  1. I am a rules man also. If you are allocated a time, that is when you should arrive. Why not contact Seabourn and explain why it is not suitable and ask for a change. By not arriving when asked, all you are doing is inconveniencing those arriving at their due time.
  2. Tagliatelle with lobster appetiser and has been said the fantastic bread sticks.
  3. Ovation and Encore are basically the ship. There are a few suites (6/8 i think) which don't have a bath. I think that could be the difference.
  4. Hi. Hopefully we wont need it but can you confirm there is now a self use laundry room on board Encore. At worst we may need an iron/board.
  5. Sailed twice on Ovation. Excellent. Just finished a trip on Celebrity. It was fine but it reminded me why I like smaller ships!
  6. Just back from Celebrity Cruise in Aqua class. I had all things mentioned included but booked so long ago probably paid for separately for them. We had premium drinks package but think if you have all included package you will need to upgrade for premium drinks. Not convinced Aqua class worth it. Blu restaurant was lovely and service great but food was very average. Poor choice and very small portions. There seems to be an assumption that people in Aqua travel that way because they are on a health kick😁.
  7. On a trip finishing in Copenhagen 2019 the ship didn't Dock in the city but a port 40 or so miles away. Last minute decision. We were bussed to the centre of Copenhagen and dropped off in the rain to find a taxi! It was very annoying as we had arranged for a taxi to pick us up. They may have made different arrangements for people flying that day however. It is a city worth staying over in however so why not extend your stay.
  8. I will be cruising on the Encore in 5 weeks or so. To my fellow guests can I apologise up front. You see I am from Scotland and obviously (based on comments from a pair of English Idiots on this thread) I will have a complete lack of class! Thankfully the many lovely English friends I have met on cruises over the years have managed to put up with me. To make it easier for you all to avoid me I will wear a tartan hat and eat shortbread, haggis and drink copious amounts of whisky while whistling Oh Flower of Scotland.
  9. Thanks. Hopefully we will enjoy menu on offer.
  10. We are soon to be on the Eclipse. If we don't like the menu and they cant serve MDR menu in BLU can we simply go to MDR?
  11. Its ok if you are from USA. Being from UK my card card is charged in £sterling, converts to US$ and charges a fee. Refund loses on exchange rate. Just about to travel with Celebrity. Booked trips and OBC used. Much easier.
  12. Isn’t it interesting how we are all different? Cant recall ever having a bad meal on a cruise. Some things better than others. We are not fussy so know we will always find something we like. Just looking for variety I am sure we will be fine. Thanks for all comments
  13. Thanks all for taking the time to respond. Thanks in particular to Jenjohncourt and Pinksandgirl who appear to have answered my question. We are on Eclipse sailing from Vancouver. Not saying we wont like the menu in Blu but like to keep our options open. Normally sail on much smaller ships (Seabourn) and as such prefer a smaller restaurant. The evening meal is in many ways our evening entertainment so want the best available in the best environment. Thanks again.
  14. Traveling Aqua Class which gives access to Blu Restaurant. I you don’t like the menu any evening can you order from the main restaurant menu and have it served in Blu?
