  1. Now they just need to ditch the coffee syrup and serve real brewed coffee like other lines do. Coffee has been my biggest disappointment with Princess.
  2. I am also annoyed about another type of chair hog. When buffet seating it full to the brim and people exiting buffet area with plates of food to find 1 person at a table for 4 already done eating on phone or staring out window or the party of 4 or 6 who after eating decide to start a card game. I find this type of char hog inconsiderate as there are so many places on ship to to do things other than eat. We eat and leave so others can do the same.
  3. If you buy plus when you board will Princess take from your ship board credit first?
  4. We leave on the Discovery in a week for a 7 day. Plus was $1000 more pp of course we passed. Really depends on what you get it for. Some cruises it’s a bargain it just depends.
  5. In a word no! Since relaunch it was barely worth it at $29, $39 definitely not. Now my take is only regarding the ribeye.
  6. You simply can Not! Order a ribeye in CG anymore. My last 3 have been mediocre to horrendous. Agreed a better steak can be found most nights in the buffet.
  7. This is my last offering from Crown Grill, ordered Med rare, got an almost raw cut of utility beef. Fiberous and a ridiculous amount of fat as you can see. Waiter comes by and ask how is everything and I didn’t even have to tell him he looks down at what was on my plate, shakes his head in disbelief and offers to get me another which I declined. Then his boss comes over and again ask to refire a steak. There is no doubt the quality of steak has changed. I am not asking for prime beef but a good choice would be great however my last 3 ribeyes have been select beef I’m sure of it.
  8. With the quality or lack there of the meat as of late I will save the OBC and buy my wife a bottle of Chanel. Sizzler has a better steak I’m sorry to say.
  9. It’s made with syrup, to me it’s terrible. I just can’t drink it, I have to go buy brewed coffee.
  10. Having recently retired where I had 10,000 customers the utmost important part of a companies success is “LOYALTY” it usually is just doing the little things, things that don’t really cost you much money. Trust me is cost a whole hell of a lot to find a new customer than it does to keep the ones you have feeling appreciated and happy. And to add insult to injury our cruise in 2 weeks qualifies us to Elite, was looking forward to just the brewed coffee not even the fancy ones. The ships coffee is in drinkable garbage, I only drink fresh brewed. Really disappointed. So now in the future if I sail another line here and there tell me did Princess gain or lose money over a coffee card?
  11. None of the 3 cruises over the last 4 month did.
  12. Certainly not the sufistication we are used to. More of a Carnival thing to me. Looks like a 5,000 calorie desert. Just tossing 5he kitchen sink at something does not make it premium. I'm happy with the small sundae or crembrule on the main menu.
  13. I also thought about the thousands of these things per cruise times hundreds of cruises seems like a huge waste. Here’s a thought how about a medallion that simply gets programmed to you and once you board ship it identifies you and operates like planned.
  14. A tale of two ships. We were on the Crown in Jan for 10 days. Food was pretty awful as was the service and wait times. If you wanted a burger on deck 15 it was a 30 to 45 min wait, an omelet at buffet would show up 30 min or more . Lines for dining were long and alas the food quality was poor. Just off the Discovery and in a word Amazing, food and service were top notch. Buffet was best we ever encountered with 4x the selection and imaginative dishes.
  15. Prime, Choice, Select, Standard, Utility I'm quite sure steak 8n my pic was Utility and if that's true it's criminal in a pay steak house. I just grilled some choice top sirloin and it was better than any rib eye I have had at the Crown.
  16. We just got off the Crown, One obvious change is food quality on Princess. Ships are back to full capacity now and our ship was full. Food in all venues were poor. Here is a pick of my steak from Crown grill. While I’m not expecting Morton’s, Ruth Chris or Flemmings , I should not expect select cuts of beef in the steak house. This was almost impossible to cut, was half fat and was raw. When I asked waiter to look at it he just shook his head in disbelief. The meal was comped to their credit and I did not make a stink about it, these things happen. Something certainly has changed though.
  17. Princess shows Princess plus costing $50 per day per person, you can’t but it on board on embarkation day?
  18. I'm sorry we found it mediocre at best, I would skip it and do 2 days at Crown grill.
  19. We have 2 cruises coming up, both with alot of shipboard credit. Has anyone used your credit to purchase Princess Plus?
  20. This is a golden Opportunity for a competitor to match tiers to steal loyal passenger's, if I were headof marketing for a Cruise line that's exactly what I would do.
