  1. Hi,

I have done 1 B2B and that was in Tampa. I did not have to get off the ship. I was able to walk around the whole ship and right before they were to start boarding the ship I was paged to the atrium bar and given my new S&S card. Also a picture was taken and I was offered a drink at the bar.

I know each port is different and I have not been able to find anything on Port Canaveral. I am expecting I will need to get off the ship and they will tell me what I need to bring with?

    Thanks in advance!!!

Has anyone done any B2B in Cape Canaveral? Not necessarily the Liberty?

  3. new Homewood suites is across the road from the Residence Inn, Radisson at the Port, and the Country Inn and Suites. All comments about proximity of these places to what you want applies.

You are about 1/2 mile from 'the Cove' but walking after dark is not recommended. A large grocery and ABC liq store are about a mile down A1A. There is a local (mom and pop) liq store that delivers (but not huge wine selection)

HS is directly across from Residence Inn

Thanks! I am going to ask the driver to see if they can stop at a package store for me, Then I will probably take an Uber to the Cove area.

  4. If it is the one I'm thinking off. You'll be a good distance from anything .

A car or using a taxi will be best mode. How are you getting to the hotel ?

I am flying into MCO and taking a limo sedan to the hotel. I am wondering if the driver would stop at a package store for me so I can get my wine. But I do have to figure out dinner and all that,

  5. I am staying here before my cruise and was wanting to get some information about the local scene. Are there bars or restaurants around? Or shopping? Package stores so I can get my wine for the cruise? I called the hotel and looked at the website but I though maybe someone that has stayed there would have a better insight from staying there. I am going solo so if things are farther then walking distance I would just Uber it. Thanks so much in advance!!!!

  6. I am sorry this happened to you and I might just get blasted for my response. I purchased my first Effy piece in 2008 in Grand Cayman, diamond studs. I wear them ALL day Everyday I take them off to clean and go back on. Never an issue. I have purchased on the Splendor just recently a Tanzanite ring, earrings necklace and bracelet. I wear them often and not a problem. Even my other cheaper pieces are holding up really well. I have blue diamonds from Effy and LOVE them no issues. Unfortunately what happened to you might have happened with ANY jewelry company. Like the post about Diamonds International ring. You never know. Just like a car, you could get a lemon. And ALL car companies have lemons. And as someone else said if they were to replace a stone for everyone they would go bankrupt. Unfortunately you will need to be persistent and it is quite frustrating. But to say not to buy from Effy due to your circumstance is not fair. It is your opinion and my opinion so to each there own.

  7. I just bought Cheers for our cruise next week. Will it be already be encoded on my card or do I have to do something to activate it onboard?

Hi When I purchased mine ahead of time on my last cruise it was on the card already. All I had to do is give them my card and pay the tax while in port. You should be good to go!! They did not put a sticker on my card. I always bring my confirmation that I did order just in case,,,, you never know lol

  9. A question came to my head as I was looking at the beverages for purchase before your cruise from the fun shops. If you have the cheers package are you still able to purchase from the fun shops before hand? Trust me 15 is plenty for me. I think I have reached it twice on 3 cruises. Its those frozen drinks by the pool that get you since there is not that much alcohol in them. But I was just wondering. I'm just ordering water.

We went swimming in both Freeport and Nassau. Water was colder in Nassau for some reason but not terrible. Weather was around 84.

  11. So I have been on a few cruises lol. But I have always been on Riviera or Main midship or forward. I changed my cabin for my upcoming B2B on the Liberty and was just wondering what people's thoughts were being this high. I have heard different things that the higher you go you feel the ship more but then people also say the opposite. Any advice would be appreciated!!!

  12. We leave for Nassau on Jan 8th. We kept getting warned about it being "not so warm there" that time of year also, but coming from -10 in Chicago it will be like a heat wave for us ;) . Have fun on your cruise. We booked the day pass at Melia Resort.

Hi! The Melia looks great! I went to the site but I am not sure how to book a day pass? Thank you!!!

  13. Out of the two i would take 6204. Why is this your only 2 choices? If you hit rough waters you will feel the most motion being so far foward. Food and pools are in the back so you will have quite a trek a few times each day

I was trying to find a option with a window with out actually paying for ocean view. But I think I may just go with a interior and just enjoy that. Thank you!!!

  14. Simplest and most efficient way to handle it. Even simpler is inject prior to or after the cruise. B12 does not need to be on an exact date.

Hi. I actually does matter on the date. Not to be rude here but I have to take a shot twice a month and If I am a couple days off I start to feel the difference and get very fatigue. It maybe fine for other people to be late a few days but not me. Trust me if I could wait or do it early I would. Not exactly something I want to do on vacation.

  15. Hi,

So I have called Carnival a couple times and no one seems to know exactly what is best. I have to give myself a B12 injection in the middle of the cruise. I have the needle labeled with the prescription information as well as the actual vial of B12. My question is how to dispose of the needle. I am not going to bring my sharps container with me or buy one for 1 needle. I was thinking maybe I could go to the infirmary and give to them or actually do the injection there so they see it? I have never had to deal with this before. Any insight would help,

    Thanks!!!

(Oh and can/should I bring that on the ship in my carry on?)

  16. Currently my parents have cabin 9311 booked on the Vista which is below the Lido. There was not much to choose from. The only other cabin left are on deck 6 from cabin 6112 to 6240 and 6217 to 6249. I see that this is above the theater or backstage of the theater. Which would be better as far as noise? They usually do pick cabins in the middle and deck 6 are in the front of the ship. I do not have experience with this because I always book deck 1 or 2 (the cheep cabin lol ;) Any advise would be appreciated!!!!

  17. Your best bets are SAS Transportation (I always use them) if your flight into FLL is not too late in the day, or Jiffy Jeff (people love them too). Both are about $15 per person. Their websites have the details for you.

    Thank you so much!!!!

  18. Hi,

I am flying in on the 26th of this month into FLL and need to get to a hotel in Miami. I know last year I took a shuttle from FLL to the same hotel and I want to say it was like $15.00. I cannot find anything online or in my email. Everything is 35+ even Uber. Does anyone know of any other shuttle services? I have super shuttle and GO shuttle quotes now. I just really cannot recall the service I used and cannot find anything,

    Thank you in advance.

  19. Love the info on this thread! We also cruise often but this October are doing a week in Aruba-staying at the Renaissance because of their private island (visited on a previous cruise). I'm busy making notes of all the suggestions from all the Aruba threads because you can always depend on the CC people
