We have been on the Regal, so I know all about the ship. What we don't know is anything about staying and parking in the area of the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
For a Princess cruise out of Brooklyn is it better to stay near the port the night before the cruise or to stay a couple hours away and drive to the terminal parking the day of the cruise? We will be driving from Indianapolis. I have trouble finding a park and stay hotel close to the terminal. Thinking of driving to Allentown, PA rather than to Brooklyn the day prior to the cruise. Pros and cons?

We are already booked on the Harmony crossing.
The weather can be excellent but can also be awful. on the Oasis last year the Eastbound in September was excellent but the westbound in October not so good. We also crossed on the Infinity in November 2015 and the weather was terrible - the cruise had to go further south to try and miss two huge storms and we missed going to Bermuda.
Having done 10+ Transatlantics, with 4 more booked, we have had one very poor crossing, a couple when the first two or three days were rough but the majority have been good to excellent weather.
If you decide to book, the prices for transatlantics often fall after final payment. What I always do is to book the cheapest cabin I would be happy to sail in (we have a C2 on the Harmony) at a price I am happy with ($999 pp plus taxes less C&A balcony discount) and try to upgrade after final payment. The best deal we ever had was the Liberty in 2013. Booked a promenade and upgraded six weeks before sailing to a junior suite for $100 pp.

Does anyone know approximately how much time it will take the Royal to sail from Copenhagen to reach the Belt Bridge? We leave Copenhagen at 11pm and I wouldn't want sleep through passing under the bridge. Am assuming also we will be able to see approach on TV/Bridge Cam.

We are sailing on the Island for an Alaska cruisetour. I need to know if there are sufficient electrical outlets to support our "equipment" - my husband uses a scooter and we have other equipment that needs to be plugged in as well - i.e. - I am deaf and have a cochlear implant which requires recharging, last cruise we had a O2 concentrator - just want to be prepared. I plan on taking a power strip but is there a place to plug it in.

There are American style plugs in the cabins, it's a good idea to bring a 6 plug power bar, and a 12' manufactured extension cord. ;)

Would appreciate some advise on securing accessible transportation from London's Heathrow airport to a Southampton Hotel. I know I can rent a car, but would prefer less expensive options like public transportation, i.e Bus, Train, or Car Hire. There will be 2 adults with a mobility scooter and we will have 3-4 large cases.

Since my granddaughter has a nut allergy. Can any tell me (i know it's kinda of a crazy question) dothey cook french fries etc. With regular oil, vegetable or canola. I'm just concerned if we are not aware of it first hand it could spell real trouble.

My wife and I have been looking forward to a Alaska cruisetour since before we were married 10 years ago. We've realized next year is the year to do it, so I'm beginning to look at things.
I am large and so when we cruise we usually fly in on Southwest, which has the best passenger of size policy I've found.
Here's my problem: we love cruising on Princess. But the Princess cruise tours seem to start in Anchorage or Fairbanks (we're doing a land first one) and Southwest doesn't fly there. Some of the other cruise lines seem to have ones that start in Seattle or Vancouver and fly you to Alaska as part of the package.
So is there an easy way for a passenger of size to get to Alaska and do a Princess cruise tour, or would we be better off booking one of the other lines and taking advantage of the fact that they'll get us to the tour?
Or is the simplest thing to fly to Seattle and then book 2 seats on some airline that does Seattle - Anchorage (or Fairbanks, depending)?
Thoughts?
You could try Business or First class, although the price is much higher, the seats are wider!! ;)

Can anyone tell me what Princess charge for a flight upgrade to 'Premium' seats - or even if this is possible? Just a general idea would suffice, but if any of you have/are doing the full transit Panama cruise this year, then these extra costs would be doubly helpful. Thanks for your time.

You are actually better off washing your hands with soap and water. Also don't touch the handrails.
But you are right, anytime you can't get to soap and water hand sanitiser is a great alternative. If only more people were vigilant about hygiene,

As long as you have the same cabin we never had to pack up. You will as a group go through customs. But you can get off if you'd like, you just have to stay off till they start the boarding process.
And if you have a different cabin, you just pack, the crew looks after the move. :D

How about trying some self preventative measures, like buying and using hand sanitizer, a good product that we've used for years is "Germstar noro".
We buy it by the case, of 25 , 2oz. bottles. If you look it up on Google, they also have pen like bottles to carry in your purse or pocket. :D

Hi, not posted anything here before and searched to find a way of asking this query without results. :confused:
We will be embarking on the Royal Princess in Southampton after flying into Heathrow Airport. Can anyone please advise the easiest or cost effective way to get from Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 to Southampton? We will be overnighting at the Ibis Budget Hotel on arrival into Southampton.
