I'm not asking this because we dislike kids...but to the contrary.  Our recent Apex cruise we saw maybe 15 kids the whole time, and each time I couldn't help but think "those poor kids must be so bored".

So why do parents with kids choose Celebrity?

My kids (many years ago), and my grandkids (presently) all love Celebrity and were never bored.  They do not need all the bells and whistles to be happy. We swam, played tons of  games, had great meals, listened to music (and they had so much fun dancing), they loved silent disco, and just enjoyed being together.

Aqua cabins are in the worst part of the ship.  Under the pool for example.  They could choose to make it several decks below but they don’t.  Blu restaurant and Spa are the only perks.

All Aqua are not in the worst part of the ship.  We are on deck 11 of the Silhouette right off the elevator with a large balcony, great location. We have also been aft in the added on rooms of m-class and it was fantastic.  You just have to choose carefully.

Also, we trade in the sparkling wine for a bottle of white wine.

I have one for my Feb 12 Silhouette sailing, but initially booked one only for myself to replace my WiFi-reservation. Came back as I considered to add it for my wife and kids too, but was sold out by then.

Any idea what happens if we show up early with only one of us having Xpass/Premium Access?

Where was the option located when it was available?

Later , it is March this year

Yes, that is why I said Easter is late. There are still a few schools in my community that are following the old week that includes Easter or Good Friday and the next week, and I am sure there are others around the country, but not as many as years ago. Colleges are a different story, their breaks are generally in March, regardless.

We were on a cruise in Nov.  There  was someone else that was also on that cruise and posted a live blog.  She wrote that she booked  got 50% off of a few specialty dinners when on board, and that they are giving away food.  Prior to the cruise I always checked for discounts on the dining.   Never seen 50% off. I think 5%was max and I can get more with my CC perks

There was a person always standing at a podium to book those dinners.   I keep asking if there were any discounts.   He said no.   I told and showed him the blog.  He said it never happened and there  were never any discounts like that for a long time.

Sometimes people write stuff that they want to believe or to glamorize to make others think they are special.  Or they are just confused  and don’t know what they really got.

The short answer. NO large discounts.  At most is the first night that I have seen to be 30% on the S, and M class.  On the E class the best amount is what you get from the CC perks.

    Happy crusing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

"Sometimes people write stuff that they want to believe or to glamorize to make others think they are special."

This is so true and bothers me so much.  When people ask certain questions, I wish others would stick to the facts. Yes, sometimes someone is asking for opinions, but sometimes they just want an unbiased answer.

From what you are saying, it sounds like I am safe to pay for a nonrefundable quick trip to the tulip gardens on turnaround day.  Thank you for that info and thank you to everyone for your input.  Marilyn

Only you know if you are in the same room.  You would have to look at your reservations.

If you are just interested in cruising, and the destination doesn't matter, this would be fine. But you aren't seeing enough of Hawaii for me. I would do a land trip instead, or from Honolulu. I would want to see Maui (even though Lahaina isn't available) and Kauai.

Hi!  A few days ago you posted the above.  Would you share the source for your RIB boat tour?  Unless it's through your cruise line.  I'm just wondering if there are any 3rd party tour companies doing this.

    Thanks!

I've seen this same tour on Viator.

There is no HH on embarkation day or the days that have the Captains Reception,  or Captain's Club party.   So that could be 3 days of your cruise without the HH.   They do serve the same HH drinks at those parties that last about 1 hour

$100/day is a lot of drinking and if you have a lot of port days you may be drinking at those ports instead.

    Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅

On our last several cruises, the only day you couldn't get the drinks from 5 - 7 was on embarkation day.  Every other day they were available.

Also an aside to the OP, you can get specialty coffees, mimosas, bellinis and specialty coffee at the Elite breakfast.  We normally don't eat our breakfast at the Elite breakfast, but will go there after breakfast if one of us wants one of those beverages.

Interesting. Has anyone used this service and how was the experience? Not sure my wife might go for it as she likes to have the control.

We used it on the Apex in December.  As far as getting the bags to Southwest airlines in Ft. Lauderdale, we had no problems!  I will say, our children stayed on for 1 week, and then we stayed on for a second week.  We both used luggage valet.  When they left after the first week, their family was "randomly" selected out of the line when they were exiting the ship, and were escorted down to the customs area. Asked a couple questions, and they were free to go.

One week later, we were "randomly" selected to be escorted down to customs.  They said something about making sure our bags had gone through customs, and after 2 minutes, we could go.  My point is I don't think it was random, I think it had to do with luggage valet, because too coincidental that it happened to both of us.  Nevertheless, it only took 10-15 minutes extra, and it was worth it not to lug our bags as our flight was in the afternoon.

Hi All, I've asked this in an older thread but thought a new topic may help others and gain more responses!

We are going to be on the apex in an infinite veranda room and we'd like to know about the TV. Is it possible to cast from my phone to the TV? Or will I need to a hdmi cable/laptop?

    Thank you

    Lauren

My son could cast from his phone and iPad to the TV on our cruise in December.

Where were those so called cameras when she stole my Chanel sunglasses right from my lounger?  I was chatting with her in the pool and she kept looking at them: a half hour later they were gone. Totally my fault for bringing anything valuable on board but it was my second cruise.

I said I tend to worry less, I didn't say I don't worry at all. I'm sorry somebody took them, unfortunately it was just too tempting for somebody without a conscience!

By what happens I mean as far as the Billing as a single guest in a cabin is always charged more than double the 2 guest rate?

Would X Add a charge to your account?

My son ask me that and I didn't have an answer?

     Has anyone  experienced that situation?

just traveled with that situation.  Wasn't an insurable issue so were just refunded port fees and taxes.
