  1. We all signed up ahead of time before boarding the Bliss. I did check at Customer Service on the ship to verify that we were indeed on the list for Port Valet and, yes, it's such a great service when your flight is much later in the day. We walked over to Pike Market to explore and then took the Monorail over to Seattle Center (Space Needle) etc. After sightseeing in Seattle, taking the light rail to the airport was a breeze.ย ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. ๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธOur family just returned on Saturday after spending 7 days on the NCL Bliss from Seattle to Seattle.

We visited 5 ports and yes the times spent in port were short but the onboard experience was great with the two headliner shows Six and Jersey Boys. There are plenty of activities and entertainment to keep you active and involved should you wish on the ship. The younger ones on our family made use of the pool and the mini bowling. I especially liked the Atrium with all the various music and games to participate in or just watch. We discovered different bars to meet up in, enjoy cocktails and listen to a band or piano player. ๐Ÿ˜ฒI never play Bingo on a ship and yet I found myself hoping to win a cruise, LOL!ย The comedian kept the whole family in stiches. There was a family Karaoke night, too.ย

This was my third time cruising to Alaska (previously on Princess) and I would recommend the NCL experience for families favorably. A surprising day in Juneau was watching the locals celebrate in their Fourth of July parade! The Bliss docks miles away from Ketchikan so we booked an excursion as well as one for Sitka. (Raptor Center)๐Ÿฆ…

Additionally, there are shuttles provided for passengers wanting to go out independently.

We were very fortunate to have good weather and our rain gear was not needed. We'd heard the week before was rainy!ย โ˜”

  3. ๐Ÿ˜ŠThank you for Fleet Report and The Daily, Roy @rafinmd.

I hope Rich @richwmnis enjoying his World Cruise on the Zuiderdam.๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘Jacqui @kazuI'm glad that you're home now but very sorry to hear of your mishap.ย

๐ŸŽ‚Best Wishes to all celebrating a January birthday.

Yes, it's been raining non-stop since returning home and thank goodness no evacuations for us.โ˜”

Our big outingย for the day was to the grocery store, lol.๐Ÿ™ƒ

๐Ÿ™Prayers for all in need especially for Graham's daughterย @grapau27.

We are now in Jamaica.ย  A couple of new things for our cruise. Happy hour is now 20% off not buy one second 25%off.ย  Last night at our table of 8 in the MDR was a couple who are in a Neptune Suite.ย  They were told they are not serving breakfast in the PG for this trip because of staffing issues though it was open during the NY cruise.ย  They have a "special section" in the MDR where they can enjoy cold coffee and a 45 minute wait like the rest of us.ย  We had gotten a NS quote when we booked last February.ย  I would be really ticked after paying $100k to have a terrific perk taken away.ย  We eat in the Lido after one try in MDR for breakfast.ย  Coffee is hot and self serve means hot food.ย

Tomorrow is Covid testing and after that I hope the masks can come off. I wore one all through the NYE cruise and am ready to get a break from them.ย ย

I don't know if @lindalerwas on the Daily yesterday but she was signing us in at our Meet and Greet and she said her badly scuffed bags with all her clothes intact made it to her cabin late Tuesday night. So happy for her. Nancyย

I just finished the survey for Zuiderdam and now we are home (rain, rain and more rain!) I would like to recommend the waiters we had in the MDR on the Zuiderdam and how efficient they were: Jatnika and his assitant Gofar.

For the morning breakfast in the MDR we had either Alberto or Adrian (he actually remembered us from last year's holiday cruise on the Rotterdam). Now, brown sugar was the issue for us--hard to find in the MDR but plentiful upstairs in the Crow's Nest.ย

Our very favorite place was Half Moon Cay and on the 12 day (B2B) we visited the island twice.

Happy 2023.....Katie, Dennis and Aunt Viviane from Belgium.
