Has anyone had a TA tell you that a paid Lift & Shift booking is ineligible for a price drop? I was surprised to hear this and am awaiting a call back from a manager to hear the explanation.

We stayed in 7510 on Ovation in 2019 for B2B2B (38 days).  This was forward most cabin on Deck 7. The partial obstruction is the large circular opening in hull superstructure itself. The balcony was slightly more "enclosed" feeling but wonderful otherwise.

Thanks also to the OP for the suggestion to price check. We were able to get $450 in reductions spread across half of our future bookings

Last week 8/2, I scheduled my drive thru self swab Monday 8:00AM, had my results by 10:00PM same day!

Some of the people posting are ridiculous and nasty. I'm up to 41 "ignored users" now.  WOW 😣

According to a recent video, after initial receipt, the passport renewal applications are redistributed for processing without regard to applicant address. This would be consistent with what previous posts have said. 

I also was considering passport renewal by mail, however this is what is posted on the official website. Seems risky.

There is a free souvenir penny press machine on Ovation of the Seas, inside the entrance to American Icon restaurant. We were onboard in September and October 2019.

Ovation of the Seas M&M for 9-20-19 and 9-30-19 transpacific each raffled one bottle of house red wine and one bottle of chardonnay, along with logo ball caps, key chains, backpack.

Just to update... We had a mysterious intermittent annoying electronic / whistle noise for the past day, and called Guest Services last night. Soon enough, someone came up to check, and then referred us to Maintenance, who also came last night to check. The noise was coming from a forward bulkhead, which has crew cabins on the other side. Maintenance was able to eliminate the noise this afternoon, so we have a quiet cabin again! 👏Yeah!

We are in a Cat 2E obstructed view balcony right now on Ovation of the Seas, #7510. It is the forward -most balcony on Deck 7 starboard side. It is as you described as somewhat enclosed by the structure , but no lifeboat blocking the view. It has been very quiet for the most part.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – The room was very noisy with constant engine noise. We always check deck plans and location before booking, and this cabin should have been fine. Unfortunately, it was the loudest room we've had in 40 cruises in a variety of cabin types from bow to stern. The noise was from the engine room. Very odd since it was below the Aquarius Dining room on Deck 4, and above staterooms on Deck 2. In the future, we will make sure to avoid anything close to aft and this far down in the ship. This was classified either "midship" or barely "aft".

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Not applicable

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The cabin thermostat didn't seem to control temperature very well. Even if left untouched overnight, temperature would get warm and later get cold. We had the cabin for two long cruises back-to-back (29 days total), and ended up leaving the thermostat in the middle and living with the fluctuations.

 

Count me in as disappointed with the non-existent RCI dress code/ recommendations/ enforcement. 

Currently on Vision of the Seas, last night was 2nd formal night. At the table next to ours, some guy wore shorts and a t-shirt. His butt crack was visible as he got out of his chair. REALLY???

As a result, we're reconsidering our future cruise options in favor of a higher standard.

We also agree with the shout-out regarding the excellent Captain Marek Slaby and outstanding crew attitude on Vision of the Seas. Probably our favorite ship (followed closely by Capt. Liz on Jewel.)

Suggest you confirm that this "upsell" is eligible for double points upfront. Two years ago we took an upsell on Jewel TA from balcony to GS for $1000 and they denied us double points when we got home. My wife was successful talking with 2nd agent & supervisor for "one time exception" so all good in the end.

FYI... Just back from Vision of the Seas Feb 28 sailing out of Galveston and we had the new menus also. Bummed at no chilled soups :(

Just have to say this cabin had loud noise from crew maintenance outside deck above us EVERY MORNING AT 4:30AM. It sounded like a wrench banging on metal then hose filling up a water drum. :mad:

Currently onboard Liberty, during port day in Falmouth Jamaica the water slides were open from 1:30-6:00pm. The Flowrider was open 9:00am till 6:00pm.

The ship docked @ 8:00am and all aboard was 4:30pm.

Recent news report of attack pre-cruise. This can happen anywhere & anytime, so just be aware of your surroundings.

We've used Happy Limo and loved them! I can't remember the exact price but it was only about $20 more than the cruise transfer and we got to pick our pick up time and sit back and relax for the ride down.

Yesterday I got an e-mail quote from Happy Limo for one-way towncar transfer from MCO to PC, quoted $71 plus gratuity. When I made an online reservation today (referencing the quote), they raised the price to $121. I called and complained about the change, they admitted their mistake but refused to make any change to the new higher price, so I cancelled. Seems like bait-and-switch... we'll look elsewhere.

Just got back 5/31/12 off Carnival Triumph. Our stateroom was #8300, nice enough except it is located right below a Deck 9 pool deck outside utility/storage area used by ship staff. There was frequently noise from above that sounded like dragging metal things around on steel plate decking. Somewhat annoying if you were outside on the balcony, and could be heard inside the room. The noise seemed to be limited to 7:00am till maybe 10:00pm so didn't keep up awake.
