Has anyone confirmed the Encore actually stopped in Taino Bay, I read on another site, a person who was on the Encore said they did not stop there and the photo that was posted was a photo from a travel agency site.

Many people complain that even though they book 2 rooms at the same time, the people in the other cabin get completely different flights. I hear a lot of stories that grandma, who is older and can't travel alone and is in the cabin with younger grandchildren, they are given a different flight and the grandmother can not handle the young children. Something to think about. We always book connecting cabins, 1 for my husband and I and 1 for my adult children. I am able to book dining reservations for all of us but when I book excursions, I call. This ensures that we all have a space and don't get closed out. My son, who is in the other room has an NCL account, so I am able to look at it and make adjustments and payment on it and my kids use that account for charges, reservations, etc.

Well based on the post below yours, I was right and the reason I thought it would be delivered at night is because NCL makes so many changes everyday to itineraries, shows, etc, I doubt they are printed too soon.

On the day we are supposed to be at Puerta Plata, it is showing 1 Carnival Ship and 1 MSC ship. The MSC ship itinerary shows Puerta Plata/Amber Cove, can anyone speculate if the Escape will be able to dock at Amber Cove or will MSC have priority? Also, I have read conflicting reports as to whether Taino Bay is actually being dredged right now to accommodate the larger NCL ships, does anyone know if it is true and it is being dredged?

Is there a certain time a year that the odds are better you will be able to dock at GSC? Is summer better than winter if there are no hurricanes around?

My kids first cruise when they were younger showed up but they did not get double points on our Alaskan cruise last year like my husband and I did. This cruise that is planned for June shows double points for them but does not have the code LATREW. I was told not to worry about it because they have NCL account numbers. I am not too worried about it because unless we get really wowed on this cruise coming up, we won't be sailing with NCL too often, so I don't really care about a status with them

Are the escape balconies the same size as the encore?

THIS!!! You paid more to pick a room, if they are going to move you and pick your room for you then you should be refunded the difference that you paid to pick your own room!

I see this now too! I'm glad, we are sailing to the Caribbean this time and always like to have extra water on hand for excursions and beach days.

Not true. I sailed on the Encore to Alaska last year and the cost decreased by $1,250 after final payment. I had 2 cabins and all 4 of us received a FCC good for 1 year of $625. We are sailing this summer because of this credit on the Escape.

These codes are not discount codes you would apply yourself, they are internal codes NCL uses to describe what perks or discounts you have.

I don't really care about the change, once a day is enough for us as long as they leave enough towels but to increase the daily charges at the same time as introducing a service reduction is a real FU to all their customers.

I figured that is why it was not on their cruise last year and also why they did not get double points like my husband and I did, but they are 28 and 25 now so it should have been updated since last year's cruise.

Does anyone know why LATREW would not show up on my kids booking (they cruised with NCL twice) ? They are using their Lattitude number on the booking.

We were on the Encore in July and the food was average at best. There is nothing that stood out as being good, I want to order it again. The desserts were horrible. This was in all the free dining restaurants. We thought Cagney's and Teppanyaki were fantastic, can't wait to go back in June on the Escape and the American Diner was horrible.
