  1. Nice to know it's Bigelow in Concierge, too. We've been on AQ on our last several sailings, and I do like the products. We couldn't pass up a great deal on a Sunset Concierge cabin for our upcoming cruise, so I've been wondering, too. Thanks!
  2. Thank you! I just sent an email. I played around on the site a bit, too, hoping the info might be there. I'll post the info when someone answers.
  3. We have an overnight in June in La Spezia on Celebrity. Does anyone know how late the port shuttles back to the ship run?
  4. I just used several AARP gift card to pay the balance on my upcoming cruise. Easy. I don't think that these can be used for on board purchases, nor do I need them to be - so I haven't looked into that. However, to save 10% off my cruise fare on our upcoming Med cruise it was a no brainer. I've referred others to this as well, and they've had no problem using them to pay their cruise balances.
  5. I used some on RCCL a couple months ago, too. Celebrity's process is much easier to have them applied.
  6. It's definitely on my list to watch before we go. My preference is absolutely Procida for the day; just planning for the "what if??" Thanks!!
  7. We used them for final payment. We had paid the deposit for this one while on board the last one. Before final payment was due I purchased the cards and called Celebrity to apply them. Easy!
  8. I just used several AARP gift cards to pay for our upcoming Equinox cruise (I reluctantly joined AARP for this sole reason, LOL). It was super easy and saved, pardon the pun, a boatload of money.
  9. Thanks. Good point on the weather. I guess I was just thinking of the situation where the weather isn't too bad, but the ferry might be pretty choppy for a pleasant ride 🙂 I figure we'll just wander around beautiful Positano and have a nice lunch somewhere. Probably not the best Plan B.
  10. We will be on the Equinox in June, and our current plan is to get right on a ferry to Procida for the day. We've been to Naples a few times and want to see something different. I do want to have a Plan B, however, in case there are weather issues that may prevent the ferries from running [timely]. My preference would be to spend the day in Positano. Looking for the best way to get there. I'm assuming that if I can't, for some reason, get a ferry to Procida, the ferry to Positano won't be an option either. It's also a long ferry ride. It looks like a train/bus combination is doable. Any other options? The best would be if there are taxis at the port willing to take us there 🙂
  11. I did a cooking class in Rome a few years ago that was fantastic! It was through Cooking Classes in Rome - I'd do it again in a heart beat! We also did a really good foodie tour (we do them in most of the places we visit, and this one was among the best). For that we did Food Tours of Rome - it was an evening tour - so much fun. I've googled both and they both are still in business. Enjoy!!
  12. That's a great idea! However, we have very good friends who will be on a land trip at the same time, and they have their day long private excursion in CT on the first day, so we are planning on meeting up with them during the day. Otherwise, that definitely would have been worth considering.
  13. Thank you for the quick reply. I had looked on the Trenitalia site at the various options. I also figure that once we get back to the station in La Spezia that we will need to walk back as I'm thinking that taxis may not want to do such a short trip. I'm fine with the walk - I prefer it - I'm just thinking of a back up in case the train is delayed. We will go early in the morning; I just want to be able to maximize time there to make it worth while.
  14. On day two of an overnight in LaSpezia in June we are heading to Lucca. We are fine to take the trains, but the times for the return trip are not great. We would have to leave Lucca on a 3:30 train to get back by 5:07 and then a 30 minute walk back to the ship. While our ship doesn't leave until 7:00, it still seems to be cutting it a bit close. We could leave on an earlier train, but it doesn't seem to give us a decent about of time there. Can anyone suggest a company/driver to take us back?
  15. We have an overnight in LaSpezia in June and plan on doing Cinque Terre on day 1. We'll take a train to the furthest village, and meander our way back via train/boat or walking to visit the villages along the way. I'd love to have dinner off the ship that day and would love some recommendations not too far from the port, if possible.
  16. If we do walk-off on Celebrity at 7:00 a.m., is a 10:40 flight out of BCN doable? It looks like the airport is fairly close - less than 30 minutes. (we flew in there once, but it was years ago and I just don't recall the distance between the port and airport.) I'm thinking that it's cutting it too close - just evaluating options.
  17. We just got off the ship yesterday. We were able to resolve our dining issue by seeing the Maitre 'D the first day. The 5:15 - albeit early - worked fine for the first and fourth nights. We did a specialty restaurant on the third. It was the second night that was the issue. Mamma Mia was at 3:30 p.m., and there was no way to make a 5:15 table. We don't like doing a buffet for dinner, so we were able to do the MTD for that night after the show, per my conversation with the Maitre' D, so everything worked out. Luckily they put us in for a reservation for that night as the line for "no reservations" was pretty long.
  18. I read that we can get swim vests for our little ones on board at the H2O zone and that they cannot be taken off the ship. Are they also available at Coco Cay?
  19. There's really no need for an excursion. Take a taxi to a local beach. We went to Radio Beach and had a fabulous day. We got a taxi outside the port and the driver gave us a bit of a tour as we drove to the beach.
  20. I know we can walk off first thing, but what I'd love to know if we can just walk off later than that w/o having to turn in the luggage the night before? Even 8:00 - 8:30 would be better with the little ones.
  21. New to Royal - do they do the self disembarkation by groups? We usually walk right off on Celebrity at 7:00. For this one, with a four & five year old, I don't necessarily want to have to get the up and out so quickly. Any tips?
  22. Thanks. We'll see what they want. Hopefully they will be able to order off the regular menu, as well. Happy to pay the kids' price for it, too.
  23. We will be taking the grands, 4 & 5, to Giovanni's for dinner one night. At their age, they are free, but I read that they must order from a kids' menu. I have searched and can't seem to find a sample menu. Would it also be possible for us to pay the kids' price ($12.99 for kids 6-12) so they can order off the regular menu? Thanks!
