  1. I cannot imagine a scenario that I will remove the auto gratuities. They are not a huge amount, yet I wouldn't want anybody to be held responsible for the fact that I wanted to do remove them. Instead, I give extra cash to anyone that I think deserves an extra boost. We are lucky to be able to cruise, and most of the employees work very hard.

    Hello,

We are booked for the Beyond in March, and decided to try aqua class.  We have a few questions if you can please help it be greatly appreciated!

We probably not going to use the spa, don't ask me why I chose aqua class but it was a casino special upgrade.

Where do we go to book Blu for dinner when we board the ship as aqua class guests?

Does anybody know if dining in Blu if I can request something that is on one of the main dining room menus that evening?

Does Blu with advance notice take special requests, I love my meat is it possible to ask for a rib eye or similar steak even if it is not on the menu?

Just curious, does aqua class board before concierge class?

We really appreciate your help and than you very much.

Aqua class does not have priority boarding. The first night a time will be suggested to you for dinner. Unless it is the time we want to eat, we just go when it is convenient. After the first night, just go any time during Blu's open hours and you will be seated. Occasionally, but rarely, you may have a short wait.
We have never made a request for something not on the menu, so I'm not sure what they will tell you. We have ordered from the main dining room menu. On the Beyond, the regular dining rooms are quite a distance from Blu, and some people have reported they could not order, but I would still give it a try.

  3. I am doing the cruise starting tomorrow, so I have not experienced these excursions, however, Celebrity excursions are very expensive and in Wellington, the cable car and Zealandia can be easily done on your own. The shuttle will drop you off right near the cable car, which you can take to the top, and then there is a free shuttle to Zelandia, so that is one I would, for sure do on my own, rather than pay their exorbitant costs.

  4. This is too important to topic for you to trust opinions of people on this board. Go right to the Celebrity website and will direct you to the particular ports you are going to and what the Requirements are.
everyone here wants to be helpful, but if they give you the wrong advice you will have a big problem.

They wouldn't be unsupervised, we would still keep it to one adult and one kid in each cabin. Was just wondering if we could switch the names on the cabin.

As someone else mentioned,  your wife could certainly sleep in the same room, my experience was that we could not change the actual names on the room due to their rules about not having children that young be alone in a room. If you are comfortable with them sleeping together in the inside room, you can certainly switch where you sleep , but you wouldn’t be able to eat dinner together blue.

Our cruise in February starts in New Zealand and then travels to Australia for two ports before finally disembarking in Sydney.  Does anyone know if the the testing rules would be the same in this case versus starting the cruise in Australia?

Also @possum52do you have some official website, at least for Australia, where it says you can just take a photo of the test sticks.  I can't believe that would be accepted since it could be so easily faked.

Yes, you can take a photo and yes it can be faked. It does seem silly but they do allow you to take a photo

Yes, you can fill your wine glass in your cabin and wander around the ship with it. You can also take your wine into the MDR with you. You only need to pay corkage if you bring the bottle into the dining room.

No corkage fee if you have a drink package.

Under the name of ‘Chemmo’ my husband and myself have regularly contributed to CC over many years. At first to ask questions and, in more recent years, as we became more experienced to offer information and advice, particularly about the RS and PH experience. We loved doing our live reports.

My beloved husband is now sleeping his last sleep, no more shared cruises but no regrets either… Our cruise toast was always to ‘Making it count’…We did…We enjoyed so many happy times…

Chemmo will continue with me and his son and future daughter in law…The heart will go on…

    Sending love your way❤️❤️

    Hello CC experts.

Been a number of years since on Celeb - Aqua class room (pre COVID).  Does the Reflection  - Aqua room still provide the mesh bag,  totes bags and amenities ??

Decision on what to pack and not to pack , as trying to get down to carry on only with all the airline chaos for luggage.

Thanks in advance for CC responses.

There was a tote, but not a mesh bag. There were slippers, too.

Upcoming Reflection Eastern Caribbean March 19, 2023. Anyone going?

Also would appreciate a casino review from anyone recently sailing on Reflection.

On reflection two weeks ago, staff was great.  Sometimes the drinks were a little slow but not too bad.  Table games same as usual.

discontinuing of Blu option to order from full MDR menu,

    -  not a Blu fan but if booking Blu for the food selection, why order from MDR

This, I have never understood this.  I am a fan of Blu...if the menu doesn't suit me, I'll eat elsewhere.

And 2 weeks ago we could order from the full MDR menu, so it is not on every ship that this has been discontinued.

If there is a long line and you need to exit quickly, you can go to the Retreat Lounge and the Retreat Concierge will escort you to the front of the line.

I have also experienced some ports that had a long line to get back ON the ship and there was a separate line for Suites, so we were able to skip the line and walk right on.  Very helpful at warm ports.

Thank you, this is very helpful.

Why would you need priority at a non tendered port? Just walk off the ship like the rest of the passengers.

Not a "need", Just asking as we have a shortened port stay and tight connection to meet a guide and lately we've seen some long disembarkation lines at ports. This leads to lines for the shuttle when you are not able to walk out of the port.

The same question can be asked about a tendered port.

On recent suite cruises this year, our bags were always in disembarkation group 1, so yes, there was priority.

Thank you.  I was talking about when we get to a port. I was wondering if suite guests get priority at non-tendered port stops.

Thanks, I know I’ll be fine with the Blu menu, but my husband will probably not be, so hoping they let him order from the MDR menu. I’m still wishing someone on a recent Eclipse Australia cruise chimes in. They have been so quiet, no new reviews and almost no comments, so I’m hoping no news is good news, not the opposite 😀

You can also see the main dining room menu on the app each day.
