  1. This is finally a *real* sale. Book now while it lasts... Oh, and not just excursions. For example, the deal or no deal cards are cheaper too.
  2. Another update on the wifi...the $10 appears to be for any length. I have a 9 and a 14 days cruise...$10 for those too. And the verbiage is for entire sailing, and notice it say $9.99 *per package*
  3. I literally just got of the phone doing exactly this for a sold out cruise
  4. No, but my guess is you turn it in or go to guest services/wifi desk once onboard and get upgraded. But I guess I need to make sure it isn't only for one day or something... Edit: it does say "full sailing, 7 days" on my order...
  5. Anyone looking to upgrade WiFi, it's only $10 *total* to upgrade from basic to premium...
  6. Yeah, I keep seeing people say that. I haven't sailed Princess before so wasn't sure if these were special smoothies like the special desserts.
  7. Well, I think at least one thing changes, right? You don't get the medallion shipped for free...although this changes for everyone. It's a little confusing because the new Plus includes the free shipping (plus deserts, fitness classes, and smoothies) but the old one doesn't. But you are 100% right...nothing changes with what you've bought. However, it may not be clear to some that you don't get the free shipping (if that even matters). I know there's another thread about it, but honestly I don't see where the $10pppd value comes in...
  8. If that's what it is then, yes, us too. Seems like a lot of work to track this.
  9. I'm glad you asked this because I'm confused too. I got an email saying I can keep what I have (Princess Plus) or "upgrade" to the new packages. But the new packages except for deserts and fitness classes (which seem kind of at odds with one another on a cruise) seem to be identical to the old ones. Oh yeah, smoothies too. So I'm not sure what I get by upgrading, and why they told me about gratuities going up if they are covered by Plus. This is what the email says... You'll be able to upgrade to the new or keep the old at the current price We wanted you to be the first to hear that we're adding brand-new experiences and offerings to our existing packages ❯. What's new: Princess Plus — now $60 per day per guest! · premium desserts · Juice Bar (smoothies and juices) · fitness classes · free Medallion® device shipping* Princess Premier — now $80 per day per guest! · premium desserts · Juice Bar (smoothies and juices) · fitness classes · free Medallion device shipping* · reserved theater seating · Medallion accessory *Free Medallion device shipping to US residents only. We'll share more details later, but for now know that you'll be able to keep your current Plus or Premier package at the existing price or upgrade to the new enhanced package. After all, we know you love options! New packages go on sale starting December 14 and apply to cruises sailing February 20, 2023, and beyond.^
  10. Yeah, but what about the return flight? You might not have needed it, but I'm guessing that is too early...
  11. FWIW, I did a mock booking and was able to select flights. Hopefully the wait when you call will be short...
  12. Which TA are you sailing on? I see 3...the last leaving 10/30 which is probably too early to pick flights for.
  13. You might need to wait a few more days. I think 330 (or so) days is when you pick a flight. Perhaps the first leg is available but not the return?
  14. Racist is a stretch. The simpler and more likely answer is incompetence of the IT staff. Give them a call and see if they can register you over the phone...
  15. Thanks. I guess my problem is I booked on a Tuesday...should have booked Wed or Mon 🙂
  16. All, to follow up for anyone else searching this thread. I called back again and got a rep a little more knowledgeable (or seemingly so). He said there is a new policy and the OBC doesn't show until final payment. That's fine with me...gives me 90 days to yell at them if there is a problem. Again, this is *new*, so if you booked a while back, you'll probably see the OBC.
  17. Thanks...this is what I assumed. I will have to call back again and get it added.
  18. I'm being told now that MSC doesn't apply this, or even show it on your booking, until you are on the ship. This is for booking 9-12mo in advance. I'm "assured" it will show up once I'm onboard, even though nothing is in writing saying I'm getting it. Every time I've sailed MSC and been told something would be taken care of onboard, guess what...it wasn't. So, anyone else booking 12mo in advance hear this same thing?
  19. All, thank you for the prompt and detailed answers. You've all been very helpful.
  20. LOL, this is madness. I understand it's a separate line, but Carnival (which has a 15 drink limit on alcohol) works completely differently. They print the number of drinks (once you've hit 10) on your receipt. I've also never been asked to sign a non-zero receipt and be told it will come off. I would think that would cause all sorts of confusion (like you said the BTs spending the first day explaining it.
  21. Were you asked to sign the receipt with the dollar amount on it?
  22. Thank you. Were you able to get the double charge (you and your husband on the same card) taken care of at guest services? Crazy they can't tell you the limit...
