  1. We want to visit a few beaches for an hour or so each. Warwick and, horseshoe beach are on our list as is Elbow beach. I think we want to bus from port. Which one is nearest to port? Warwick? If we get off there, is the path down to the beach clearly marked? How far & how steep? Do multiple beaches offer the shuttle or only be? Which one?

After the beach, we plan to walk around Hamilton and then ferry back. Or would you do Hamilton first, then beaches then back to ship?

  2. Not sure what you are watching but almost every category and every May sailing on Breakaway has dropped dramatically over the past 6 weeks. First a little and then a lot last week. It is not filling up as expected. They are also coming down ( although not as dramatically) for end of June which is a week most schools are already let out. That to me indicates, we'll see breakaway drop further for summer cruises and fall cruises.

Last week of August is always a somewhat discounted sailing ( compared to rest of the summer) because it is hurricane season and because many kids are back in school. I think you'll see prices come down.

And, yes, of course, October will be even cheaper.

  3. What is the price for a cabana? And does that include the admission or is it $79 pp in addition to cabana cost? If cabana cost includes admission, for how many? 2 or could we have 3 share the cabana? Cabana comes with F&B credit, right? How much?

  4. I tried to read the whole thread sorry if I missed this. Does anyone have a sense of the cost of frozen drinks like a piña colada, margarita or mudslide? Would they be included in the classic package? How about mixed drinks like cosmos, apple Martinez, mojitos?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. My 13 yr old was as shy as could be. Never liked kids clubs and didn't want to go to the one on our Epic med cruise last year. Made him go first night. He became a diff person- wanted to be in there every second and came home with an " award"- " most likely to be missed" voted by all 60 or so teens in the program.

  6. We did this last year. There were more kids than you can even imagine! Flooded with kids. But our kid, 13, had a great time. Most Europeans speak some English so language was not an issue and meeting kids from all over the world ( "they are so much more interesting than the boring kids from NY") was a highlight for him.

  7. Epic drink prices were $5-7 for a beer, $6-10 for a glass of wine $6-7 basic mixed drink, $7-8 for frozen drink, $8-10 for "fancier" drinks/ martinis. Those prices are before gratuity added. I would bet Breakaway will be similar if not a little higher given sailing out of NYC where those prices would be on the lower end of typical

  8. To comment on the last point, I think the adult areas on the DCL ships (especially Dream and Fantasy) are awesome. Unlike most NCL ships, DCL actually has an entire pool area for adults only and it is very relaxing. The bars/clubs on DCL were great for adults. Very well-done. Other than the casino being missing, I really do think there are plenty of things for adults to do on the DCL including some great evening events and musicians and the bars are just gorgeous with excellent drinks (priced cheaper than NCL if I remeber correctly althogh not by too much)

  9. Rooms are way better on Disney. Service and food fairly equal with Disney a slight edge. Entertainment is also better on Disney although both are good. For a 4 yr old, the kid's clubs with Disney are completely without compare- they are that much better. Once kids get to be 12+, I think the tween/teen programs are equivalent. If you are only going to cruise once or twice, do Disney now with the 4 yr old. At that age, I do think it is worth the premium.
