  1. We split our holidays about 50/50 ,cruises to flyaway, or land based UK holidays. Most short breaks are UK hotels. We like them all, but it's fair to say that when we go to bed in a Cornish hotel, we wake up ,open the curtains....Still in Cornwall.
  2. We are off to that Dorset soon. About two hours. A very nice hotel, but we have found they don't move about as much as a ship.🤣
  3. When lockdown finished , we drove to Southampton for 3 ,4, and 7 night stay cation cruises and It takes us over an hour to get to Southampton.🤣
  4. We will be taking the train over to Soller in June.
  5. On Silhouette we ate in the MDR every night. It wasn't that the meals were much superior to P&O, ok a bit better. It was just that the specialities were so expensive.
  6. On Silhouette to the Fjords last year hot drinks and pastries were served to the table In the buffet during breakfast. We paid £1300pp for a balcony Including drinks, tips and WiFi, so not a massive price difference.
  7. Perhaps Miller and Carter. I think Chops plates would be a giveaway.
  8. On Celebrity, the buffet staff bring trays of pastries around the buffet at breakfast and tea/coffee. I forgot all about that. Hmmmm, that got me thinking.🤔
  9. Starbucks in Stavanger was about the same cost as London.
  10. Recently we have been on Britannia and twice on Azura. No queues.
  11. Classic. Here's mine from Azura. Your bacon is nicer.🤣
  12. If its a cruise, it isn't P&O. Prawns are not that big in MDR.
  13. But it's not really a problem, is it?.🤔
  14. On Azura and Britannia there was a whole TV channel showing Shawn the sheep programs. As I have seen them all, we sat on the Balcony in the sunshine instead.
  15. Sorry, don't know what concentrate it comes from, but it smells a bit like antifreeze. Some of my Margaux's are getting a bit old, so a small dose of a sparkling Blue Nun livens them up a bit.
  16. As an expert, any advice on the correct temperature to serve a nice Blue Nun. I asked my Son, who is a MW. He said " sorry Dad ", we didn't cover that one.
  17. You may well be black balled.🤣
  18. It seems you may get an answer if the question is about art classes. One or two post in the last week or so.
  19. I use chrome normally ,did this morning on P&O. I switched to Firefox for CC when it started playing up on chrome. Browsers do seem to make a difference.
  20. We are off into town shortly. We will probably pop into Wetherspoons for lunch. If we were going to Guildford we would probably go into the Ivy. Different days, different Choices. Are we prepared to pay double or triple for the Saga " experience ". Not at the moment. Possibly when I grow up.
  21. I drive a premium car, but like P&O. We fly club, but won't spend extra, a lot extra to cruise with Saga. Is Saga better than Viking ?. That is the right comparison. Value for money is important to us. Is Chewton Glen better than Balmer lawn ?. Discussions on the Saga thread are getting busy. 2 today and one last week. Perhaps that is where Discussions should be, not IMVHO clogging up the P&O threads.
  22. Irony?. Some of them have never been ironied. They melt.
  23. Things get moved there.
