  1. What is everyone's favorite food on Symphony? We were on Oasis in June and have an idea of what things we might like, but always open to suggestions. Also, any other tips for Symphony?
  2. Can all 4 devices be used at the same time if one person purchases the package.
  3. Or do I do it just under my name, with 4 devices?
  4. We are a family of 4 and want to get the internet package. When selecting everyone in my family it asks about number of devices. If we all have 1 device, do I pick 1 or 4? When I pick 4 the price jumps pretty significantly...
  5. It's been a while... last time we caused was June and I remember needing COVID tests before boarding. My understanding is that is gone and we don't need that anymore. Can someone confirm? Also, I have been super busy with work and family and never got any time to do some ship research. Any hot tips for Symphony from anyone? I was on Oasis in June so I am pretty sure it's the same exact ship, just different name. Any tips at all would be great. Thanks everyone and happy cruising!
  6. Has anyone done any of the beach excursions in St. Maarten? My wife and I have 2 boy who will be 12 and 10 when we are there and we aren't sure which beach excursion to book. Looking for any and all feedback. Thanks!
  7. I just got off the Oasis and feel like posting a review would be redundant as there are many reviews out there. Instead I wanted to give some tips and tricks we found that could hopefully pass along to other cruisers. If you have a tip or trick that I missed, please add to this post. Thanks! 1. If you go to park cafe and ask, they will give you bags of lays product potato chips. I noticed the chips changed daily, and sometimes they had two types of chips. But if you ask, they will give you as many as you would like. Fun way to keep a surprise snack in the cabin for our kids. 2. When entering the Windjammer, I found that walking past all the food, to the back tables by the sports deck, make a right and go around the bend. There is a whole second section of food with mostly everything being the same (I noticed a carving section missing one lunch). This was a way to get food without a crowd. 3. Our room was across the boat from the kids club. This left me multiple routes to get there. After testing each and every floor, we found it was significantly faster to go to deck 5 and walk across the promenade to get to the opposite side of the boat. Whenever I needed to get somewhere fast, deck 5 was always the fastest. 4. Bonus USB port. If you need another place to charge your phone in your room (the 3 prong thing in our room was a mess. The two outside prongs always fell out but the middle worked fine), use the TV! On the right side of the TV there is a USB port. You can plug your usb portion of your charge in there and charge your phone that way. Worked all cruise long for us. 5. Bonus tip: If you like garlic on your pizza like I do, Bring a container of granulated garlic or garlic salt with you on board. I feel like this is the one thing that Sorrento's is missing! Looking forward to reading any other tips you guys end up having. Happy cruising every one.
  8. Just an update. None of my bids were accepted (some of them were hefty bids). The ship was full so I think that played a role. Weirdest thing, they had an aqua view balcony that was open. My guess is no one bid or they didn't like the bids they got on it. They had a bingo draw for the suite. So I guess sometimes there is a way to update mid cruise through bingo? I figured it would have sucked to repack and move... but I played anyway and missed it by 1 number...
  9. I’m currently on deck 7 and the chopped off elevators haven’t bothered me all cruise. Benefit of 7 is when it’s’ Aqua 80, you can walk to end of cabins and sneak out to the climbing wall. Was able to grab chairs for show without a reservation and avoided the long stand by line…
  10. Currently on board Oasis. Here we their hours which can be found in the Royal app when on board.
  11. Would upping my bid at this point change anything? I noticed on some of the bids, the minimum price moved up
  12. So it sounds like I still have a chance? It's currently 7:31 am and no rejection email yet. All 3 of my bids are still pending...
  13. I'll be on the boat as well! Still holding out hope that one of my Royal Up bids gets accepted. Enjoy the cruise and looking forward to the review!
  14. Cruise leaves tomorrow. It's 11:18 PM and all three of my Royal Up bids are pending... no idea if that even matters. If I get an upgrade, I'll report it back here. Currently in a balcony room and bidding on an Ultra Spacious ocean view with large balcony (I want the bunk beds for my kids), a 1 bedroom grand suite and a 2 bedroom grand suite...
  15. Wednesday is the 48 hour mark for me.... I'm a fair amount over minimum even though it still says my offer is weak.... really hoping we get the upgrade.
  16. one more question. we are a family of 4. If our bid is accepted, all members move with us, correct?
  17. How can you see locations of rooms available?
  18. Thank you everyone, these replies have been helpful and are inline with the strategy I am using for my cruise on the 24th on the Oasis.
  19. I guess I am wondering if everyone bids minimum? Is there a suggested level to bid at? I know they have this meter there and I'm sure it is a gimmick to get you bid more. Just curious if bidding the minimum or slightly over works
  20. Has anyone ever made a bid on Royal Up that was accepted? Curios to learn about others who have successfully used this program and what their experiences have been.
  21. I saw a video online and they talked about the Solarium Bistro doing omelet's in the morning... 7:43 of the video it talks about doing omelet station there.
  22. I am going to be on the Oasis for the first time at the end of the month. Any tips for restaurants on embarkation? I'd prefer to skip the windjammer if possible and was thinking El Loco Fresh, but I'm open to all ideas. Also, any Oasis of the Seas tips and tricks for myself, my wife and my 9 and 11 year old would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
