Wife is currently sailing solo on Adventure OTS from Galveston. 5-nighter that departed on Friday 11/26 and returns tomorrow (Wed 12/6). She said the passenger count was 1,760.

Hi Cruiselvr04,
We were also on the cruise with you, and agree 100% with your review & comments. We're like-minded with respect to covid protocols, and felt pretty safe but we were annoyed with those who felt that rules don't apply to them. We enjoyed the forward sundeck on Deck 13, very few people up there and a huge amount of open space.

Sailing date: October 30, 2022 (westbound Transatlantic)
Date you were moved: 11/11/2021

Wonder cabin category: 2J Central Park view Balcony Deck 10

On Adventure right now, and we didn't have temperature checks at the port (Galveston) or onboard either.

Here's another: Adventure of the Seas is supposed to sail tomorrow (Monday 11/8) from Galveston, we hope to be boarding!
But it hasn't been on the CDC list for months as it was sailing out of Nassau Bahamas. I assumed (incorrectly) that it would be appearing on the CDC list since it was sailing from the US after the drydock.
I'm relieved to find out it isn't the only ship not showing!

Are other people still waiting?
Yes, we were booked on the Allure October 2022 transatlantic, and we're also waiting for an update on the Wonder reassignment.

Literally yesterday was sent an email from RCCL that check-in for 12/12/21 Liberty of the Seas was open. First available time was 12 noon. By my calculations this is exactly 45 days.

Anyone on the Nov. 8 cruise receive anything definite about cancellation? We are booked on the Nov. 12 cruise and are just wondering.
We are/were booked on Nov 8 and Nov 12, but haven't received an email on the Nov 8 sailing. But Nov 8 shows as Cancelled on our My Cruises?
After getting cancelled on 10/29 and 11/3, really hoping Adventure is back in revenue service very soon! Onboard Independence now & Loyalty Ambassador mentioned something about test sailing, which I hadn't thought about before.

are they offering the later November 2021 sailings to her? That really stinks. We are on the 11/12 sailing.
Yes, but she was already booked 11/26 so instead took Liberty 12/5 7-nighter. She asked for a forward -facing OV cabin on Deck 9, and after a long phone call was able to switch with a $26 port charges add'l payment.

Wife had planned on a solo 5-nighter on Adventure on 11/3/21 out of Galveston in an aft balcony, but just received a cancellation email from RCCL. (She was also booked on the 10/29 cruise which was also cancelled a few weeks ago.) Same reason about dry dock inspection.
Now she's on the phone with Royal trying to rebook to another 2021 Galveston sailing. Letter says she's price protected even in a 7-night Liberty OTS but unsure what cabin will be available. Also worried that she'll lose the additional 2x points promo... We'll see.

Original trip: Eastbound TA orig Allure sail date of 24 APR 2022
Date moved: 28 Sept 2021
Allure category: Central Park View Balcony
Wonder category: Central Park View Balcony
Are you happy or disappointed? We were reassigned to the same stateroom number on Wonder, but unfortunately configuration changed from a non-connecting cabin to a connecting cabin. Just called the C&A D+ desk and the 1st agent moved us to an open non-connecting CP View balcony on Deck 12. I specifically questioned him to confirm this cabin change would not change the fare and he said correct. We were shocked when the updated confirmation hit our e-mail because the cruise fare more than doubled!!! I immediately called back to get this corrected. After speaking to a different agent and a brief hold for supervisor, the 2nd agent came back and said not to worry, the pricing will be corrected in a few days so be patient.

You can request chilled soup appetizer from your head waiter and they will prepare it for the next dinner.
We had strawberry bisque aboard Freedom in August.

Yes, they are Lavazza espresso machines that only use specific provides Lavazza capsules.
It made a good cup of espresso.

We have friends onboard Adventure right now. They are in the last sailing before it goes into drydock. I think the cruise ends tomorrow Sept 18.
-
I think someone said you can get refund or get rebooked, no FCC option.
-
We didn't receive a cancellation email either. Not the first time, happened with Vision 1-3-22 cancellation as well. Anyone know how to fix this?
-
We were on Freedom of the Seas August 23 and asked the Head Waiter about the chilled fruit soups (such a strawberry bisque, or banana soup). She said they were no longer available on the regular menu (at least 3- & 4-night sailings), but she put in a special request and we each had strawberry bisque the next night.

We've also just had a minor issue with FCC for cancelled 1/3/22 Vision sailing... Got email for one FCC in my name only? We called because the amount seemed really low. They said the other didn't have a name assigned. They also forgot to include the 25% piece on each, so within 45minutes we ended up with 4 FCCs in total!

FWIW... We were just off Freedom last week with 2 stops at Coco Cay, and due to wind the balloon never lifted off either Tuesday or Thursday.

Also available on Freedom last month, but only night one.
On Freedom now (4-nighter) and we used D+ BOGO in Chops on night 2; we went up on embarkation day after lunch and booked with Maitre'd. They didn't have any Ribeye available. But a lovely meal just the same.👍👍

California passed prop 12 in 2018 and takes effect 1/1/22. Called the pig law and they are now expecting a 50% reduction in pork products as farmers have failed to expand the living space for pigs. $10 a pound bacon at Costco not far away. Pig farmers have been trying to negotiate with Newsom but failed.
Here's another point of view. I don't see where Gov Newsom is responsible at all.

Taking Food off Ship

Don't take food off the ship. This rule exists for a very good reason.
