  1. No, magnets only stick to the front and bathroom doors and ceiling.
  2. We used the same thing for the ATW on Insignia where storage for 6 months was a premium. We also used heavy duty magnets to hold our jackets on hangers from the ceiling over the back of the couch.
  3. We’ve been to Chinois both in Venice and Beverly Hills. Both are great.
  4. I spoke with chef Mario once during a cruise and asked him why the international foods being served was so bland and lacking in the traditional tastes and spices. He replied that it was in response to meet the majority of the passengers’ preferences and that we can add additional spices to taste. I told him that I cook and I know that many spices need to be added in the cooking process, not afterwards and that I was referring to taste, not level of heat aka spiciness. Perhaps we need to note in our comments for the need for more authentic tasting food, i.e. Indian food that tastes like Indian food, but maybe not as hot/spicy, or Mexican food that doesn’t taste like Taco Bell or Asian food from Panda Express. Just a thought.
  5. We were in Rome Termini waiting for the train to take us to Trieste for our cruise, the agents were not aware of an impending strike until an hour before the strike was called. We struggled to find another way from Rome to Trieste. We ended up renting a car and making the long drive through Italy.
  6. Thank you. I’m looking forward to trying the new offerings too.
  7. Does anyone know if the drinks in the Founders Bar are included with the Prestige drink package?
  8. I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question as we have not taken our cruise yet. We were in Reykjavic in 2019 and there were at least 3 ships in port. We were on a London-London cruise and did not disembark then, but took that into consideration when I booked the transfers. At €68 for two of us, the cost is only a small fraction of what the cruise ship is charging.
  9. I pre-booked the Flybus transfer from Skarfabakki to BSI To KEF for our cruise this summer for a 630am pickup for our 1030am flight. I didn't want to chance the bus being fulland missing our flight.
  10. Thanks. I didn’t see it on those amenities on the top of each cruise offering one the itinerary and price page. Glad they didn’t cut those amenities out. I expected it to be more expensive since it was on Vista instead of Insignia.
  11. No mention of free laundry, free luggage pickup and delivery, no free medical. All benefits from the previous world cruises and at a mark up.
  12. If the ship arrives in port before 7am and if it is cleared for disembarkment anf you personally carry off your own luggage without crew help, and if your pre-arranged ride is there, you may make an 11am flight. it may work out, but there are a lot of ifs.
  13. The Simply More included beverages are wine and beer at lunch. Cocktails anytime is only included in the higher price Prestige package which used to cost $69 per day per person.
  14. There is a public bus that runs from the town center to the Alta Museum. Check with Tourist Info when you get there.
  15. I hope that you don’t cancel your cruise. We are frequent Oceania cruisers and have given up on the mass market ships after very unsatisfactory cruises on Celebrity and RCI. We have sailed on all the Oceania ships, most recently on the beautifully refurbished Riviera. We found most crew helpful and friendly, willing to do their best to keep everyone happy. Some people cannot be happy as evidence by some of the petty complaints. I understand that sometimes a piece of meat is chewy or not cooked as ordered, but that can be easily rectify. For most crew, English is not their first language and they are trying their best. Their entertainment is not Broadway caliber, but it is a small ship with a small entertainment budget. I would still rather be on an O ship than have the evening shows at RCI or other big ships. Everything’s not perfect, but you’re on vacation and the small stuff is not worth the bother.
  16. I had a little Olympia typewriter in high school in the 60's, but had to crash learn how to use a computer as a graduate student. I think I'm pretty competent on a compurt now, but it was difficult to complete all 3 visas.
  17. I can feel your pain. I went through the same frustrations as you did. The visas for Cambodia and Vietnam are equally frustrating.
  18. Perserverence is the key. You'll do it. Have a great cruise. You've really earned it now.
  19. Try seeing if a smaller pixel format for the passport (like I described for the photo) will work. Otherwise you will just have to resubmit again and again. It took me almost 3 days of submitting and resubmitting and quitting before it finally was accepted. I think their system was testing how much we wanted to go there 😀. Good luck.
  20. Can you given any specific problems you are having? The address is the name of the ship. Once you put in the postal code, all of the other addresses automatically populate. The picture has to be a small pixel size. What I did was send it to myself as small and then save to my downloads where I could attach to the form.

    Bali Visa

Yes. I just completed an Indonesian visa for our stop there in December.
  22. The postal code for Bali is 80222. Good luck. It took me 4 hours to complete and submit the info. Their website is wonky.

    Kagoshima

Thank you. It looks like a shorter walk to the nearest tram station.

We’re on Oceania Regatta. I’m hoping that they will provide a shuttle to somewhere closer to town. They have in the past, but I’m not sure where the drop off spot is.
