  1. MCCretired, I have no idea why you think I violated CC rules by starting this thread. I simply asked if anyone had information regarding an upcoming sale. Looking at the posts, no specific TA is mentioned.

    What am I missing?

You did nothing wrong...didn't ask about a TA name just any info about sale

  2. I agree, the Elite laundry perk is abused often.

I totally agree also! We were on the California Coastal the first week of May and the cabin next to us was having their adult children drop off clothing every morning bright and early. They were a pretty large group that we got wedged in between and sadly some of the obnoxious elites that went as far as to yelling across our balcony to remind their group to bring the laundry over for them to send out with the reminder that momma got it free . We had an AWESOME cabin steward that stopped me to say he would grab my laundry when he caught me out early running a quick load to the laundromat as i needed clothing back sooner than the 3 day turn around notice showed. Mother dearest was behind me and promptly announced ..."how sad...I don't have to do laundry...I'm Elite!". I do not leave my name tag up...I have never felt the need for neighbors to know my name nor what color card I carry....I finally couldn't take her behavior and popped my card out of my pocket to end the topic quickly.

  3. I would LOVE to do the Manatee sightings... I will definitely check that out. Thanks!

There are also several pontoon boat style tour groups that do the tours also. The only one I have used personally is on Ramp Rd in Cocoa Beach. I booked it for our cousin and she loved it...fully covered boat if you are sun sensitive.

  4. Check your stateroom account sheet. You may have received a credit at embarkation. I noticed on the first day of our 4/29 coastal a government port tax credit had been issued for $7.01 pp. We did make it into Astoria on day 4....but when i asked at the purser's desk the young lady explained that the credit was related to Astoria and an arrangement with the port that had been made. Now...that being said we did the same itinerary as you(San Pedro, San Fran, Astoria, Victoria, Vancouver)...we had paid 153+ in port charges and cruisers that booked after us had paid in the 140's and did not receive the same credit.

  5. We will also be on a cruise with Port Canaveral as our first stop. Most of the threads I can find discuss PC as a departure port not a stop. What can we do there?

We have already done airboat rides (twice) been to Kennedy Space Center. We really are not interested in taking 1 1/4 hr each way trip to Disney. There has to be something to do that I am missing? Thanks!

Depending on the time of year...there are jet ski tours of the mangroves with manatee encounters. Hubby and I do it once to twice a year. Last two were with a company on E Merritt Island Causeway. There is another good company in south Cocoa Beach....both usually run groupons or living social specials. It's not an all day thing...but fun outing on the water.

  6. Hi,all flight changes are emailed to the 3rd party agent ie easyair or in our case expedia, who in turn should contact you immediately. If the 3rd party do not contact you with the alternative options they are incompetant. You cannot deal with the airline directly regarding these problems.Cheers,Brian.

It still requires the air carrier to send an email to the third part vendor....like I said....30 days before United ever notified me of a 2 hr change in flight departure and still no email from last weeks change and I booked direct. They have my personal email, business email, husbands email and all cell numbers.....

  7. It's a bit different.... not a lot of fan fare and much more staggered boarding. Keep in mind people are boarding right till the cut off with people arriving from the land portion transfers offered by Princess. I liked that it was a relaxed day on our trip.

  8. No, it is not always bad service. I will say this as to your "EZ air" issue....that is an airline issue not Princess. They are no different then booking with a third party vendor. I leave Friday for LA and did not book EZ Air and both Delta and United changed my flight times and flight numbers without notification. Delta finally emailed 2 weeks after I discovered it and United's first change was sent an email 30 days later and have yet to receive an email about the latest change I found last week! United chose to cancel multiple flights leaving Vancouver leaving me no options and they could have cared less.

  9. Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is open till 8pm so it is doable. I will say this...there are always line for the Harry Potter rides...so that is totally your call. I would sure on line for some of the Universal fan sites to see about options to speed things up. From the airport I can make it to Universal in 20 minutes. KSC on your return day with a rental is easy and no worries about your luggage....KSC is VERY safe and monitored.

  10. Just an FYI....there are 2 La Quinta lodges in the Cocoa beach area. The name of the one furthest from the port(about 10miles south) is a bit misleading calling itself La Quinta Cocoa Beach-Port Canaveral. La Quinta Cocoa Beach Ocean Front is the one closest to the port and adjacent to the Cocoa Beach Pier.
