  1. Although Breeze is relatively new it is missing some of the things on their other ships. They are adding such things as the Alchemy Bar etc., you should be fine in March as it's last cruise from Galveston is the week of April 9 and it returns April 30th. :)

Just enjoyed a terrific cruise on board.

  2. Progresso itself is a typical Border Town, but the trip to Merida (Beautiful City) is really interesting,

also The largest Mayan ruins Chitzen Itsa and Uxmal are available from Progresso. If you are

a beach person, or love to shop Cozumel is for you.:)

Triumph is a great ship the crew are awesome, we were on this ship 20 times when it was in Galveston, have a great cruise, and if you are lucky enough to have Capt. Alessandro Lemmi he is great.

  3. Carnival issued a statement that people on the may 21st cruise will have their cruise cut by

one day while she sits in Galveston so they can start to finalize the fixing of the problem. People can board the ship and be on board that day, receive a $100 credit, or a refund if they are not happy. Unfortunately this will not finalize what needs to be done, so tugs have been ordered for the month of June so that they can dock in Cozumel. Hope this helps:)

  4. I fell down stairs 4 days before my cruise, the orthopedist said I couldn't stand or put my foot to the ground and when I told him I was flying to San Juan in4 days he had a fit. I rented a wheelchair from the local supply in San Antonio and we bought crutches from HEB for in the cabin. The airlines were terrific and we had a blast on the ship. I had a boot on my leg and foot then had a CT scan after I got home, that is when I got the bad news I had to have surgery as the foot was badly damaged. Getting better was a long process took me 12 months to be able to walk properly. but no problem cruising!!! I wore a boot under my formal on Elegant night and then later special tennis shoes, unfortunately I have a foot full of pins and screws and a plate but it doesn't stop me cruising. Carnival has been great, they will look after you, so go and enjoy your cruise, just be careful not to fall.:)

  5. We have been on several different ships with American Table and always go to the Maitre'd the first day at around 1:00p.m. and arrange that nights meal. Then after that place the next days order with either the Hostess or the waiter before leaving the Dining Room each evening. I need salt free, and I do read the food contents on the menu and I know which items they could not do without salt. They will eliminate fancy toppings on items if you

request them to and leave entree's plain rather than covered in sauces etc.,

They will work with you as they want you to be happy and enjoy your meals:)

P.S. you do not have to wait in line to see the Maitre'd,(with people trying to change tables etc.,) just go down the side to talk to the hostess, and she will take care of you.

  6. Carib1,

I broke my foot 4 days before a cruise, rented a wheelchair and had crutches as well. I flew to San Juan and went on a cruise with strict instructions "do not put it to the floor"!!

The Xrays they took before I left for my trip told them it was a real mess, and yes at that time I had a boot to my knee. as soon as I arrived home the swelling had gone down and

the CT Scan revealed the damage. Surgery followed, and they took bone marrow from my hip to cement the bones together. I now have a foot full of pins, screws and a plate.

Tell your husband not to mess around and not wear his boot, plus stay off the leg, if he causes more problems it will take a lot longer to heal.

The Cruise Lines will help every way they can. go and enjoy, we did. And if you are not Platinum, guess what you will get priority boarding etc., because of the wheelchair
