We booked onboard last year and transferred our booking to our travel agent here in Aus. We have also had to change our cruise. Our travel agent assures us that we will get to keep our OBC and also our beverage package we recieved. However, she said we had to make the change 150 days before the sailing. She said if we were to cancel we would also lose our deposit which is no refundable when booked onboard.

Thanks. I changed our booking and was told I could only keep the OBC as the Bev package was under the 123 promo. Not concerned about that as received Bev package and gratuities with new booking. The extra OBC, Bev package and gratuities are not showing at the moment, only the $100 that everyone is getting so will wait and see what happens. Couldn't even get cabin upgrade so not sure what value booking onboard is now. Will find out next year. 😀

Under US/North American rules, you'd get to keep the OBC for booking onboard as long as you use the same booking number., My understanding is that you'd also be able to choose one other offer. Pretty sure they count Big, Better, Best as a current pricing offer.
Sorry that I don't know the rules for Australian booking.
Jane
Hi Jane. Thanks for that. Hopefully we get to keep our OBC as well.

We made a booking for a 2017 cruise when on Solstice in March. Unfortunately we will not be able to do that now and are thinking of changing to Europe next year. We received the Bev package, cabin upgrade and OBC for the 2017 cruise for booking onboard. We could have used the OBC on our March cruise but opted to keep it for later. With the new Go Big promo does anyone know what we could expect to get if we change the booking but keep the booking reference number. Thanks

Just back legend of the seas Asia my advice don't bother the information on Asia is zero food very poor entertainment the same exscurstians very hard for elderly people read the cruise reviews about the Legend I have cruiese Rci four times never again Aussie
Thanks for that. We are fairly new to cruising. Star cruises from Singapore were our introduction and Celebrity is the only other line we have cruised on. Have wanted to try RCCL and thought Asia would be good to do that from. May have to rethink. Not elderly so excursions wouldn't be a problem. :):)

Thanks for that. I don't have long to wait then. :)

I am not sure if I have missed something but are itineraries still to be released for Asia 2016. There doesn't appear to be any sailings listed for between July and September and quite a few ships (Legend, Mariner, Voyager, Splendour, Quantum and Ovation) don't have any sailings either. I believe Quantum and Ovation are doing China but why haven't sailings been listed and does anyone know what is happening with the others. I was hoping a book an Asian cruise during those months. Any info would be appreciated.

I think there would be a good chance of seeing it. I have seen AFL games on two Celebrity cruises. Once on a Hong Kong to Singapore cruise it was shown on the TV in the cabin. The reception was a bit scratchy though. On a Mediterranean cruise we were walking through the casino and they had a game showing in there. Wish we had known it was on earlier as only saw about the last 10 minutes.
-
Was this sailing out of Southampton where the gratuity is included? Then the $9 makes sense. Out of the US it would be $8 + grat
They do the same thing with cruises out of Australia. As the Solstice was here October to April the OP may have seen a list from then.

We were on Millenium with some friends last year. On the morning of the excursion the husband was not feeling the best but got up and met the group. On the tender ride to shore he felt worse so caught the tender back to the ship. His wife continued on the excursion and they received the payment back for his excursion.

Generally a booking on courtesy hold counts as a proper booking so it should be eligible for the promotion but I would probably make the other booking to be sure. I have booked direct with Celebrity before and had to cancel for various reasons and have always received my deposit back as long as it is within the time frame. If you book through a TA they may have their own cancellation fees but not Celebrity. Enjoy your cruise.

Celebrity Solstice is a lovely ship and also does NZ cruises. Doesnt have things like rock climbing wall, wave pool etc, more of a relaxed feel to them. Their prices are quite reasonable and have a Pick Your Perk special on at the moment.
-
You can rest easy Benedictine was included in classic package on Solstice in March. They also had B&B which we became quite addicted to after dinner.

Hi packedandalready,
Can you please tell me what the balcony discount is, I have diamond status, very excited too . Just booked a balcony, no discount. .??
Thanks Deb
We just booked our first cruise as Diamond and received a $372Aus discount on our balcony. I think the US rate is $325
-
So I'm assuming with the Classic Package specialty coffee at Bacio is covered??
Yes the specialty coffees are included with the package. A lot of people mentioned the Aspen coffee on here so I had to try it when we where on the Solstice in March. It was delicious. ☕️

Those prices you quoted in US dollars?
Sorry, just realised you may have been querying MMDownunder's quote. From what I have read I believe that it is AUS $ they are quoting not including taxes and grats.
-
Those prices you quoted in US dollars?
No it is Aussie dollars. $7200 balcony includes bev package and grats on Constellation and $4700 balcony inc grats but no bev package on Ovation. Enjoy a drink but don't think price difference is worth it but do visit more ports on Constellation. Then again more sea days on Ovation gives more of a chance to explore the ship. The ongoing question, is the ship the destination?

May 26 – 14-night from Dubai to Singapore (Oman/ Muscat, India /Cochin, Malaysia /Penang) – from $1,300
Assuming itinerary is to your liking, on the prices quoted, looks like you would be better off keeping your current booking.
Prices quoted here for Australia from $200 pppd inside, $250 pppd outside, plus tips.
We also have a booking for 2017 Dubai to Singapore on Celebrity. That itinerary is better but wanted to try Ovation and it is $2500 cheaper. Plenty of time to decide.

I found this on Cruise Ship Schedule. I'd would like to do the 52 night itinerary but my husband said 'in your dreams'... It didn't have information on the Australian Itineraries.
http://www.cruiseshipschedule.com/royal-caribbean/ovation-of-the-seas-schedule/
After its launch in April 2016, Ovation of the Seas’ Inaugural cruise will be almost “around the world” voyage – 52-night long itinerary (officially called “Global Odyssey”) from UK to China (Southampton to Tianjin) with Suez Canal transition. This repositioning maiden voyage will be divided into the following segments:
April 17 – 5-night round-trip from Southampton to France (Cherbourg, Le Havre /to Paris) and Belgium (Zeebrugge .to Bruges) – prices from $1000 PP
April 22 – 7-night round-trip from Southampton to Spain (Gijon, Bilbao), UK / Channel Islands (Guernsey) and Le Havre (to Paris) – from $1,460
May 3 – 52-night from Southampton to Tianjin/Beijing
May 3 – 7-night from Southampton to Barcelona (Gijon, Vigo, Gibraltar) – from $1,180
May 10 – 16-night from Barcelona to Dubai (Civitavecchia /to Rome, Naples, Piraeus /to Athens, Suez Canal transit, Jordan /Aqaba) – from $1,550
May 26 – 14-night from Dubai to Singapore (Oman/ Muscat, India /Cochin, Malaysia /Penang) – from $1,300
June 9 – 3-night round-trip from Singapore to Malaysia (Klang /to Kuala Lumpur) – from $450
June 12 – 12-night from Singapore to Tianjin (port to Beijing) – visits Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City), China (Hong Kong /overnight stay), Japan (Naha), South Korea (Incheon) – prices from $1600.
We booked the May 26 segment a couple of weeks ago as thought Singapore would be as close as a quantam class got to us. Not sure what to do at the moment. Will wait and see itineraries and prices. Decisions decisions.

I'm Australian. We don't tip, we just pay people decent wages and expect them to do what they get paid to do. It's simple and it works.
Please don't start this whole thing again. Yes at home we pay hospitality staff a decent wage but at times I find that frustrating as the service we get can be almost non existent. Trying to get their attention when some would rather stand around and chat is annoying. When in Rome etc. On cruise ships and in the States we tip as we understand the way the system works and would never think of removing the gratuities as it is hurting the worker not the company.

Thanks for that. 😊

We are booked on Ovation in May next year. This will be our first Royal Caribbean cruise but are Elite with Celebrity. We have booked My Time dining (I think that is what is was called). My question is do you have to make a booking for our dinner time beforehand or can you do it onboard. You could do either with Celebrity but thought maybe with the larger number of passengers this may not be possible. Also what sort of entertainment do you need to book. Thank you for any help you can give.

Hi guys, don't know if you can help my questions however here goes.
My wife and I are from Australia and wishing to do our first Celebrity Cruise either 2016 or 2017. We are thinking of either the 14 night Celebrity Eclipse, southern Caribbean or a Mediterrean cruise. If we go to the Caribbean we would most probably go in February/March, and if we go to the Med it would be late May or early September.
My questions are.
Would we be eligible for the 123 promo as set out above if we book by the 28th February as described below, or is this promo just for American cruisers.
Second question is if we decide to do one of the cruises early than stated on this 123 promo, when is the cutoff time when you can cancel and rebook without penalty.
Thanking you so much for any info.
Cheers Bob & Christine
As it currently stands this promotion is available in Australia finishing on 28 Feb for bookings up to April 2017. I assume it would change to the same as listed at start of this thread but they don't always match.
As far as cancelling and rebooking without penalty it depends on who you book with. If you make your booking with Celebrity you can do that up to about 90 days before cruise (can't remember exactly but I know it is around then as have done it it myself). If you book through a TA you would have to check their T&C.
I hope this helps

The website is showing $ for $ still
Unfortunately this changed a couple of days ago. The current rate is $32Aus for $25US
Cancelling a booking made onboard
in Celebrity Cruises

We have previously booked on board but then had to cancel the cruise and we moved the booking number to a different cruise. All the bonuses went with the new booking. Is there a cruise you can transfer the booking to
