

Another thing, don’t worry about the prices on the menus as you’re entitled to one appetizer, one entree ( with 2 sides) and one dessert. If you want an appetizer and a soup/salad it’s okay, they might give you a blind eye or not. Sorry, NCL doesn’t do that anymore.

@Saint Greg please listen to me, you do have 3 (three) specialty dining, according to your cruise card! The dining reservation desk in the Atrium have the menus of all specialty restaurants on display for you to see. They do not change like the MDR (Main Dining Room) do daily. The 3 specialty dining “vouchers” that you have can be used in the following restaurants: Le Bistro, Cagney’s, Teppanyaki, Sushi, La Cucina. Look at the menus at the reservation desk and decide.

Go to the Internet Manager when he/she's in - they should be able to tweak your iPhone to get the App working correctly and place an icon on your screen so you can access to it easily. That truly helped us when we did not get the App to work properly on the first day aboard the ship. I also have an iPad, and he was able to get the iPad working and I was able to switch between the two without issues.

We like to pass $1 (or $2) to bartender when handing over our card when getting drinks.

Have you been down to Deck 6 mid-ship? That's where the "Bar Central" is. 3 bars there. Two of them opens at noon, but the casino (next door) bar is open now (since 9 am, when the casino opens).

We’ve been on all NCL ships except Sky and Prima, and also the new Viva. We chose to bypass Prima to go on the Viva for our Transatlantic in Nov. Each ship has its pros and cons, but we will still cruise any ship if the itinerary is good!
