  1.

    Log onto Carnival.com

1 - Click on the red "Cruise Deals" at the top of the home page.

2 - Click on "Past Guest Offers" in the middle of the page.

3 - Click on the "VIEW YOUR OFFERS" icon on the left of the page.

Your offers should then pop up. Make sure you VIFP number is displayed. If not, fill it in and click "SUBMIT"

Thanks for the instructions. I just logged in but have no offers. It was worth a shot.

  2. The OP is talking about Miami and a cab from the port there is around $100 with tip. SAS cannot pick up at the Port of Miami.

To the OP, line up a shuttle service.

Maybe I wasn't initially clear, but YES I took SAS from the epic in POM to the gallery one in Fort Lauderdale. I referenced my cab fare from the hotel back to the airport the next day so the OP would have an idea of cab fare to/from FLL and hotel.

  3. This past November, I took SAS from POM expecting to grab a cab at FLL but the driver said he had a pick up near the gallery one so he just took me there from the FLL airport. I was at the hotel by 10:30am. Of course, there's no guarantee that'll happen for you.

It was about $25 for a cab from gallery one to FLL.

Great hotel location by the way. I loved sitting out at the pool at night watching the boats go by on the water.

  4. I have a rental car for my trip at the end of the month. Rental prices have really dropped in the couple months I've been looking (need to get from mia to hotel in fll). Maybe a car rental would be a better option. I'm dropping mine off right at port everglades (picking up at mia). Look on expedia for a quick comparison, then use rentalcodes.com for the direct discount codes.

  5. Are there any good shuttle services from port Everglades to Miami airport. It's just for 1 person so a private car would be too expensive. Has anyone used a rccl transfer? How much was it? Can I just book it when I get on board?

I used SAS as recommended on this board from POM to FLL and they were super.

    Thanks for the help!

  6. I recently got off the epic and had a great time. But I have a great time on all my cruises. The reason why I would not sail Norwegian again is because I was very disappointed in the service. The dining room was awful. I have never been on a cruise with consistently bad experiences in the dining room. Since I really enjoy this evening activity as part of my cruise experience, I will pick another line that has offered better service in the dining room.

The food was good in all the venues I tried (dining room, buffet, O'Sheehans). The dining room choices were not always plentiful, but I always found something. The buffet food was good, including the two dinners we ended up eating there because the dining room was so bad.

There were multiple deck parties and we loved spending the time outside dancing. I saw Blue Man and Legends and they were also fine.

I was on the Epic cruise when it listed in early December. It was scary for a moment and never happened again. They started announcements immediately on the intercom. The captain ever went on and on about it the next morning.

As long as you don't care about the service, you will enjoy the epic.

  7. I was on the epic cruise that listed. It was scary for a quick moment and then settled down almost as quickly as it started. By the time I got to the top deck for the White Hot party a few minutes after, they were already making announcements on the intercom that it was a one-time event.

There was movement on the ship the first couple days, especially leaving Miami. But I never got sick and no one else I saw and spent time with had any problems. I always have bonine with me just in case and I never needed it.

Don't worry. All ships have some movement. This one didn't have anything out of the ordinary.

  8. Another vote for SAS. I just used them 2 weeks ago when I got off epic at 8:45. Call them when you get outside with the terminal you're at and they'll come get you in a few minutes from their waiting area. It did take me a few calls for Steve to answer but he finally picked up on like the 4th call. $15/pp to FLL.

I took off my own suitcase.

  9. that was very nice.....what is the shuttle service that DOES go to the Doubletree gallery One?

I hope we can get a room facing the ocean....kids would enjoy that.....our reservation says city view though !!!!

Maybe ask for a room that won't get the street traffic noise. Try a tip if that doesn't work. It was really worth it. You won't want to get off the balcony.

  10. I just stayed here this weekend. Great property. Try to get a high room. I had a view of the intercoastal, port Everglades, and ocean. Staff were very friendly.

Back to your question, I lucked out and SAS driver took me directly here from POM instead of me transferring to a cab at the airport. I took a cab to FLL from hotel and paid $25 including tip. I appreciated that valet called a cab that they knew and "trusted".

  11. A few minutes after we boarded in Nassau the captain came on to talk about an incident 20 mins before. Apparently there was a brief power outage.

I also heard the captain say 45 but now I'm guessing he said 4 to 5.

Future epic cruisers, don't fear. The staff seemed to say that was the first time they felt that and I don't think they were covering up.

  12. I was in the Epic theater, Katy perry was not even on stage at that time, one of the band members was playing his guitar and had to kneel down, I was dead center towards the front going side to side. Claim it was a technical glitch, the tried to put out the stabilizers & it made it worse. The first day was really rough for my son (14) & myself. Thankfully my mom told me she had patches. We had a great time, plan to cruise again, but would try a different ship for a change.

Sounds like I must have heard a rumor that Katy was on. It was rocky right out of miami. Maybe from the storm...

  13. I was walking to white hot party in the very narrow studio hallway. The boat hadn't been rocky at all that day. Then all the sudden I was tossed into the wall and couldn't move since gravity pressed me against wall. This happened a few times against each wall and I was really worried since I was in an inside hall alone. Looking down the hall was interesting since the hall then appeared to be cockeyed. Once we stilled, a lot of ppl opened their cabin doors. No injuries in my area. Lots of crashing. Stewards whole cart tipped over. Ice buckets landed on beds and poor stewards had to change out bedding late into night. Katy perry never stopped singing, a cirque performer fell (didn't hear that he go hurt) and cirque went into intermission.

Captain was still talking about it the next day. It became the hot topic as people asked each other "where were you when it happened?"

  14. Does he accept US Dollars? Or do we need to exchange some Euros before we leave home? I know he takes credit cards. But I'm not sure I want to give him one.

I used a gift debit card with $50 on it. Maybe try that if you're hesitant to use your regular credit card. Yes, he takes US dollars. So did serafinas and the street vendors on the French side.

  15. I went on this great tour with mailman last year. My parents are traveling on allure in February before it's going in for emergency repairs. Has anyone from allure done this tour with the shortened allure eastern port times? Any issues with cutting the time too close? I am sure Bernard is aware and is adjusting for the shorter port day.

  16. I traveled solo on Carnival and had late seating. I was at a table with other solos and a few of us hung out at night after dinner and then in the afternoons when we ran into each other at the pool. Following advice on this board, I checked in with the maitre D when I first got on board and made sure I was at least at a big table. I was. He didn't have to make any changes. Enjoy!!!
