Ohmigosh!  The female singer sang an Adele song that sounded just like Adele was singing!  She can sing absolutely anything.  I loved watching the drummer...he's crazy, but super good!  He would climb up on a chair to reach the ceiling to find the sound he needed.  We all asked for a drum solo, but didn't get it.  The lead male singer said they have to muffle him.

Yes, she does an amazing Adele cover. We loved the drummer too. Did you get to see him come out front and sing Back in Black by AC/DC? The female lead played drums during that song. It was amazing. They are all so talented. We lived in Red Frog when they were playing.

On MG 4/30.  We completed Verifly (got Ready to sail on our phone) 2 days before sailing.  Once at the pier the  agent (must be a newbie) checked us in re-did everything from picture/copy the vaccine card/Covid Test.  We felt it was a waste of our time she did not take too long do do all that.

Same thing happened to us. Our agent looked at completed ready to sail Verifly and then wanted to see all hard copies. Others in our group checking in on both sides of us at the same time just showed Verifly and was good to go.

The last time that I sailed out of Tampa, all you had to do is look for people with signs to the airport, at the time it was $8.00 per person with no reservation.

That's exactly what we did back in March. Six of us just walked outside with no real plan. There was the nice shuttle bus sitting right there. Very easy to see them. The bus seats about 16-20 people. It is now $10/pp.

Last time I checked, the card version is NOT acceptable because it does not contain all the required information and it is not a certified form.

We have passports but my brother-in-law just used his birth certificate card in Tampa last month with no issues.

@vinotinto Thank you. I contacted them this morning and they confirmed that we have private transportation for our trip. They were very accommodating when I booked to insure we had private. This was before the gas price boom. So, I will be sure to tip our driver more or even offer to fill their tank.

We used them last week. Six of us to Infinity Bay and our van was private coming and going back to the ship.

Platinum - don’t forget to go by CasinoCashier to pick up your $25.00. Pride was handing out benefit in cash.

Also, Platinum (and Gold I believe) beverage has $10 max, was charged about $.50 on account for overage. No big deal but a little crazy, a beverage is a beverage, prices seem to have gone up, perhaps max of $10 should go up.

I forgot about mentioning the casino freebie. You are exactly right. They give you $25 cash. My wife turned hers into $61 on the slots. I just pocketed mine.

  7. We were also on this same cruise.

1- Embarkation, arrived at 9:40 for 10am appointment, allowed up the escalator at 9:45. Checked in by 10, walked on the ship at 11:18. We are platinum.

2- Debarkation- met in Normandy Dining Room at 7:05. Immediately escorted off the ship with the rest of the plats, diamonds, etc. Cleared customs and out the door by 7:30.

3- Entertainment - loved the band Mashup in the Red Frog Pub. You have to check them out. Also liked Buck and Oz in the atrium. The Violin Trio was also very entertaining. They are not your typical violin trio, check them out. Comedians were just ok and they rotated the same ones all week. Calypso guy on deck was ok when he played steel drums. When he sang he was terrible. Take his mic please. All the shows in Taj Mahal except one was just someone singing. We did not go. Did go and see the Magic/Comedy show of Richard Steele. He was just ok at best. Did not go to the piano bar but every time we passed by it was crowded and he sounded good and entertaining. The DJ was good. He had everybody on the floor every night in Beauties Night Club.

4- Like Cellfree said there were only about 1600 on board. It was fabulous!

5- Dining, at all evening meals in the Normandy. We had anytime dining, used the hub app to check in, always had our table in less then 5 minutes. We ate between 645-700 nightly. Breakfast in the buffet each morning. Pretty standard if you have ever been on a Carnival cruise.

Cabins- We had 6315, balcony aft on Empress deck. Nice quiet area. A/C worked great all week keeping the temp around 68.

All in all we had a wonderful cruise, just about perfect weather, yes the Pride is an older ship but she is in great shape and you will have a wonderful time.

  8. Also, as an FYI, to be able to print boarding pass which has your boarding group you must fill out all the info. I just did this a few nights ago and simply put generic info the guests that I did not yet have info for. Examples are I just selected cash for their account, selected birth certificate, etc. Very easy to then go back and change at a later date which we have already done. We got 10am check-in and boarding group A01.

Well my early platinum check in would have been yesterday, I agree, but I just booked today, and then checked in, but still surprised all the slots before 12 were gone as only platinum could check in yesterday/today as others can check in starting tomorrow.

We cruise on the 20th and our early platinum check-in was March 4. I was up just before midnight Thursday waiting for the clock to tick over and I was able to begin the process and was able to select 10am. I think perhaps you are a few days late and that is why your time is a few hours later.

  10. I just completed online check-in last night for our upcoming cruise. It was to be available to do on 3/4. Last night at 11:59pm it was not ready. Refreshed at 12:00am and check-in was ready for me to complete. You have to fill out everything and once complete it will assign you a boarding zone. We got A01. To tell what zone you got just pretend you are printing the docs and you can see it in the PDF. We are platinum and was able to complete this process 2 days prior to it being opened up to the masses. Our cruise departs 3/20.
