  1. Just off Freedom (3/17) and can confirm that we had issues with charges on our account. I had the Royal Replenish package, which includes cokes, frozen drinks, and bottled water. When I would walk up to a bar and ask for bottled water, they would always swipe my card but never ask me to sign anything. A few of them also decided to give themselves a TIP for handing me a bottled water. Of course, Guest Services argued with me and even printed receipts showing a $1 tip on them (that I didn't authorize). It was my word against theirs....they did remove the extra charges/tips. It just bothered me that the staff would actually add a tip like that.

same experience with them adding tip to our drinks in the Theater. On Adventure recently we heard the bartender crying about how they would prefer the tip payed in cash to them so they could "benefit". My husband had to put his hand over my mouth to keep from telling the passenger that an 18% tip was already added.

  2. If you received a call from the person taking care of your account and she is asking for consent to start a new account what would be the areas of concern you'd require her to address before giving said permission?

Since final payment is made for a June 30th cruise I want to be sure we don't lose our perk (wine), OBC or the payment doesn't get misascribed. Worried about getting someone elses' old number at which time it would be nearly impossible to sort through the mess.

This will be our first cruise as Emeralds and I paid dearly to be emerald for my 30th anniversary so if we aren't Emerald there's going to be fireworks.

  3. My DH account is good and I think we just changed his password. BUT when I try to get in on my account it won't because DH and I have the same email address so I get stopped before I can go any further than the sign in screen. Do I need to open a new email account in order to see my account on Royal? I'm not opening a new email account just for Royal. Has anyone else had this issue? If so what did you do to work around it?

see if you have the same situation as me. Both his and my C&A numbers are registered to TWO Robert Renees (his first and my middle name). So they have to recreacte my account with a new number which they say will take a week.

  4. For those of you who use the "Forgot Password" request and then re-register using an email address instead of your old user name, BE SURE TO FILL IN YOUR C&A NUMBER WHEN THERE'S A BLANK FOR IT. All of my cruise activity, past and future, was populated for me, along with membership numbers from Celebrity and Azamara. I don't know if my entering my C&A number was the reason that all my cruise activity was listed, but I'm glad I didn't have to enter it all.

Man I wished I'd have read this a day or so ago. I bet that's why they're having to issue me a new number!!!!!

  5. And for the third time in the past week, my C&A account has been reset from D+ to Gold, with a different C&A number. It's pretty sad that I have to keep the 'workaround' screenshot on my desktop in order to get my account recovered.

I'd love to keep checking your progess. My and my husbands account were merged using his first name and my middle name on both accounts. They told me it will take a week for them to separate our accounts and give me a new number.

  6. My husband isn't here to ask the name but it was for a blonde female from Michigan I believe. If it is you they owe you nothing.

from Oklahoma. The security people told us to take it to our ship and if you weren't on it then bring it back out to them. We were also told they would leave a note for you or else we would have just brought it home and mailed it ourselves. I'd love to know if it was you.

  7. We've sailed out of San Juan, twice, fairly recently and haven't had any issues. I know that some cruises have the reputation of being "loud and rude", but I've really only heard that about the 3 - 4 night cruises out of FL to the Bahamas & the comparison of those cruises to "spring break" atmosphere. We've only taken 7 day cruises but our FAVORITES are the ones we've sailed out of San Juan. We LOVE the ports, very scenic. It's also a great experience sailing out at night past the forts.

I wanted to get back to you about our previous discussions. First learning from you that Shipwreck was closed saved another couple we ate dinner with from a disappointing experience.

Second I told you I'd get back to you about Nevis. We spent an hour after our snorkeling and catamaran trip and an hour was plenty. The beach was Meh. It was called Peonies. There were waves and it pulled, etc and the beach wasn't the really pretty sand nor all that clean. I would never plan a whole beach break there unless there's a Bay with a day pass.

  8. A couple of things we wished we'd have know. Were flew in and out of Puerto Rico last 4 years ago. Since then they've changed the policy of not being able to check your bags until 4 hours before your flight time on the weekends. We weren't aware of this change and spent an excruciating 4 hours in the Airport (and two in the ships diningroom) because we had already done the excursion which would have taken care of our baggage.

The food prices at the Airport are insane. $8 single serve pizza or a sandwich and $20 for a hamburger. A cocktail will cost you the same as on the ship. You may want to eat before you fly out elsewhere.

You must allow for extra time in order to be cleared for the agricultural check of your bags. You can't drop you luggage off til they put stickers on the bags.

  9. also found out that if you downgrade after final payment they don't refund the difference. I did my math and figured out I would be owed money and she said it was the "same price". Took two more calls to figure out what was going on. And there would NOT have been a credit to our account either. So instead of losing $99 I upgraded and paid the same $750 (as the OP) for the but get the double points because I upsold myself. LOL.

  10. While I agree with you that it should have been mailed to all C&A members, as well as all those being currently booked on a cruise and not a C&A member, I do think this would have been a little overwhelming task for their IT department;p:confused::rolleyes:

if they don't think they need to contact their customers when they change their cabin assignment how are we to believe they'd need to do that.

  11. You certainly won't be "over" the pool or WJ...hopefully you can get something on our favorite deck #9...But do consider everything....and remember the WJ is carpeted and the pool area is too far forward to be over the JS's on deck #10 on Adventure.

They do now have 4 JS on deck 11. Reason I know is that I upgraded myself about a week ago to that JS from a balcony (for tomorrow) for the exact same price they offered you - to be precise ($749). Be careful though I lost $200 OBC and no one told me.
