Haven't sailed out of Port Canaveral in quite some time. Assuming no delays clearing anything, what's the earliest people have been in a taxi/Uber after getting off a ship, more specific an oasis class? If you carry your own luggage off of course.

I saw a post yesterday where a woman got off Allure at 6:40 am. But, she is Diamond Plus and was a Suite Guest so she had priority departure. She said she was the third person off the ship.

    Hello!

We've been on Royal Caribbean in the past but not in the last 5 years. I'm a school teacher who has to time my cruise within the guidelines of the school calendar.

I've started a thread here for the purpose of requesting posters to suggest RCI cruises that #1 Depart Miami #2 Do not depart until at least 12/22/24....departing 12/23/24 would be ideal btw...and #3 the cruise must be back by 12/31/24.  5 day...6 day..7 day...8 day cruises are all fine. I'm grateful to learn of all possibilities that happen to fit within the calendar framework I've mentioned here.

Thanks in advance for any and all responses!

    Steve from NJ

Just returned from a cruise and used Cruise Control. Highly recommend! They met us at the airport and took us to our hotel in Port Canaveral. After our cruise, they met us at the port and took us to the airport. They stayed in contact with us so we knew where they were, when they were coming, etc. Excellent service!

I second Cruise Control! They are great!

  4. I'm in Greenville, NC, and we did an Alaskan cruise from Seattle last year. The best deal I found was on Alaskan Airlines out of RDU (American from RDU to Dallas Forth Worth, then Alaskan from there to Seattle). We flew home direct on Delta. It was actually cheaper for us to book one-way flights on different carriers, so check that out. I would wait until after the new year to book. Experts say that the best prices are about 6-8 weeks out.

Thank you! Looks like I need to wait until 30 days out to see if I am even eligible for an upgrade.

Not necessarily. I know that is what the site says, but I used the RoyalUp link and put in a bid about 60 days out.

  6. I was on Wonder a few months ago. 150 Central Park and Chops are definitely worth it. Unless something has changed, they have Giovanni's instead of Jamie's. We ate there several times, it was good but not upscale. I'd like to go to Wonderland for the experience, but I'm sure I'd need another meal soon after. 🤣 Hooked and Mason Jar were good. We wish we'd gone to Mason Jar for brunch. We went for dinner, the appetizers and dessert were really good, but the entree was just ok. Same with Hooked. We live in coastal NC and have access to great seafood year round so we are pickier about seafood.

If you are bidding via RoyalUp, your bar code cabin info may help you adjust your bidding.  In this case, as you are not thrilled with your pending assignment, you many want to consider increasing your bids or perhaps bidding on additional categories.  For example, a person with an inside gty who did not initially bid on a virtual balcony might want to submit that bid if they don’t like their barcode info.  People who like the cabin in their barcode may do the opposite.

This is exactly what I plan to do on Friday when I can check-in for mine on Quantum.
