  1. I receive 5 "loyalty" drinks per day on my RC sailings. A 7 day cruise is roughly $500 in free alcoholic beverages. Not including the food treats left in my cabin, free bottle of wine, free photo, laundry etc... My platinum status on Carnival gets me next to nothing in comparison. My loyalty perks from Carnival come from the casino. I have to laugh when I hear Carnival is going to revamp their loyalty program....yes, please do!!
  2. Stopped there on Magnifica last week, loved it!
  3. I hope this is true!! I hope RC plans cruises coming out of Norfolk indefinitely, but who knows.
  4. I just got an email from the MSC casino for a free cruise… woohoo!!
  5. I love the Anthem but am also looking forward to some of the "new to me" ships coming to NJ...Liberty, Odyssey and Symphony. I will miss Anthem though, she's my favorite ship. Thank you for taking the time to bring us along.. following. 🙂
  6. I did feel that way in my inside cabin only. I do plan on booking again but will make sure it's in an OV or balcony cabin so it's not so dreary. It did not feel outdated at all around the ship.
  7. Yes, exactly…I love the smaller vessels for this exact reason!
  8. 3 weeks ago I changed the name on my cabin mate for our Med cruise on Voyager for September. My original friend had to cancel, her mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She purchased the drink package and the dining package a long time ago. My new cabin mate now has those 2 purchases listed under her name, both purchases automatically transferred into her name. They didn't automatically cancel. My new cabin mate, my SIL, was just diagnosed with lymphoma last week.😢 I originally booked this cruise 2 years ago. We paid the fee a year ago to change the date as my first friend couldn't do the original one, then she got the news about her mom and had to cancel all together...this particular cruise is a frustration.
  9. Thanks for following! 😀 No drinks at all in the pool area. Of course on the deck around the pool area is ok, but not even sitting around the pool area too put your feet in. (which is what I was doing)
  10. That’s a wonderful way to heal. Enjoy your cruises and your healing time.
  11. I returned from my first solo cruise this past Friday. I sailed MSC Magnifica. It was also my first time sailing MSC. I had such a great time…so relaxing! It was a great ship too. I did a live review on this site. My next solo is on Liberty of the Seas next month, on the 22nd. I can’t wait!!
  12. You are correct, they had chicken and salads also. I should have worded it differently. I’m not into BBQ foods on vacation. I did go back on ship that day lunch…it was delicious.
  13. You're welcome! I definitely had a great time and get wait for my next solo cruise next month on Liberty of the Seas.
  14. OMG, that is so funny she's in the pic!! I plan to book another MSC cruise again soon too. I really liked the atmosphere on the Magnifica!
  15. Everything worked out fine. I hit rush hour in quite a few places in the 3.5 hour drive. I made it to work with only 5 min to spare!!
  16. I thought is was well kept. Of course some things are outdated but all in all still beautiful.
  17. Well, another fabulous cruise down in the books. My bag is packed and I’m ready to go. Hoping all goes well tomorrow…Uber gets here with no problems and we get to MIA by 0930, the flight leaves on time, the shuttle arrives on time in NJ to take me to my car, my car hasn’t been stolen out of the car lot and the 3 hour ride gets me to work on time for my shift tomorrow night! 🤪
  18. I packed that little bag and still had 2 blouses and 2 capris I never wore.
  19. You will be fine. As with the other lines, dress varies. I brought nothing fancy with me. Slacks and blouses other than the 2 sun dresses.
