The mini's on Emerald are the best! I'm leaving in under a month and snagged the end one with the HUGE covered balcony. I always try for one of those!

If they are adults traveling in a seperate stateroom, they MAY have to wait for tender tickets. Depends on ship, how many elites, and person at gangway. I know they should be allowed to board with you, if you plan on using an elite waiting area, not sure
-
I didn't have any, but I'm sure they were offered at the ice cream location outside by the pool

I wish it would happen again. I have it next month on my Alaskian cruise and it was priced very well. If I had tried to book in the last few months I would have pd $400.00 more pp for my mini without the all inclusive.

Great package, be aware does not cover bottled water or fresh OJ ordered or specialty coffees. Very good deal for soda, mocktails and shakes.

I would not plan a cruise for the port of Ensenada, that said....I always manage to have a good time there. Wine tour, blow hole, shopping, eating (Yes they do have a few good restaurants) , drinking or shopping. I've managed to do all the above in my stops there and had fun, but then I'm on a cruise and I expect to have a good time. If I've chosen to stay onboard...well I've done that in Europe too when I was tired and it was my third time at certain ports that have a long drive to get to once docked(think about Rome, I have also spent a week in that beautiful city and didn't want to spend the day rushing to see something again on a rushed tour)

Where do you see that price?????????????
I just checked the Princess website & the cheapest is $3,449 ($390 tax/fees included).
Same price I see both signed in or not! ($3449pp)

Trunk Bay also gets my vote, I think its rated # 3 in the world by some travel magazine. Hmmm.... I think its been far too long since my last visit, St Johns it's time for a revisit!

Winning in the casino on board....enough to cover the Panama Canal cruise fare!!!!
-
We also renewed ours on the same day, received one in 2 1/2 weeks, the other 3 weeks. No expiditing needed.

The personalizer for our upcoming cruise on the Grand says that the all-inclusive beverage package includes specialty coffees and also bottled waters. It also says 40 percent discount on bottles of wine.
Different pkg, this is the adult drink pkg including any beverage under 10.00, the soda and more is very popular without any alcohol.

As stated it is done to hold a cabin at that price. Will go away in a day or two when no deposit is made. Commonly done to keep price that was quoted you. If there was an increase the next day and you wanted the old price quoted, you could not get it otherwise.

What a well thought out review. Thank you! Yes, the shorter cruises during spring break are out of the norm.... but, it sounds like you had a real good time. I'm looking forward to the new beds also on the Ruby on my next cruise in a month and 1/2.

It will be pretty obvious once you get onboard. The areas outside will be plainly posted and also the area in the casino indoors. Enjoy your cruise!

The crew only area on the bow with their pool does not open to the public. There are plenty of viewing areas above where you get a great view. It does get crowded doing the PC, doing Alaska people come and go as viewing changes constantly

E 731 is my go to cabin that I always try to book. On my upcoming Alaska cruise on the Ruby it was already gone, so I booked E730, for the same extended balcony. Noise usually is not an issue for me. Actually looking forward to seeing if it makes a major difference or if its much ado about nothing....

Thats a tough one, but I would keep what you have for about 34.00 each to spend in specialty coffees, water and drinks to break even. Not having to pay for a single beverage is worth it for me. I also am going on the Ruby to Alaska in May and have the drinks inclusive pkg, and am looking forward to never considering "should I or shouldn't I"

Love to cruise with family and or friends. When with a lage group of 14, it makes eating together kinda difficult, but it is doable with split tables. Never insist on everyone doing the same thing, but we often end up on same excursions, but almost never have everyone doing same thing at same time. I guess we/I have been lucky in who we/I cruise with, or maybe in picking our friends.

I didn't read anything negative in the origional post, just a surprise at getting an e mail with some information from Princess. I have always gotten them, maybe I'm one of the lucky few. Have a fun filled cruise, I have to wait till May.......
-
Why not? It's fantastic to go from sauna into cold then back again. True Scandanavian oops I mean Norwegian experence!

Princess has a great childrens club, but on my last Panama Canal full transit April 2013, there were less than a dozen children on board. A partial transit may have a larger group in his age range, but full transit is a better cruise to take.
-
You can also just ask at any bar for glasses and they will ablidge. Sometimes its easier than waiting on embark day to have them delivered.
-
Princess would be my pick too, but I would have a good time on either. The Princess ships are newer and lots of balconies
-
Ruby also has new beds, new show in theatre, Star on the other hand has Marius best head waiter in fleet IMHO.
Princess vs RCCL
in Princess Cruises

I've had great cruises on both lines. (Yes there is butter on Princess, someone was complaining they had to request it, but that is not the norm) do like the coffee shop on RCC being included, but I usually have a coffee card or two with me from prior cruises. Entertainment on RC is different, more broadway style but not broardway talent. Enjoy both for what they are. More youth oriented on the RC.
