Just returned on the Dream. Yes They do seem to be adding more drinks to the premium range ( well it is a premium ship ) This is the first time we have not had the package and our bill was a lot less than the full price of £796 .If you are paying full price for it you need to drink a large amount to cover the cost

Just returned after 2 wks on the Dream. Yes they are serving you in the buffet. What I would like to know when will people learn to use the gels. I stood one night waiting for my wife come out of the laddies and saw 3 ladies walk out with out using the gel Have also seen people come into eating areas without using gel

I see on TV this morning TUI have lost 386million over the winter period Maybe if they looked after their loyal customers more that loss would be less
-
Well are Thomson driving all their loyal UK passengers away so have got to go to Canada
-
Yes but there a many like me that have no interest in cruising on these new all singing all dancing cruise ships with ice rinks, climbing walls etc and thousands of passengers
We are the same Jim. When you see these great big ships that hold 1000's of passenger I do think it"s for us.we have been docked along side of the NCL's Epic and no thank you. We like the smaller ships that Thomson have .The crew are excellent and soon get to know you and look after you well

Was in the Bathroom last September

We've done 7 cruises with Thomson and another booked. Never even had a glass of bubbly, let alone a bottle :rolleyes::rolleyes:
May be they do not like us Linda

We will be on cruise number 7 on the Dream May 31st then number 8 on Dec 30th and and never had even a thank you for our loyalty

Going on the dream May 31st. Does anyone know who the pianist is in the Delo bar
-
Think they only respond to the one's that suit them

I think you would win in a small claims court.
As you say, insurance companies do not require receipts.
I happen to keep my receipts too but some of my more expensive clothes are older and I won't have the receipts for those, but they would cost a lot more to replace now.
Sometimes I think Thomson are going out of their way to upset people and give themselves a bad name.
Thomson just do not like paying out even if they are in the wrong

Me too :D
Nothing better than going back to your cabin, having the chocolate while browsing through next days Cruise News.
I love my chocolates and my wife's if I can get my hands on them

Good news I say, anything that cuts emissions can only be good, as long as it doesn't degrade the quality of the cruise or dictate the selection of ports to the extent that it takes over the selection process. Any money they save should be ploughed back into improving the overall cruise experience.

Do not think it will be ploughed back to improving the overall cruise experience, more like bigger profit for the share holders

Hi Jilly I am am sorry to say Thomson do not care for their loyal customers . Think it was 2 yrs ago we put our cases on the coach on the dock in Majorca when we got to the airport one of the handles had been broken off one case . We reported it to the Thomson staff at the airport but the coach had left. Back in Manchester we reported it to our local thomson shop . Yes take Photos of the damage. and forward them to Thomson After a long wait they contacted us to say nothing they could because they did not know which coach it was. So we had a £200 case to scrape Lucky our travel insurance honoured our claim

My wife and myself always enjoy getting dressed up for the formal nights and the rest of the time we have smart casual ( me long pants and a casual shirt Wife smart dress or trousers) the thing is different people have their own ideas of what is smart casual

Great review Linda We will be thinking of trying Fred Olsen
-
We Have always had AI but after our last cruise in Sept we roughly checked what we had drank and worked out we would have been about £100 out of pocket. We drink what we want glass of wine lunch time coffee in the day Bar drinks at nite time drinks with dinner
-
Hi Mark You go and make your own mind up on it Yes there does seem to be a lot of negative reviews and I think may be corners are being cut but reading reports on other lines I think a lot of them are doing it. People are very quick to complain but nit so fast to give praise. We have been on the Dream 6 times since Thomsons got her in 2010 . The last being last Sept for our 25th wedding . and we had a fab time The ship is older than a lot of the big lines but it looks like a ship as some of the bigger ones look like a block of flats It only holds 1500 approx passengers so the staff remember you and will give you excellent service. I think you have look at reviews and remember everyone person is different so what pleases one another does not like. Hope this makes a little sense to you . By the way we have booked trip number 7 for next New Year
-
We have had it on the Dream and it as always been there till we depart the ship . Only thing that is not is your cabin
-
Dave we join her on 6th January , so we'll be aboard at the same time as yourselves , like you am looking forward to sailing the canal out into the Pacific :)
thanks for getting back to me. I know it's a long way off yet but if you want we will have to have a drink together
Loyalty Scheme

Thomson did recognise us as loyal cruisers and offered us a seat at the staff captains table on the first formal night on the first sitting Had to decline as the first sitting is far to early for us We have always done the second sitting
