We pay more than that for a one night cruise on Britanny ferries. No food, but we can take the car.

Our Britannia Caribbean is now £700 cheaper than when we booked, but with £220 less OBC. Net £480 lower. If we cancel and rebook we lose £477 deposit. No brainer, but we will continue checking occasionally up to final payment date. Perhaps we will cancel, perhaps not, but we won't be booking early again. Once bitten twice shy.

We aren't too bothered about the size of the ship. In our opinion Britannia is about right, Azura a bit small. When we got on Iona, this is big. Just an observation, all are fine. We have been on NCL and RC of all shapes and sizes ,all were fine. We consider Celebrity Eclipse and Silhouette as medium size. TBH the size of the ship is quite a way down our list of priorities.

We stopped in Martinique once. After a lecture from the tour guide on the evils of slavery and how ashamed we should be, followed by me asking her why she thought it was OK to throw her plastic cup over the side of the trip boat, we parted company with the wonderful French Caribbean. ABC islands are great. We call at B&C in December. A last time.

We ate in Cafe Rouge on Saturday. Same menu as before Christmas. We booked without even looking at the menu.

Chesney Hawkes was surprisingly good. We only went for him as he was £3 cheaper than Gareth Gates.

Like most ' Chain ' restaurants on land. Introducing our new spring/summer etc menu. They change a few times a year. If P&O change the menu every 3 days, that's well done to them isn't it ?.

On Britannia is started as 3, then dropped down to 2. Last time the choice was Eric and Ern, or 4 poofs and a piano. We went for the poofs on the basis of a covid infection may affect the act. They would probably carry on with 3 poofs. We didn't like the original Eric and Ern, but an either or tribute , no thanks.

We fly out on Tuesday and join Azura on Thursday for a week around Grease ( sic ) and Turkey, then back to Malta for another night. I must look up the name of the hotel. Since you mentioned Kraoke it gone right out of my ........?...It might be hotel california. I hope the driver of the big yellow taxi knows...." head".

I really hope you enjoy your cruise. I suspect you will. We don't have an allegiance, having sailed with P&O, Celebrity and RC since you know what stopped scuppering plans. That's 7 cruises 7 UK self catering and a few fly aways. I'm sure P&O will welcome you still. As we all get older, they need some new blood, that's fine as long as they evolve at the right pace. Off to Malta on Tuesday. I won't wear a Zap hat.......just in case.🤣

Just been discussing our remaining P&O 2023 cruises. We will be eating in Beach house, glass house, MDR and the " Canteen ". We will miss out Sindhu and Epicurian as those menus are getting a bit samey. The MDR 'experience" is not that important to us, but in the Caribbean will probably eat in there over half the time and we will find quite an acceptable meal.

It's a self select restaurant not a canteen. In a canteen, cook dollops a ladle full of gruel onto your tray. Disparaging descriptions don’t advance the discussion.

We are off next week on a TA deal on Azura. £726pp balcony, 3 nights hotel and BA flights. As our Britannia Caribbean in December is now about £600 less than we paid, we won't be booking any P&O cruises well in advance.
