They should be able to assist you through the SkyConnect train and to the car rental center. I'd be prepared to tip well, especially if they wait in queue with you while you are getting your car.I don't know if assistance going from the rental center back to the terminal is available.

St. Thomas can be a tender port, depending on the day- there are only so many places to dock, and if there is no space, one to three ships may tender. HAL is usually pretty efficient in tendering. That being said, St. Thomas can get very, very busy with too many ships. I'd personally get ashore early, do what I wanted, and get back aboard by 1pm to avoid crowds.

I recommend routing from the FLL airport out 595 to 95 North to Broward Boulevard to SE 7th Avenue to the Riverside. It's a bit roundabout, but should avoid as much of the car traffic associated with the parade as possible.

If the OP's flight lands @ 5:30 and is on time or late, getting to the hotel any time before 7:00 on the parade night may, unfortunately, be unlikely, US1 will be a mess. and the Andrews and Third Avenue bridges will be worse. The SW 4th/7th bridge can also be a bit messy.

The parade's official start time is 6:30. At that point, attention will be focused on the river, not roads. I'd go from the airport to 595 to 95 north to broward boulevard east to SE 8th avenue and south to Las Olas at the time/date you're in town. Or stay elsewhere.

We were in that cabin several years ago for two weeks around Christmas. Noise was not an issue.

Taking a ship' excursion to the airport is an easily implemented solution to do something more exciting than sitting in the airport for a few hours (and a good use of excursion credit if you have some).

Assuming they have US passports, and/or are US citizens without a criminal background, there should be little delay. Most of the Port E terminals use facial recognition technology that's pretty efficient. The manual line is usually less than 5-10 minutes on a 3000 passenger ship. I'd take the ship's tour of Fort Lauderdale rather than go straight to the airport.

Not to mention a tripping hazard that would be amplified if the passageway were encumbered by smoke. Furthermore, in response to an emergency, there is no convenient place to get them out of the travel corridor (not that that extra task should be put on the crew, especially when in response mode.

HAL requires that you store and charge your mobility equipment in your cabin. Scooters narrower than 23 inches should fit through a regular cabin's doors. If your scooter is wider, you may have a significant issue. Scooters left in passageways and lobbies create a safety hazard. It's a bit over an hour from Port Canaveral to MCO once you are in a vehicle. A bag check line could easily be 45 minutes. MCO has notoriously slow security, due in part to lots of kids and other folks not familiar with airport security. Add 15 minutes to get from security to your gate via train.

Airtags aren't EPIRBs. They have no satellite capabilities. I believe the issue historically has been issues regarding signal clarity/interference with ships' systens.

The car rental companies do not offer shuttle services between MIA's car rental center and PortMiami. If you are using a commercial shuttle company, they usually pickup and drop off at the passenger terminals. Taxis and s like Uber may be available at the car rental center. You may find it advantageous to drop your luggage at either the cruise port or the main terminal prior to dropping off your car.

Park n Go may already be full (it serves both the airport and cruise port). Rodeway Inn on SR 84 may have space- they have coupons out there that will take some $ offf.

PBG is the airport code for Plattsburgh. New York. PBI is the code for West Palm Beach International Zirport.

If you are traveling during the season (November-end of March/early May, you may find that price point challenging for the amenities you seek.

There are few/if any shared shuttles to/from PBI and Port Everglades. PBI is a small, easily navigable airport with few amenities- don't expect much in the way of food/entertainment. Do allocate sufficient time for transfers. I'd block about an hour for road time.

It should have limited impact on the hotels on 17th street. You CANNOT see much of the parade from 17th Street. Better options are downtown Fort Lauderdale, north side of the New River.

Fort Lauderdale's airport and Port Everglades are adjacent to each other (the cruise port is northeast of the airport, Dania is south of the airport). Dania beach has somewhat limited public beach access, outside of the state park (Its a perfectly lovely state park. I've spent hundreds if not a thousand or more hours there- my father used to work at facilities only accessible by road through the park) Quarterdeck, at the east end of Dania Beach Boulevard, at the Dania pier, is highly reliable, pretty reasonable, and dining at the ocean's edge.

Mezzaluna, which is the closest restaurant, is not accepting reservations on Thanksgiving. Publix, the nearby grocery store, is also closed. Quarterdeck historically has opened late in the day (4-5pm). 15th Street Fisheries is not accepting reservations.
