  1. We had a very good lunch today in the lido. We all had sloppy Joe sliders and fries, with bread pudding for dessert. It's been raining off and on all afternoon. Looks like I am going to the magician show this evening at the world stage.
  2. We are back on the ship. The ladies shopped tent city for almost 2 hours... It rained for a bit, however it is very humid as soon as we got back to the room I needed to change clothes. Here are some photos of Dominica:
  3. Good morning dailyites as we are arriving in Dominica. We had an interesting evening yesterday. Dinner in Lido was very good. We both had pork chops and mashed potatoes. As we set down to eat, I noticed the ship had stopped. We left port a few minutes before 5 and it was now 5:30. After dinner, we went to our usual spot for smokes and we still were still just idling. Finally around 6:45, the ship started moving again. I will ask CJ if she knew what happened as no announcement was ever made. We have no plans today other than me tagging along while my sister and wife shop. Today is Dominica's independence day, so I expect most shops will be closed. I hope everyone here has a great day and I will check in later.
  4. We have had a beautiful day here in St Lucia. We shopped at the port, then took the water taxi to Castries, and you guessed it, the professional shopping bag holder walked more as the ladies shopped. 😀 Yes, my wife doesn't read CC, so I can say that. 😀😃🙂 It just finished raining for the second time today, otherwise it's been perfect weather. No plans tonight. After dinner will be playing holdem in the casino. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day.
  5. Good morning dailyites as we approach St Lucia. We had a very good meal at Canaletto's last night. I had the filet and shrimp, Suzi had the parm chicken and shrimp. Neither could finish our meals as the servings were huge. I gave back half of my Casino winnings last night. 😞 Oh well, I'm up for the cruise so no complaints. We are going to Castries this morning, no tours, just walking and shopping. I hope everyone has a great day!
  6. Lazy afternoon today. I had chicken and cheese quesadeas with salsa for lunch, they were very good. It is "stuffy" at the Seaview pool today, so I have going back n forth all afternoon. We had two medical evacuations today, one this morning, one this afternoon. We are going to Canaletto's for dinner, toes crossed it is good. 😀
  7. I needed to see CJ our concierge this morning about something and after she answered my question, she told me that Suzi and I will be receiving our medallions later this week and even though we are turning 4 star on this cruise, that will become official on our next cruise.
  8. Back from St John's, Antigua already... Much of the shopping area is closed as they are celebrating Independence day on the islands. Very clean and easy to navigate the shopping area along with passengers from the Aurora.
  9. Good morning dailyites as we are close to docking in St John's Antigua. We had a wonderful evening yesterday. I had crab cakes for dinner and was surprised they were very good. Rum raisin ice cream for dessert. 😀 We went to the comedy show in the theater it was good. The ship had very little movement and I slept a solid 5 hours, which is great for me. No plans today other than walking with the ladies as they shop.... I hope everyone has a great day and hopefully will check in later.
  10. Good afternoon dailyites from sunny hot St Martin. I didnt post this morning as my tablet cord went bad and didn't charge overnight and was at 2% this morning. Anyway, bought a new one and it's charged now. 😀 We went to Phillipsburg this morning via water taxi. I remarked to the lady who sold me the day pass strap that was my souvenir of the island and that proved to be true. Many businesses closed, not sure if it's too early in the season or maybe closed permanently. We walked around and all three of us came back not buying anything. Had a cheeseburger and fries at Dive in for lunch, it was very good. Forgot to mention yesterday I had banana ice cream for desert for the first time after dinner, it was delicious. We are going to the Comedian show tonight at the World Stage. I hope everyone is doing well and I hope rest of your day is wonderful.
  11. Well the ac is better, it's now a steady 73, so hopefully can get some sleep tonight. 😴 Dinner was very good. I had penne and bolognese with cheese, hit the spot. I know, pretty boring to some, but I enjoy Italian food. 😀 By some miracle, I won in the casino. Wind has calmed down and rain squalls have stopped. I will be checking in the morning before we get off the ship in St Martin.
  12. We are onboard now and my sister asked for and received whichever artificial sweetener is in yellow and pink packets for her iced tea in the lido for lunch and dinner. Odd, same cruise and best food since restart since covid.
  13. Engineers showed up right after my last post. They cleaned the filters and said we were good to go. Hoping temp gets cooler in here before bedtime. We did have a first for me on cruise, one long horn blast, followed by 3 or 4 more. I asked the Engineer who had stripes what happened since no announcement was made. He said they had a big cargo ship on radar in the shipping lane that would not respond by radio contact. Apparently after the horns were blasted it moved. It stopped raining and captain said at his afternoon talk we have made up lost time at port everglades and will arrive in St Martin at 8am scheduled time. 😀
  14. Lazy day onboard the Eurodam. Wife took me shopping this morning, as she wanted to see if I would like a polo shirt in the gift shop. Of course, they had something she wanted to look at first, which I was strongly hinted at would be a nice Christmas gift... 🎄 I has lasagna for lunch, which was yummy, Suzi and my sister had turkey which they both enjoyed. We had strong rain storm about an hour ago, always a joy watching peeps get out of the pool and dart for cover... 😀 We are waiting for another engineer to stop by the room about ac. 😞
  15. Good morning dailyites live from the Eurodam. Another sleepless night in our 77 degree suite. 😪 Overcast and humid here on the ship. Dark black clouds so I expect we are in for a rainy day. No plans today as we head towards St Thomas. They have no activities by the pool today for the second day in a row. Surprised as we had plenty on sea days on other HAL cruises. Dinner in the Lido was very good last night. We had filets and real green beans! So nice to have a vegi. 🙂 Here is an aft pool pic at 4 am.
  16. Went to meet n greet this morning and we had a good turnout. They opened the aft pool about an hour ago. Very windy still this afternoon causing "motion in the ocean". 😀 No plans rest of the day. Will try to check in later.
  17. New chairs have arrived for the Eurodam. They didn't bother removing the wrapping and now peeps are grabbing chairs, taking off the wrapping and the wind blows it off the ship. Unfortunately, very disorganized.... Many upset people who are standing around since they have no place to sit. The layout chairs have not been put out yet, and at 7:30am, no empty seats in the smoking area.
  18. Good morning dailyites, cruising towards the southern Caribbean. Thank you for the Daily Report. Cloudy, windy morning so far. Mucho wave action and swaying nicely by the Seaview pool. 😀 I am going to meet n greet later this morning, otherwise not much else going on for us today. Yesterday was a zoo at the port. No priority boarding for us again as most of the land staff had no idea what they were doing. I shrugged it off and went with flow eventually getting on the ship around noon. Usual lunch and dinner in the lido. Food was very good and many choices. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
  19. I did wave, unfortunately we were on wrong side of aft probably to be seen. Thanks everyone and will be checking in.
