  1. Yup! I agree 100%.... If I have Plus, what do I have to spend that credit on? Maybe an excursion but I'm betting you won't get that credit until you are on the ship...by which time most of the excursions would be full! It's a good buy if you were already getting Plus but not so great if you weren't! On another note, I'm "jumping ship" again in August as my teens want to try one of the "Mammoth of the Seas" ships. I haven't been silent about my disenchantment with Princess recently, and my dislike of the packages forcing you to pay for what was otherwise included, BUT now that I'm on this other line (with all the extras as truly extra rather than bundled) I'm starting to change my mind! When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong...
  2. I'm not sure you would get $1200 on a 10 day! OBC (guest 1 & 2): $20 OBC per person, per day for interior & oceanview, $30 OBC per person, per day for balcony staterooms & above. Max $400 per guest for interior and oceanview staterooms, max $600 per guest for balcony and above staterooms.
  3. It's new bookings only. You would need to cancel and rebook.
  4. Our 3 Day Sale with Princess features an EXCLUSIVE OFFER that you can access for just 72 hours from June 6 – 8. Book ANY sailing at Princess Plus® fares and access up to $1,200 Onboard Cash Credit, Onboard Beverage Package, Unlimited Wi-Fi, and more. So, basically, just OBC this year...it makes it sound as if you are getting the beverage package, etc but you are already paying for those with the Plus package!
  5. OK - give me the down and dirty... 1. Did you find it insanely crowded (my biggest fear with going on Harmony is the number of people)? I've heard that even though there is a million and one people, they are spread out and it's not bad. True? 2. Was it tough to get into the shows? I plan on making reservations as/when/where I can...but I would be disappointed to miss out on the production and ice/aqua shows. 3. I don't think you did any of the paid dining? If you did, and I missed it, how was it and was it worth the price? 4. Drink package - it's a no-brainer for me, but what about the kids? My two like a soda or two with meals, maybe a mocktail now and then. The girl is a coffee drinker and the boy is shake guy. I currently have the refreshment package for them (I think this covers all of the above) - did your kiddos make use of the drink package? Thanks again - I feel like a total newbie again!
  6. Oh. My. God. That looks/sounds horrendous. By the time you get off it will be time to get back on! I probably would have given up and just gone to the bar at this point...sorry your Perfect Day is not, well, Perfect....
  7. Is this the last day for the school year? How come you finish up so early? Do they go back before September? Our schools go right through to the end of June - I wish we were done now, as I could definitely fit in another vacation if that were the case...
  8. Counting on you to give me the low down on RC - haven't sailed them since 2008 (wasn't overly impressed then) but, like you, my kids are drawn to those mammoth ships and all their bells and whistles. Trying out Harmony at the end of August and feel like a newbie again!
  9. Ooooh, pick me! Pick me! I know! You get a bigger cup! Do I get a gold star?
  10. I was pleasantly surprised at the pricing (I wasn't looking for mermaiden voyages). I managed to grab the Panama Canal and the California to Vancouver at acceptable prices - both in central sea terrace. I often get initial sticker shock when I see the price, but then I remember that pretty much all the "extras" are included in that price (other than alcohol, of course). Compared to other lines that you need to add this in after the fact, I would say Virgin aren't too far off. I'm still debating the NY sailings, but I already have most of 2025 booked...
  11. All this talk of Skechers and hey dudes…I think dad would look awesome in a pair of crocs! With socks of course…
  12. Hands down the best line of the cruise. I can relate. Been there. Done that.
  13. I was excited to try the croissant Mai tai cocktail on the bar crawl on Bliss. Sadly, it made me almost vomit. Or maybe that was just because I was already 5 hours into the bar crawl…what did you think of that one?
  14. We need to go for drinks when you're in my hood!!! I bet we can rope in @YVRteacher too - she is always up for drinks! We can initiate her into the Tribe!
  15. I think I would like to sign up for the quality control department. I'm willing to take one for the team and sample all the beer to be sure they pass the taste test. You're welcome...
  16. I trust by now that dad’s truffles are securely locked away in the safe…
  17. Interrupting this live to say I miss our daily text convos so I’m going to continue you them on what’s app so you have all my daily drama to read whenever you have free wifi! As you were…
  18. Have you done Treadwell Mine in Juneau? The kids and I go everytime we are there. It's easy to get to by public bus, or a quick cab ride over the bridge to the opposite side of town. It has some nice walking trails and things to see, as well as a beach and stunning views of the ships from the opposite side of the island! 19. I need to know some very important information: 1. How many pillows a) started on dad's bed and b) remain on dad's bed? 2. How many mistakes are in today's Freestyle Daily? 3. How much do you DESERVE this break? (Spoiler: I already know the answer to this one)
  20. Last time we were in Ketchikan we discovered a new gin distillery which was very cool! They have free samples, great cocktails, and you can see the huge distillery operation they have going on! www.Unchartedak.com
