Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I carry what few items I don't check in a backpack. This makes it easier to throw it on and walk around. We don't check sodas, water, or anything, so we don't have much in our carry-on.
  2. Ahh ok, we cruise Carnival so we come from Puerta Maya.
  3. I didn't realize it was that close of a walk. It seemed like a 6-minute drive but it's been awhile since I went.
  4. The last time I went was Dec 21. They weren't doing anything like that then. I also didn't see anything on their website about it.
  5. I'd have to agree there, that is a bit misleading. Was it 10% before the recent price change? I can't remember what the old cost was per day.
  6. Yes, we book it in advance. Pay the deposit which I believe is $8 a person and pay the remainder when you check in. It is within walking distance but we took a cab. It was not expensive.
  7. Del Mar is great. We have been and will be going again on our next cruise.
  8. They believed that by purchasing the package early they would receive a 10% discount. 10% off of $990.38 makes it $891.34. The confusion was that by purchasing early you already receive a 10% discount off the price vs buying it onboard.
  9. I live in Houston, the only time those two pockets don't have traffic is about 1-5 AM lol
  10. Flight lands at 7:00 AM and we usually try to get the 10:00-10:30 AM boarding time. Where is the best place to chill between then? We probably won't have huge suitcases since it's only a 4 night cruise but we will have some luggage to keep up with.
  11. John said it would depend on each ship to set their own times.
  12. I'm not worried, per se. Just wondering if it was an issue really. I didn't want the line to get held up or there be issues trying to leave the ship for the two of them. If everyone is saying it is not a problem, then I am cool with that. We have just never experienced doing it this way before and it was a question that popped up between the wife and I the other night while we were getting things ready.
  13. This is what I’m wondering about. We are linked as far as companions but I think that just lets us eat together and book excursions together. The issue of my wife and daughter getting off together is what I’m trying to figure out.
  14. They were done under separate accounts. She used an offer on her log-in to book her room and then she used my log-in to book an offer under mine. So I haven't see a way to link them.
  15. I have a situation that we haven't experienced before but I know isn't unique, just not sure what to do. My wife, two kids, and I are cruising next week. To get the best value we booked two rooms on two different bookings. Her and our son in one booking, I and our daughter in the other. We have separate room numbers and separate booking numbers. At one of the stops my wife and my daughter are going on an excursion and my son and I are staying on. How does Carnival handle this? According to my booking they know nothing about my wife and son in the other room. When they scan my daughters sign and sail card and see its not me trying to take her off, how will they see that? I am sure there is a simple solution we just haven't dealt with this scenario yet.
